      Hi there! It depends on the model. Some of them are programmable to stay on at full brightness for a set amount of time, while others will stay on a lower power setting until motion is detected and then ramp up to the full brightness.

    Those 4800 solar, are you referring to a lumens? How many watts are there on 4800 lumens?

    • @WaganTech
      @WaganTech  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@rickcooper3180 yup. We keep the naming simple. 4800 lumens when the motion sensor activates. We don’t measure in watts because the lumens per watts technology keeps updating and getting more efficient. We’ve seen some folks out there say they’re 1000 watts, the lumen and effective light output is so much worse than ours, so that’s why we measure in output lumens.

    We are trying to illuminate a double-sided ground sign. The sign is around 48" tall x 96" wide. It really just needs to put off enough light to let drivers read the sign, don't want to blind anyone with anything too bright. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

    • @WaganTech
      @WaganTech  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      To be honest, I don't know if our lights are right for your needs.
      Our lights are intended to utilize the motion sensor to light up an area when a passerby comes. Once motion ceases and about 30 seconds pass, the light will go into a low-light (dim) mode.
      Some of the lights are remote controlled and can have a timer-mode set to illuminate at a desired brightness for a set amount of time, but this may not be what you need?

    If you mounted the 1600, 2000 and 3000 on poles 10' high, what would be light diameters. From your video, I think I might have purchased the wrong one for the lake lot.

    • @WaganTech
      @WaganTech  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Laine, mounted at 10', each light would produce a light-spread of about 35' (feet) on the ground.
      I would recommend mounting the lights higher if possible to give a better radius.
      At 15 feet, the lights would produce a 52 foot spread.
      The lights with a higher lumen rating will make that spot brighter with more "spill" around the radius.
      Hope this makes sense?

    Can someone explain me the physics behind these 2000 lumen light and 4000mA battery. As we know 2000 lumens consume 20 Wh (watt per hour) and during the night (10 hours) the light will consume 200 watts of electricity. Now we have a 4000mA battery which means 4 Amps and if it is a Li-ION battery it means its voltage is 3.7 Volts. So the total power of the battery is 14.8 watts. My question is if the total power is ~15 watts and the consumption per hour is 20 watts, how can it be that 1 charge will last for 10 nights (10 nights for 10 hours)?

    • @WaganTech
      @WaganTech  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Great question. We actually include a technology called ALT whereby if there is no motion nearby, the LEDs go into to low power mode and when a critter or a person walks by then it goes to full power mode for a short period of time. Note that during the day the lights will continue to charge, and it will self maintain the high power low power modes automatically. Hope that helps.

    Hi - I have a farm laneway that I'm trying to light up. Two questions: (1) are there any models where the 'dusk to dawn' feature includes an option to have the light off unless motion is detected, instead of being on at 30% all the time? I don't want the light on unless there's motion or unless I manually turn it on with the remote. And (2) My laneway is oriented North/South and partially treed, so I'm worried about the units with the built-in solar panels instead of the external one. I think I may need to / want to turn the panel to face South rather than having them face East, which is how it would be for an integrated unit. Thanks.

    • @WaganTech
      @WaganTech  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, the answer to your question depends on the light model. Our Solar + LED Floodlight 2000 Remote Controlled (8589-9) will "idle" at 10% brightness, and then ramp-up to 100% when motion is detected.
      Our Solar micro wall light (8570) will go from 0% at idle to 100% when motion is detected, but it is usually intended for smaller paths (it sounds like you're trying to illuminate a rural road of sorts.

While you'll never achieve daylight without some crazy bright (& expensive) lights, I would still suggest our Solar + LED Floodlight 4800 or the soon-to-be released Solar + LED Floodlight 3000. Besides output, the biggest difference between the two is the ALT or Adaptive Lighting Technology found on the 3000 model. I think you'd be happy with the 4800 model IMO.

      Unfortunately, we do not have any sizeable lights in that Kelvin range. Most of our larger area floodlights lights are around 6000K.

    Ques ur using lumens.. Meaning the brightness..
    But here in our country its watt.. How do i convert?

    • @WaganTech
      @WaganTech  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can calculate watts from lumens and luminous efficacy. Lumen and watt units represent different quantities, so you can't convert lumens to watts.
      What is normally done is to compare a standard lightbulb output to lumen rating.
      For example, 375 lumens is comparable to a 25W lightbulb.
      900 lumens is around 60W
      1500 lumens is around 100W
      Also consider the beam of the light. If comparing our streetlights to a light bulb, the beam is focused around 180 degrees.

      Lumens is a semi-accurate way to determine brightness (not really, but it can get you in the ballpark), where as volts do not measure light output in any way.
      The higher the lumen number, the brighter the light will be.
