I’m convinced Mike can play anyones song’s. He’s a true wizard with an axe in his grasp and never gets enough respect. Epic covers!!

@@fab.silva1119 hate to break it to ya, dude, but his version was better in terms of proficiency/accuracy, quality, and raw emotion than yours.
While you are definitely far better than I am, I am certainly not going to knock your talent. And you've definitely got a style you prefer. Meanwhile, he masters and embodies the sound of pretty much any great guitarist out there. Most technical? No. But his solos are a lot more powerful than someone like Bonamassa and therefore a lot more enjoyable. It's like saying Jimi wasn't that great.
But you know you're just saying this to be contrarian. He plays with exceptional talent and emotion.
Vastly underrated, maybe one of the most underrated ever.
Thats insane to say.
At least the audience appreciates they are hearing great music ...

I knew that Mike has always been a fan of classic hard/heavy rock but I was pleasantly surprised that PJ decided to pay homage to VH during a show. This is only another proof of how much respected VH, and especially Edward, was. Even by musicians who apparently had not that much in common with them. I remember being at a Korn show. It was many many years ago, when they still had the original lineup, and just before the encores Munky came back on stage alone and played a great version of Eruption. Don't know if it was improvised or a rehearsed routine, but it was great!

Very good of them to tribute that "dinosaur band" Van Halen. Eddie was technically advanced, but really he was just a 1/2 Indonesian 1/2 Dutch kid, who used his brain to build his own guitar outta discarded parts, and invented his style. Pearl Jam came along and eliminated many of the poser bands from LA that were mere imitations of the mighty VH. But Eddie Vedder and the guys in Pearl Jam were fans of the real bands like VH.
