- Hey everyone! I hope your week is going well. This video takes you along as we go to the discount grocery store and unload all those groceries. I then sit down and plan out our food menu for the current month as the weather is turning warmer and we do less oven cooking. Enjoy and watch for the next parts of preparing the foods! Be blessed

+Blessed To Be Mom well, what I have noticed is that where we used to live we didn't have them but food was cheaper. Here food is more and do for me the discount stores help a lot :)
That was so nice of your daughter to take you shopping at all the different stores. You did a good job raising her! Plus, it was a good chance for you to hang out. I love it when my daughter and I go shopping together.....it's fun that she's all grown up. When I get a good deal on sweet potatoes, I make them just like regular mashed potatoes, but add a little cinnamon and nutmeg and we all really like it.

You always get me motivated! You get me excited to take care of my kids, cook, clean, do nice things for my husband. Thank you! Sometimes it gets overwhelming but best job in the world. It is nice to see someone else who gets excited about the same things as me! Hope you have a fun week!

Throw some of those croutons in an egg, cheese, and sausage casserole. Delicious-especially if they are seasoned.

An idea for that massive bag of croutons... I crush them up, add seasonings if needed (garlic pwdr, ital seas) add grated Parmesan cheese. Cut up boneless skinless chicken into "nugget" size. Whip an egg white, dip chicken in that and then crumbs. Bake. SOO nummy!

I take them add chicken stock, sauteed onions,carrots and celery. Savory, egg. Bake it till its done homemade stuffing is yummy.

Love your videos I also budget shop found two great discount stores with 7 miles of each other with amazing prices they are about 20 miles away from where I live but so worth it as my mom says I can squeeze a dollar out of a dime my freezer stays so packed wished I could show you some of the things I get at these stores I absolutely love budget shopping can get so much food for very little and not run out during the month we will never go hungry

my husband created this dish where you take a hot dog, cut down the middle, add mashed potato to the center of it and top with shredded cheese. We typically have it with baked beans.

I’m of Hungarian decent...My mother would make chicken pupricosh ...one day she thought she had chicken in the freeze and didn’t so she replaced the chicken with hot dogs! It feeds a lot of people and taste so good especially with corn bread on the side... all you do is in a large pot you sweat onions and peppers one of each for a small family... then you brown hot dogs cut in pennies....then add chicken stock and cubed potatoes and two large cans of diced tomatoes .. simmer to let flavors mingle...them serve with corn bread. May not sound good , but if you try it you will be pleasantly surprised!

amy maryon ...It really is , I hope you try it! I saw how inexpensively you were able to get hot dogs and thought adding another way to use them might be welcome!
You can also cut them in half and line the bottom of a baking dish with them , top wit mashed potatoes and then top with cheddar cheese! The kids called it kidders pie , because they liked it so much. I only had four kids to feed but all the kids in the area found their way to my table and the campsite and pond on our land. This was another inexpensive way to feed a crowd.

Amy...you have my utmost respect...I was one of 6 kids growing up...that was a very long time ago, as I am almost 70 now...you have a lot of great ideas that I could even use as a widow and living alone. I don't know where on earth you get the energy and the patience to raise your children and shop the way yall have to...seems like so much work, but you seem to just dive into it and get it all done. It almost overwhelms me just to think of how you manage to do it all!!

Having the Lord in our lives is always the best way to face life...He definitely brings me many, many blessings...His Blessings to you and your family too...it is fun to watch yall prepare all these meals, but it seems so overwhelming at the same time.

Please consider bringing your own bags to the store! I cant help but notice how many plastic bags were used with so many groceries
Those plastic store bags may get reused. I have totes but i also keep store bags for litter box clean up and small trash cans like for the bathroom or office. They are disposable but useful.🤗

We use to take SPAM at my house and graded it up on shreader and made ham salad sandwiches. Really good.

The rice crispy cereal can be substituted for other cereals. We like coco pebbles and fruity pebbles. My favorite is golden grahams. Leave everything else in the recipe the same. Hsve a great day!

If your family have not done already, perhaps growing some fruit trees and annuals for your family would be wonderful. You have so much food scraps which you can compost. Morning, I am the granmom and I would like to say that boneless rump roast at $1.69 is wonderful yet Angus beef is much higher how come gas for autos expensive it's $3.49 a gallon in Maryland-Baltimore.

Help - tried to freeze two bananas. What did I do wrong.
1) Removed the skin.
2) Cut into bitesize chunks.
3) Put in freezer zip lock bag, did not individually freeze as I was taking them all out in one go for my morning cornflakes.
4) New White flesh Banana's, not old ones.
5) Took them out last night - looked fine, put in fridge in bag, didn't open -to defrost.
6) This morning brown and mushy.......
What did I do wrong ?
Bananas are not going to be firm at all after frozen. I use mine for baking or smoothies. Do what you did and use in baking or smoothies. I keep mine frozen for smoothies otherwise they get brown and mushy

Back in Michigan food was cheaper so I feel like even though we have discount stores it helps balance it out. Make sense?

I love love love your channel! Ive been watching so many videos of yours :) its only me and my partner so it wont be nearly as much food as for you guys but im excited to start a meal prep! Im starting small with a week at a time. Im making myself pasta and garlic bread (for work lunches) and my partner wants turkey slices with his. And im thinking making ceasar salads as a side or as a snack for our break during lunch time. Im new to cooking so im learning off of so many videos! I was wondering though if i were to make ceasar salad would you happen to know how long the chopped lettuce would last? Ive also noticed some people squeaze lemon on the lettuce as well have you tried this? Thank you!
I appreciate all of that! Thanks for ideas! I wouldn't chop the lettuce, it will turn brown quicker use plastic knife or just tear lettuce. Let me know how yours went.. My salads last a few weeks as long as there is no wet stuff in them
I know I’ve said it before but I love to watch your videos, can you give me any tips and hints for food shopping? There are 6 of us here 1 of my children is gluten free and we find the food is expensive to buy, we try to stick to a budget of around £90-£100 a week but normally go way over 🤦♀️

+Michelle Estes it is so nice to meet you! We do a tater tot casserole and a sloppy Joe casserole. Kombucha is a fermented drink with lots of health benefits. Something that is starting to pick up with as a good health thing but we have been making it for years. I should have cashed in lol. +Sarah Siskin she is doing great! Loves us and loves to snuggle and play with the kids. She is too young to teach that potty training thing so my carpets are cleaned once a week yikes!!!!! I think I was told about 11-13 weeks and they can be trained :). Super sweet curled up in my lap now :)
Whoever told you that isn't correct. If you take a puppy out every hour or so and right after it wakes up, after it eats, when it's been playing, etc. and take it to a particular spot in the yard and say "potty" and then give huge praise it will be trained in no time. The longer you wait the longer it takes.

Burger King has flame broiled patties, they have a $ 1.00 menu. Their food is better for you than McDonald's. As of now everyone is getting sick off the salads. Hope your not still eating them from there.

I faithfully shop at Aldi, but more recently my husband has been trying to convince me that a Sam’s Club membership will be worth it as well. What are your routine items you purchase from Sam’s Club? I’m considering, I just want to be sure it’s truly worth it I suppose.
I know. It was hard for me to decide if it was worth the extra money. We spend about 200-250 in sams each month. The video I will be posting today has a whole clip of what I am buying at sams club. It is just taking forever with my mountain internet?!?!?! Keep watch for it:)
it's freaking cheap to buy tortillas in the American.. in Denmark we pay nearly $2 for 6-8 piece.

That van has lap belts it is a big van. There aren't straps across shoulder
