38:01 is so gorgeous man. I’ve been focused deeply on life lately disconnected myself from social medias and drama and you really learn to be alone with thoughts and love yourself and attract the right things in your life. Silent Hill really resonates with my life, it’s like facing your demons and mistakes and learning in order to keep going
From the perspective of someone who worked night shifts for multiple years, this kind of music fits right in. Especially during winter months. To ease my mind, I played music similar to this. During those bitter times, it was me, my humble shop and a lost soul here and there. Always glad to see the sunrise, knowing it's time for me to rest once more. On an end note, what I can say is that during solitude? Time flows calmly. It gives you time to feel every minute of it. It gives you time to think, in a world that is stuck on fast forward.
Those words were wisely used U made me think about a Lot of things while Reading that, thanks And, ngl, that loneliness feels somewhat a good and a bad feeling at the same time, it's like been alone on a saturday night looking at the sky from your window, but at the same time, looks like a view from a Cliff while the Sun is going down, with you there, enjoying your own Company Idk If i sounded non Sense or If i did make It understandable, but, i think i wanted to feel like this more often
You know why we all love silent hill ambience music? Because we all yearn for the calmness of what silent hill brings us. We live in such a Chaotic world that always moves at 100mph. We just appreciate the calmness of the ambience
The Silent Hill games were often more unnerving than tranquil or soothing. Maybe the first 10 minutes of Silent Hill 3 could feel calming (but it's certainly deceptive).
As a 40 year old and Silent Hill fan from the beginning, I would like to thank you for these beautiful pieces of music. You have created something great an special.
I am 33 and I was 11 when I first played Silent Hill 2 on the Xbox. I was one of the few kids from my Middle School who played and understood this game. Everybody was playing GTA 3 and dreaming of becoming a thug. I never played GTA 3 because it did not interest me. Silent Hill 2 just reflected my nightmares and dreams. Hence, why this game also led me to become more entrenched in reading hardcore literature and philosophy at a young age.
4:12 I really love the way this makes me feel. Empty, Almost left with nothing but Solitude, But Relaxed at the same time, Cry from the inside but unable to shed a tear on the outside... This was definitely my favorite one amongst the others
Sometimes the TH-cam algorithm blesses me with the most underrated music ever. This is one of those times. I'm so grateful I've found your music!! It's so hauntingly beautiful.
Im studying right now and listening this track and my tears running to my face, as many said this tracks have so much emotions and I fell that im in my own Silent Hill right now...I just want to be happy again
Been 5 years since I'm a Silent hill fan. It truly is the kind of world which you will see in your nightmarish dreams, still a calm and yet dreadful ambiance of the place.
I wish this Genre of music was way more popular. Im the kind of person that would want to hangout with friends while this in the background, talking about life n stuff.
This music makes me cry. It's been a long 14 years of addiction, but I have finally emerged from the oceans of infinite darkness drowning me. I am on the path to permanent sobriety and recovery. I feel like the crew at the end of Inception waking from a dream within a dream within a dream . . . all was almost lost, but I survived for some reason. But I know not everyone makes it, and I feel survivors guilt stab into my heart. But I would rather climb the mountain of healing every single day than to dive to the abyss in search of that lie: the thrill, the rush, the ephemeral light in the dark that promises happiness, so long as I sacrifice myself everyday to go deeper into darkness. But I have chosen true light above the dark water, and even if the scars will always remain, they will one day no longer hurt.
I know it's kinda of a stretch but I was able to draw parallels between your reflection and what i went through in an abusive relationship... I guess we all search for that ephemeral light in the dark that promises happiness without realizing we are sinking deeper and deeper in this ocean of darkness.
To the person reading this, Good Luck! Don't stress, everything will be fine. No matter what difficulty you are facing right now, you can overcome it! You are strong and brave 🥰❤
"To love without knowing how to love.. wounds the person we love." ~ Thich Nhat Hanh Thank you making this soundtrack. It gives me so much solace that I cannot get in the real world. Thank you..
Even though this game series (1-4) scares the hell out of me, I always return to it, but what you have done here made me return back in a time where I used to work night shifts alone in the office, a huge dark open plan, with only my desk lit. I would put SH soundtrack on, work and sometimes go out in the balcony to smoke a cig, watching the city under me sleeping. However lonely and melancholic I felt in there, it seemed like I had descended in another world, a parallel reality, where a part of me which doesn't show up during the day, would surface. The artist in me would just take over, and while working I would start drawing anything that comes to mind, inventing stories of the characters I drew. No matter how much I try to replicate the same feeling during the day, I would never be able to be in that place. I no longer work night shift since many years now. This video, which came up by chance, retriggered a nostalgia which drives me to stay up most of the night in my room, and let it transport me to that underworld once again. I guess all I am trying to stay is please keep on creating this music, it's more than inspiring. I'm sure it is having a similar effect on most listeners out there, taking them to that place where they can be that person where only in that place they can be like that. (It even inspired me to open up and write all this, which I usually don't comment at all anywhere on the net). Thank you! Keep up the great work!
