We took our spindles off and added in horizontal deck boards which added a modern look to our ordinary deck. Transformation looks amazing and adds a little more privacy to our deck.

Sorry, no outside shots, although I just kept a couple spindles to help support and nail in the boards. Wish the outside looked better, would have probably replaced spindles with 2x4s or something more modern looking to make the outside 'prettier".
