I had 4 kids. When I retired, I had a hard time slowing down and realizing that it was okay just to relax! You get into such a rush-rush, whirlwind of trying to get everything done. This woman even talks fast. Now I slow down and enjoy the grandchildren and my own interests.
Charissa Eden 10 kids,? and for what reason? . My parents had 9 of them and i thought of them having nine was crazy.I can see 2 or 3 kids maybe, in case one or 2 die, but half dozen or more ? Imagine if everyone did that, seems people can't wait to overpopulate the world. Families used to have many kids to help with farming the land, but totally unnecessary in these times. Japan had to make a law to stop people from having kids, because people don't understand or don't give a crap that their country , and the world is only so big. What's the rush to overpopulate and consume everything?
Joseph T. - China made a one child policy not Japan. They have since changed it because they realise the lack of workforce to support the elderly is a huge problem. Japan is literally dying off because of their low birthrate and have many incentives in place to try and encourage people to have children.
I just found your channel and can so relate! My youngest is 21 now and I homeschooled 5 girls for 20+ years. So many of the library books you mentioned brought back so many memories. I used the library and made my own curriculum which it seems you do as well. My girls have many stories about going to the library and spending hours picking out their books. Thanks for sharing!
A comment 2 years later - we have five daughters between 3 and 9 that we homeschool as well. It is not often that I see people who have the same so just a hello from this mom to you!
You are amazing. Your patience. The love you have for your family - I just love it. I just have one son and I struggle sometimes with just weekly meals. I am learning to meal prep also because it just makes life so much easier especially during the week. Love your videos.💚💜💙❤😀

I just found your channel and instantly fell in love with your videos! Thank you so much! I am a Mum of 16 Months old Twins and as much as I love them and playing with them, I never thought I would be a Stay at Home Mum and always thought I would be working. I find running the household, cooking and cleaning SOOO much harder than any office job I have ever done (or writing my Master thesis for that matter - piece of cake in comparison :-D). But looking at you makes me realise, that hopefully I will learn as the years go on and fall more into an organise Mummy routine. Sending lots of love from New Zealand.

Your homeschooling makes my heart sing! All the homeschoolers I checked out on youtube seem to have school rooms or at least cutesy school areas, full curricula and so on. We have some games, flash cards and manipulates but all the seat work is printed from the internet or the cheap workbooks like Brain Quest. I keep our school stuff in the storage room with the vacuum clearer, our bottled water and such. Seeing you take out their school made me laugh because it makes me think of myself. I constantly put out stuff to remember that we were going to do it too. Steven/Stephen really does color nice for such a little kid. Most of them do not stay within the lines that nicely.
Wow!!! I absolutely love the way you prepare in the early morning for your precious family, especially the meals. It is exciting to me to watch all the prep work you do for your months worth of meals and I am getting ideas for cooking yummy foods for my diet also great ideas cooking for my grandchildren. You and your husband have a wonderful bunch of gifts from Almighty God your children. God bless you much. I came from a large family and I never saw my mom smile; her face reflected the weight of her responsibilities with her children. It is so great to see you smile, enjoy, and love your whole family. May God reward you with all the joy, grace and His Presence all through out the days of your life.

I'm sure you know this 4 years later, but powder soap, scent beads and pods all go on top of the clothes. They will mess up your washer and drain from the detergent holder if you put it in there. Love you!!

Homeschooling a large family is literally no harder to getting them ready for school, doing their homework after school and dealing with all the school events.

Wow! I find cooking to be my worst chore with two toddlers (one and a half and two and a half) It’s not safe to have them in the kitchen but they won’t stay out and when they do, they are constantly fighting
We are shutting off our internet. Electronics are becoming more needed then they should be. How do you deal with the struggles of just wanting to watch tv or be on the computer all day with your kids?
It can be a battle. We are canceling our satellite next month when our contract is up. Tablets will have some new rules as well. Right now they are hidden in my closet. We have been on detox for a week or so. It is good for them. :)
I would be interested to know why you choose to home school? I am a teacher so it is just interesting for me to see why parents would choose to do it themselves :)
Out of convenience. Way back in day my husband worked hours where he would have never gotten to see the children. We home schooled out of convenience and now looking back over the years and what our family has done as far as moving etc. It has worked out to be the best for our family.

I appreciate all of that. We decided to Homeschool way back when my oldest was in second grade. We did it out of convenience. My husband wormed nights and he didn't get to see her. After that it just became easy. We moved a lot so it worked. It's been nice to be flexible for our family and do that

Mary Byrd I don't know. I'm going shopping this week and will look at the name. All I know is that it has an image of a woman using a scrub board for doing laundry. I'll pay attention.
The detergent she is using is called Roma. It is also called Foca (that bag has a seal on it.) Both are manufactured by the same company that makes zote soap, and it comes from Mexico. If you have a HE washing machine you should not use the powdered formula! Use the liquid form of Roma or Foca.
Wow ur house is so clean for having 10 children. I only have 3 and it's quite hard to keep it clean. I think I have a ton of work to do as a stay at home mom and I don't even homeschool. You're so organized. I'm one of 5 so I know many kids is a lot of work and I know many people that have 10, 12, 7, 8, even 17 kids and must be a lot of work there too. U say u do morning devotion, what is your faith? Christian, other?

We are shutting off our internet. Electronics are becoming more needed then they should be. How do you deal with the struggles of just wanting to watch tv or be on the computer all day with your kids?
It can be a battle. We are canceling our satellite next month when our contract is up. Tablets will have some new rules as well. Right now they are hidden in my closet. We have been on detox for a week or so. It is good for them. :)

Out of convenience. Way back in day my husband worked hours where he would have never gotten to see the children. We home schooled out of convenience and now looking back over the years and what our family has done as far as moving etc. It has worked out to be the best for our family.

I appreciate all of that. We decided to Homeschool way back when my oldest was in second grade. We did it out of convenience. My husband wormed nights and he didn't get to see her. After that it just became easy. We moved a lot so it worked. It's been nice to be flexible for our family and do that
obviously she does not have anxiety or depression which is destroying so many women, good for her if she can do all of that
No I don't have any of that. Left that stage A long time ago...didnt like being depressed:)

Mary Byrd I don't know. I'm going shopping this week and will look at the name. All I know is that it has an image of a woman using a scrub board for doing laundry. I'll pay attention.
The detergent she is using is called Roma. It is also called Foca (that bag has a seal on it.) Both are manufactured by the same company that makes zote soap, and it comes from Mexico. If you have a HE washing machine you should not use the powdered formula! Use the liquid form of Roma or Foca.
Wow ur house is so clean for having 10 children. I only have 3 and it's quite hard to keep it clean. I think I have a ton of work to do as a stay at home mom and I don't even homeschool. You're so organized. I'm one of 5 so I know many kids is a lot of work and I know many people that have 10, 12, 7, 8, even 17 kids and must be a lot of work there too. U say u do morning devotion, what is your faith? Christian, other?

I have 4, 6months to 7 years. I homeschool and work part time as a nurse. I struggle to get everything done. I’m currently focusing on purging. I need to get back to making lists. Would you say that helps a lot?
