One Piece (stylized as ONE PIECE) is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Eiichiro Oda. It has been serialized in Shueisha's shōnen manga magazine Weekly Shōnen Jump since July 1997, with its individual chapters compiled into 99 tankōbon volumes as of June 2021. The story follows the adventures of Monkey D. Luffy, a boy whose body gained the properties of rubber after unintentionally eating a Devil Fruit. With his crew of pirates, named the Straw Hat Pirates, Luffy explores the Grand Line in search of the world's ultimate treasure known as "One Piece" in order to become the next King of the Pirates.
Toei Animation produces an anime television series based on the One Piece manga. The series, which premiered in Japan on Fuji Television on October 20, 1999, has aired more than 950 episodes, and has been exported to various countries around the world.[78] Two cross-over episodes with the anime adaptation of Toriko were aired. The first of these, which was also the first episode of Toriko, aired on April 3, 2011.[79] A second special, which also crossed over with Dragon Ball Z, aired on April 7, 2013.[80]
On June 8, 2004, 4Kids Entertainment acquired the license for distribution of One Piece in North America.[81] 4Kids contracted Viz Media to handle home video distribution. 4Kids' in-house musicians wrote a new background score and theme song nicknamed "Pirate Rap". 4Kids' dub mandated edits for content and length, which reduced the first 143 episodes into 104.[82] Initially, 4Kids originally created an English version of the first opening theme, "We Are!"[83] It premiered in the United States on September 18, 2004, in first-run syndication on the Fox network as part of the weekend programming block FoxBox TV, and later aired on Cartoon Network on their Saturday night action programming block, Toonami in April 2005. It also aired in other blocks and lineups, such as its Monday-Thursday night prime-time lineup and its Miguzi weekday after-school action block in 2006. Production was halted in 2006 after episode 143/104.[84][85] Viz also ceased its home video release of the series after volume 11. On July 22, 2010, an interview with Anime News Network and Mark Kirk, senior vice-president of digital media for 4Kids Entertainment, revealed that 4Kids acquired One Piece as part of a package deal with other anime, and that the company did not screen the series before licensing it. No, Zoro has seen the starving people of Wano. Hearing that these people are just throwing out food while other starve is enough for anyone on the crew to be pissed.

Wano was really luffy's first experience in seeing up close the fact that not everyone is allowed to eat good food or be full when under a pirate lord's control. Especially the kids, and it pissed him off. He's always hated seeing people, especially kids suffer immensely.
Considering his childhood in the Goa Kingdom it makes sense how he hates those who step over others like that

Luffy definitely killed a ship full of Beast Pirates, so the Strawhats have definitely killed people a few occasions.
It depends on what you consider as killing. If you accidentally kill a person who was attacking you or trying to harm you, it's normal thing during wars. But killing a already defeated or wounded person or killing ones who aren't willing to fight is where a line is drawn.

Luffy technically has killed tons of people. All those Marines, that have their ships destroyed and fell into the sea. All the people he knocked into the water with the conquerors haki clash, those killer fish in the colliseum ate all those people. When he damaged the building in arlong park. All that broken debris that fell on people. Luffy is guilty for tons of second degree murders.

@@ezzatcasim7639 nobody gives a shit about Sanji, Zoro doesn't need Sanji to know that wasting food is bad, Rufy MAYBE but even then he is such an eater that doesn't waste food, he eats everything. Zoro's first meeting with Rufy also involved Zoro being starved and a little girl made an onigiri but with sugar instead of salt, Helmeppo crushed the onigiri on the ground, and after he left, Zoro asked Rufy if he could put what's left of that onigiri, in his mouth. Rufy is generally a good guy toward kids...even though sometimes is harsh, because it's how Ace used to treat him(Ace disliked crybabies and whiners --> see the flashback saga)