Listening to these types of ambience. Makes me imagine an fps game where it captures all of this. A futuristic and yet dystopian world, the quiet and the sound exactly like "far below".
I listen to this when reading. Never gets old or on my nerves. It's surprising how much these songs fit the original Silent Hill. While a terrifying game, there's a dream aspect about it that isn't in the other games. It's like these songs kick inside Harry's head whenever he's alone, either wandering the streets without any monsters nearby, or scribbling on a notepad in safety.
I always come back to this playlist. By the summer of last year I felt completely numb from constant loss and loneliness and this playlist gave me some peace. Thank you for these tracks, and the tracks you continue to make, E.L.
I have restless, sleepless nights thinking about things from my past that torment me. Although these ambient songs only lasted a short time, it helped me a lot, which is why I always end up going back to it.
Im so glad i found this almost when it was uploaded... I can see years going thru and this becoming more and more relevant... In fact, i have found sometjing that will follow me for years...
The perfect score to frame this rotting heart, left in my stomach, whats left of my love for him, these songs brought me some peace that I've been looking for again
I adore this video, of somewhat innocuous-looking places of the game with no monsters, just peace and tranquility. As someone who considers Silent Hill 1 his favorite game in the series (and one of his favorite games of all time) this is a very special video for me. Thank you, this is true art.
It makes me feel like I did my best, and now I need rest. It’s like a message to you “You did what you have to do, now relax and enjoy the rest of your life”.
I don't have the words to describe what I feel while listening to "Between". A mix between melancholy and nostalgia. Like the dead memory of a period or a person we loved. Thank you very much for that and greetings from France.
these truly are the sounds i hear in my dreams, this sound represents what i see. these unreal colours, and distrorted faces. strange events and tragic to unknown endings before i wake up to in seconds…forget it all, a long story that felt like it took hours to materialize, sped up in a few seconds, very slowly. like a fast forward in slow motion…and when i wake up, the first thing i see is out my window. weather it be a purple tinted winter scene, or a clear summer sky with all the stars and the full moon. it all feels so slow, yet too fast…
If I wake up tomorrow stone-deaf, I'd be at peace with it because of the beauty of this work. Simply astonishing, a true tribute to SH without for one moment sounding like a rip-off. Huge love for this!
This started playing via autoplay while I was working on something, and my brain just immediately registered it as official Silent Hill OST stuff, until I stopped for a sec, had a moment of "wait I don't remember this what game is this from" and realized what it was. Not to downplay the composition itself, there's some really beautiful and moving stuff in here regardless of the SH inspiration. Bravo.
I recently started a programming job, I cant listen to music with lyrics or heavy melodic elements. Added this to my playlist to help me get through the grind lol, thanks for sharing
Great Track. Dithering made this game look like nothing repeats, everything is as new as the momment you stop and watch. Than you move a bit and that momment is lost. And even if you move back a step everything is still slightly different. Amazing experience. I love to return to Silent Hill everyonce in a while.
These sounds are oddly peaceful and calming. What I love the most about Silent Hill is the music, no wonder it has inspired so many people to create their own pieces. Thank you for uploading!
This is currently the best Silent Hill ambient track on TH-cam, and I think it’s because it tells a story and sets the tone. The story I see and heart in this track is the few hours, maybe minutes, before the town of Silent Hill came under Alessa’s curse. When I listen to this track and I see the empty Konami Burger with summer snow beginning to fall, at first calm, an otherwise normal place that people might go to in their daily lives, and then slowly, the music becomes more sinister, just like the town.
Silent Hill used to scare me but now I see it as the most messed up form of therapy that can actually work if people are strong enough to overcome their demons.
You did an amazing job with these and are obviously very talented. They definitely fit into the Silent Hill universe. They are very relaxing but they could also be creepy as well. Especially if you were exploring the deserted town of Silent Hill. Silent Hill 2 really captured the despair and sadness of the Silent Hill universe. Keep up the great work!
I don't know. After listening to more actual SH music, I can say that these wouldn't be out of place in a new game perhaps, but they're definitely different from the originals.
You'll probably never read this, but thank you very much for this upload. I hope you know that there are thousands of people around the world of different origins, religions, and culture that appreciate this. Thank you.
