I don't know Texas laws, but other states specify how far away you have to stop from a school bus with sign out/red lights flashing. A few seconds' thought explains why. Driving recklessly through traffic immediately behind the bus would almost certainly run afoul off most of those and endanger kids. Given the driver didn't immediately barrel out of the truck into the house and would have gotten into the driveway just as fast waiting, it's hard to give then a pass for speculative potty emergencies.

Yeah I used arrive 1 to 2 hours early for work and sit in the parking lot blasting music years ago. Now, I don't drive during rush hour times unless I have no choice.
