Pete, you've rightly preached about the importance of at least having appropriately powered studies (we need a short term for this...) before your agent slings your du jour pop-sci book into the self-help-o-sphere. But strangely I didn't hear you mention how 'powered' Milkman's research is at all in this review, could you speak more to this?
Katy’s book is great. It really is. But…it’s a thesis and valuation on what she’s arrived at. There’s nothing individual about her findings. Pity really.
Common sense is often wrong or only applies in non-obvious situations. Common sense can overestimate the importance of an effect too. Common sense acts as the beginning of a hypothesis but not a fact itself.

Great video! Short and to the point. Any examples from your own life with using these?
I’m fascinated by Milkman’s 2 different cover designs and wondering which one has “triggered” the most sales.
the one with more marketing

She needed research to discover obvious solutions known for thousands of years?? .Common sense became money making sage wisdom?? WTF

Would you bet your life on "common sense" rather than science proven fact?
@@iTXS What do you imagine has been "proven?"
Funny to see this on a fraudulent research website. This is such weak sauce, verging on the ridiculous.