I love "Grey Distress" the most I think. I mean the whole soundtrack is AMAZING but hearing that lorn female voice calling in the foggy distance, like a Greek Siren ? Yes please I want to follow her and never come back 😍
I might be the only one on the internet with this take, but something about the mournful ambiance draws me to Christ's sacrifice. Like I imagine myself walking before a bloodied, but barren, cross on Calvary in the twilight of Good Friday or Holy Saturday with the unpolluted sky of stars and the moon illuminating the landscape. The feeling that something has changed, but we must continue on to the next day. Having played SH1 & 2, it's impossible to walk around on a foggy or snowy day without this ambiance playing in my head 😅
Phenomenal work on this and I just wanted to point out even the subtle sounds of those iconic footsteps are an incredible attention to detail and truly immersive... that little crunchy sfx throws you right back into that town, Silent Hill.
I HAD to leave a comment here about the second track "Between" i honestly dont understand anything about music and how this track was made but as short as it was it was so beautiful.. i cant even explain it but it just resonates with my soul so perfectly... i only wish that i could find this song somewhere on its own so i could loop it on yt.. Gosh i love you so much for making this Edit: i just realized i can loop chapters on mobile YES!! HAHA IM IN LOVE WITH THIS MUSIC

i'm in serenity, and while my brain decides whether or not it's comfortable with that, i'll sit here in an eternal calm...eternal until the video ends, ofcourse.
I love this so much. I'm gonna use it for my D&D campaign and my life in general, it puts me in a place mentally where I feel less anxious and more comfortable. Thanks a ton O.P.
I grew up with a GameCube and Wii so I didn’t play Silent Hill until I got an emulator on my laptop in 2011. Crazy that I’m nostalgic for it now, even though it was an old game when I played it.
I've been coming to this playlist a lot throughout a year, since I've discovered it last Fall. Iinitially, because it was a nice ambient for cold period to listen and recently, Ive been going through some tough times related to SOOO many things going through my head, from thoughts about great uncertainty of my future that Im about to face and the need to make decisions despite it. All that causing me to have rushed thoughts. Dreaming about all happy moments I could've had in life to accept they never happen. Ending with just simple feeling of loneliness and, as a result, causing really bad mood and anxiety. And this playlist has become my comfort place to virtually just sit at that cafe table, staring into fog accompanied by calm music. There i dont have to rush, not have confused thoughts, just calmly sitting and embracing the surroundings while slowly reflecting on life. (To the point this video even inspired me to make a small personal project). I've played some of Silent Hill games and I've always enjoyed the fog in them. For some reason, being alone in these games gives huge comfort and peace.
I was writing something, and I was listening to a very happy music, and the music has passed to this, but I don't realize that after fifteen minutes hehe.
Of all the Silent Hill Ambience videos out there, this is the best in my opinion. It's the one that catches that oneiric feeling you get when you play Silent Hill. I would love to have a longer version of Forward.

why is horror music in games especially survival horror games always so calming
A friend of mine has recommended me this tutorial. And i couldn't' be more happier
This is literally the only way I can focus for prolonged periods of time. Thank you for making this.
Silent Hill fans creating and sharing amazing content like this is what keeps this beautiful horror saga alive🖤🖤👍
In response starting at 21:48 is like one of the most calming, depressing, chill and cozy songs of all time
Phenomenal work on this and I just wanted to point out even the subtle sounds of those iconic footsteps are an incredible attention to detail and truly immersive... that little crunchy sfx throws you right back into that town, Silent Hill.
Feel so confortable in this ambient. Dont know why.
i'm in serenity, and while my brain decides whether or not it's comfortable with that, i'll sit here in an eternal calm...eternal until the video ends, ofcourse.
I love this so much. I'm gonna use it for my D&D campaign and my life in general, it puts me in a place mentally where I feel less anxious and more comfortable.
Thanks a ton O.P.
You really managed to keep that eerie yet relaxing vibe. I'm pretty sure you'll get far, keep it going friend!
Placid music despite the horrors lurking off in the distance.
This is really the answer to all of my ambient music desires
I grew up with a GameCube and Wii so I didn’t play Silent Hill until I got an emulator on my laptop in 2011. Crazy that I’m nostalgic for it now, even though it was an old game when I played it.
Damn commuting to this and just closing my eyes, heaven
теперь это моё настроение на весь день
I never realized how alone i really am when i listen to this music. Sometimes i want to lay down in my bed and not get up.
Amazing for walking in the park, commuting home from work and writing!
Is it just me, or this music makes you wanna go back to 2000-2004?
I was writing something, and I was listening to a very happy music, and the music has passed to this, but I don't realize that after fifteen minutes hehe.
I've just found your channel and I'm happy I did. Your tracks are so dope! 'Glass' is my favorite so far.
this is truly phenomenal bro like damn. You have some serious talent, always remember that
Of all the Silent Hill Ambience videos out there, this is the best in my opinion. It's the one that catches that oneiric feeling you get when you play Silent Hill.
I would love to have a longer version of Forward.
Beyond all hope has to be my favorite track on this mix!
