Go go go! Good work dude!! Your 100% on the mark about mindset! I think there is something very important too in this video that directly parallels to real race events. At the end of your 30 day experiement, you were initially unhappy with your flying & knew that you were capable of more given you were under less stress, or maybe less tired etc, & yet your time was still way faster then when you started. In real events, its very rare to bring across your 100% to any race, infact I'd argue most struggle to bring what they consider their 60% to a race. In terms of racing a big part of training is to almost make yourself "overqualified" for that specific event, that way your scaled back self in the right environment might just be enough to pull it all together. I'd love to see you try this again with two race drones (incase one fails) & in the summertime! One more note too: Cinema & freestyle quads can help you get track time too! They may not be a thorough bred race machine, but stick time & enjoyment behind the sticks is paramount to progress!
I train with Liftoff, I'm in my mid-40s, and have been flying fpv for just under a year. I find that I am comfortable somewhere around the 250th fastest in full races on the leaderboard. Consistently, I find that the fastest racers are about twice as fast as I am. My estimation is that I could probably compete with the top 100 fastest racers, if I dedicated all of my time to it, but without some unknown variable, I don't see myself breaking the fastest records on the leaderboard. Maybe someday I will surprise myself, but that is not likely. Would have had to start learning to race at age twelve, in order to keep up with these speeds.
if you keep this up you will no dauntedly have hundreds of thousands of subscribers bro, this production quality and editing as well as everything else is just so high level for someone with only 2k subs and 6k views. Great job dude you earned what's coming to you (in a good way of course). God bless.
You are hands down my favourite creator at the moment! The video quality, details and editing is beyond professional. Well done and can't wait for upcoming content! Also started the same thing today because of this video, 30 days of SIMing everyday, twice a day for 30min with a timer exactly you do, consciously doing excercises to improve my overall flying. I only fly for 50h in real life now ( 5 weeks of flying everyday min 2 times without a fail, 5 batteries each time without ), but I used to have DJI FPV, now I still have it but I also bought Geprc mk5 to have a real freestyle drone, just received it and set up 2 days ago and I use my goggles and controller from DJI FPV combo with it. I'm more than happy with it, amazing piece of equipment. Thank You for your work once again!!!
"OK, nod at the screen, now shake your head, yes, yes, that's it...ok, now look confused, raise one eyebrow, work it, work it..." (this is me directing your intercuts).... Love you long time, Reed. (Nice improvement there, lad)
This is an awesome video, dude. I am content creator myself (and a drone racer), and I know how hard it is to make videos. Your quality and editing skills are really good. Keep it up, man. One day I can be good at editing like you are. But that will be way after you can beat me on the track if you keep practicing. Your progress is impressive. Even 15 minutes a day in VD is massive. Cuz it's about consistency of practice. For all newcomers, droneracing is still pretty knew. You can become competitive in it in a matter of half year. Way faster than in any other racing. And it's fun as heck. Hello to Thomas and Evan.🎉
Amen to that, no replacement for putting the work in. Know your goal, mine isn’t to race, but for fun and to capture FPV type video in the process but it’s pretty cool to see your progress…there is hope LOL 😂
I start with 5" and I get dramatically improvement in hitting gaps when I switch to whoops with 20 packs and pinching (hybrid) style. for my friend, he said huge handling improvement when switch from large remote (TX16s) to Zorro... but I feel suck when switch to small remote LoL.
Oh for sure man, I’m on the same page as you, I cannot handle a small remote well at all! It’s one of the reasons I’m not a fan of the newer DJI remote 2 honestly
Halowalker would be a good example of all sim to pro. Its constantly raining here in my country so sims to keep training. I barely fly IRL i think the sim helps a lot and keeps you sharp. :)
When the camera feed is grey, it means that the camera has been short circuited. You should probably be able to fix it by going over your solder joints and making sure that none of them are touching.
Verry Nice video. Only thing I have to say is: in the beginning you better practice consistency. Because I think this helped lots to bring my times down in velocidrone. And also don't reset after each crash because irl this isn't possible. But for the rest you did an amazing job.
To be honest bro that was a good sign you wore out that gimble means you was putting in the hard work I've been flying quads over 10 years FPV only about a few weeks it's a crazy world I've been just sticking to my simulator lol but my new charger also took a poop so have to wait to afford another one hopefully soon I'm itching to fly again but for now the sim will do
I always end up in my own head on the 3rd lap. Lol 960 hours in Velocidrone, but between lack of time, the weather, and lack of money, I dont fly much IRL, so when I do, I end up stressing something and screwing up.

It's cool lots of people enjoy the video, it's well made and if you like it it's the most important. what are the five33 rates?
If using the 'Betaflight' rate type
RC Rate = 0.80
Rate = 0.70
RC Expo = 0.00
Did you focus more to be faster/quicker (to finish lap as fast as possible), or to be more technical (slower laps, trying to hit gates in more narrow angle, align correctly for next gate...etc.)?

Why don't you put the Meteor75 Pro with the insta360 go 3, like with the tinyhawk 2 freestyle
Could be a fun little idea actually! I haven't got the Go 2 like I used to anymore, but now that I've got a tiny drone again, maybe it's time 👀

Well your first problem is your doing this with just one drone. You should of built 3 or even 4 and things would of gone much smoother
