Fairfield, in Sydney's west, resettles more refugees than any other city in Australia. Soft Landing Mattress Recycling helps these refugees, along with people with mental and physical disabilities, find work. This work saves more then 500,000 mattresses from landfill, recycling 7 million kilos of steel and a million kilos of foam and latex to be used in other products.
