They also made a 10000 size reel. These were made in around 1969 - nNow you know! One of my favorites from this series is the 7000. I consider it one of the best reels ever made - Dennis
Thanks - this one is a bit intimidating. The service requires a lot of patience and a sense of humor. I sometimes wonder how they made these in the manufacturing plant. It just could not have been efficient
@ yes Dennis a lovely reel and well overdue for a service 🤒. Unfortunately it so expensive it’s nearly cheaper just to use it til it fails and then just buy another reel. I’ve gone away from the overheads due to the braid giving much more line capacity to the spinning reels. Sign of the times. The spinning reels much easier to service.
The master again makes difficult things look easy.
Thank you for the kind words - Dennis
Love this reel. Yeah, looks somewhat complicated to take apart, but the automatic 2 speed system looks reliable. Nice service.
They are very reliable and the 2-speed system is quite unusual. There was also a syncro model that had some interesting designs too!;
Wow didn't know there was a ambassaduer model 9000. I have numerous other models.

That's good to hear. I have one I use for off shore charters here in California
Great video. I would have some fear of that one. Busy stuff going on.///bill
They are as complicated as they look inside. You need to bring your "A" game to play with this one! Thanks Bill
A really good but complicated Reel and a very good but complicated Service .. . Thanks Dennis for another great Video .
It can be a bit of a challenge but this reel was worth the effort to restore!
Intimidating reel! Sometimes what I learn here is to send the reel in for servicing.

I’ve got the same reel but in the 10000. Would love to service it but to complicated for this old fart. Good video thankyou Dennis
THat 10000 is nice too and yes, it is complicated to service. When it needs to be done, make sure you find someone who can do it right - Dennis
