I tried HC trade this league. Got to 92 and the league just felt so dead. No one to trade with, nothing to buy. It felt like SSF but you can maybe purchase something u wont find in SSF. If HC trade had a larger pop i would play it.
First time playing SSF HC and been playing since betrayal. It's really revitalised the game for me...the amount of times I've almost shat my pants even in acts. No longer a boring slog. Thanks for the vids, Ziz.

Truthfully, one of the best ways to adjust to hardcore, is to play softcore with a hardcore mindset. At least for a few characters. That way you can learn and analyze without it costing you hours or days of your time.
.. Yeah.. I don't really buy that. To have a HC mindset you need to fear the game and how would you fear the game if there is no consequence to dying.. Nah I think the only way to fear dying is when you can die. So, train HC in HC. Same thing for people that say they practice bosses in SC to then play them in HC.. might be me but SC feels just entirely different than HC.

Check your resists after the Kitava fight in Act 10!! Storming into the side-quest to unlock der map-device // your first map, can get you killed, if you are too focused on the goal :).
This is a great video, I been playing for years and still learning things. I didn't realize harbour bridge was an excellent place to level and have been leaving blood aqueducts to soon

Former hardcore player here, I used to play it but as time progressed I didn't play the game as much (life gets in the way). As the game changed and they revamped the new acts I found myself needing to relearn and also learn mechanics. Not to mention my internet is not fully reliable enough so its just asking for doom to play HC. Now I play softcore and while its not as rewarding to me and feels a bit hollow, I am at least glad I can play the game. Its really become such an awesome game and through people like you and other content creators I've been able to adapt. Thank you for your posts.
Going hardcore made me care so much more about a character. In softcore, id normaly play a build until level 90 and then get bored of it and start a new character. This meant I was always broke because I was starting new build every 2 days or so, and, I never really carrd to actually fix any build entirely. Never grinded for end game gear and if I was getting one shot or dying it was just the one off. As long as gear was just “good enough” it was wearable. In HC, Its so much fun to actually even HAVE the opportunity to fix a character before it dies.
I have been thinking about trying SSF HC for a while but was always scared to do so. Can you make something like tier list/best builds for HC for players new to HC?

@@chiyou425 Minion builds are not for everyone thats for sure. I like popcorn srs because you can just spam spirits and sprint around. As far as jugg or champion im not sure i just know jugg slam builds are super popular for hc
Deaths count isn’t really a good thing to look at, it’s either your build being super squishy or rolling risky map mods with juice. You cannot die like dozens of times with a tanky build. Especially glancing blows+ES gain on block combo lets you survive even if you dc for like 4-5 seconds.
@@ismailtemur1 point I was making is the amount of deaths I have while activly trying not to die shows I am not ready for hard core. Only takes 1 death in hard core no matter how tanky I am, and I clearly am not at the point of being able to identify what I need to change. Also it was like 75% a joke
@@ismailtemur1 Nah dw in the start of act 5 when I had 2k hp 1k mana with mind over matter after I facetanked the act4 boss without a problem, in a random ultimatum some giant monster appeared and everything started moving extremely fast for no reason and I just got poped like I have 100hp.
I do this in the labyrinth on softcore. Nothing makes me angrier than getting killed and having to redo the entire lab because the strongbox has freeze. I've RIPped on a few boxes that detonate corpses, too.

Are there any good ways to farm a Rumi's on SSF? I heard you could get it from the three unique mobs in the Atziri thing, but I've done all my frags and still no Rumi's :(
tips from casual HC player. you will 100% be rich if you are keep running T16 in hc trade. I only run magic maps even if T16. many people says you really want to use alch or alch/vaal for 100%+ quantity. however I still sustain T16 maps and never fail ultimatum(it gives tons of money)

I'm playing hardcore SSF for the first time this league, made a Reap Chieftain , 1600 hp, 300hp/s regen, tons of armour, enduring cry for another 1k instant life regen, molten shell giving me 500 shield, and I still died to his beam, because I got stuck in his minions. That felt awful
Including the ones you listed, I skip increased attack/cast speed and beyond for map mods. I wish I also skipped crit mods since I'm pretty sure Drox crit me with an auto and ended my run.
I just want all the achievements, so I finally decided to make a hc character today (after only 400h in the game). I´m in act 2, 700 life and res capped but I´m still so scared of the oversoul...
If you got tip for lag tell me. I have lost more character on hardcore from lag then from hardcore content. Saddest moment is when I thought I live through the lag but the damage was just delay.
also unless you are super confident in the tankiness of your build, just skip dangerous things like metamorphs and harvest. both of them almost killed me on my way to level 90 on HC.
I started playing hc today. Im playing a dual wield frost blade block glad (self made). Do you have a video explaining some builds that are good for new players on hc? Builds that have things explained in the video. If this build fails then I don't know any hc build that will have dmg and defence as well like you said.
What helped me the damn most is just trying the bossfights that are considered rather dangerous (like piety act 4) where some of the bosses abilities easily kill you most of the time if you dont manage to avoid it. (died to piety in my first hardcore playthrough because i got beam'ed even tho i had pretty good defences so ive put that example)
Ppl saying they wont play hc because of freezes and such are so innocent... That sort lf stuff happens on juiced maps and the fun part about hc isnt that but rather getting to maps and slowly grinding maps. You probably dont even do maps with even half the juice youd put in softcore characters simply because the risk isnt worth it. I have a pretty potato pc and Im on constant 60fps in all acts befores league mechanics (such as ultimatum) start kicking in.
I enjoy the risk of hardcore but the start of this video makes me assume you beat the game before all that and that I should think about my resistances for each boss.

I don't think you talked about Lab, but I believe doing the first 2 Labs as soon as you unlock them will greatly increase the chances of surviving the 10 acts. Izaro is not scary compared to some bosses
The best tip would be to NOT play hardcore, just look at reddit for all those funny COMPLETELY RANDOM deaths .... texture streaming / shitty game performance / screen clutter ... there is so much that can kill us where we cant do anything ...

Step 1: Buy the best computer possible and turn your settings down until the game looks like Super Mario on a killing spree
step 2 : have a perfect internet connexion.
step 3 : pray that the game and sever don't have bug/problem.
You forgot to mention that when you join HC everytime you see someone in the ladder rip, you have to turn on global chat.
For my money, Yugul is still the most terrifying boss during the acts.
Yugul has nothing on Vilenta imo.
I die more to the porcupines leading up to Yugul than anything else in the acts, lol

Every maptier makes monsters do about 10% more damage. So.. there is no magic switch that gets pulled when your in a T16 map compared to T15.

Try an earthquake or ground slam jugg, a essense drain/contagion trickster or any necro minion build

Started a hardcore group with some buddies recently, 5 bucks per person, whoever gets the farthest takes all. This could be really helpful.
Make sure you got good dps. Doedre and Piety in Act 4 can be really dangerous if you don't have the dps, but so is Innocence in act 5.

One thing that's worked for me is playing a summoner. My minions have saved me more than once when my system lagged.
Never understood why logout macro are permitted but not flasks macro...
Because in most games, 1 action macros are usually allowed. Logging out is one action, using 4 flasks on 1 button, is 4 actions turned into 1.

I got to 75 as a dominating blow guardian. Went into a vaal side area in a map, opened a door and like 20 chaos spitters obliterated me in .2 seconds
