Mattress recycling

The state is pushing to recylce more mattresses, as they take more of the increasingly expensive space in the state's landfills, many of which are nearly full. Their metal coils have also apparently damaged incinerators.

Nobody in their right mind should be wandering around there without a good mask at ALL times. The dust, not to mention cooties...eww. And dust is flammable as hell, too. Could send a big fireball through the whole place with just a spark. Static can do it.
Maybe I'm just not seeing the air circulation systems.

You are correct. What about bed bugs? All kinds of contagion laying around in there. Looks like they are building a business on the backs of ex cons.

some mattresses have fiberglass fill, which when cut open creates tiny dust particles that can irritate the lungs

Where you selling polystyrene and foam ? and what you do with the skin of the mattresses?

I work for Sims Metal and I had to pick up a load of recycle steel from one of these mattress places... but I think the steel that they collect is dumped in the ocean
