The idea to keep a running update of every gear swap you would do would be amaaaaazing. I've probably levelled hundred of characters, but the one thing I struggle with constantly is getting res capped at a good time, or finding good gear that is also linked well for my skills, or finding enough currency to be able to craft a res or something onto my gear. It's why I play softcore so much because the levelling gear situation is so dire. Having a spreadsheet where each gear piece is shown at level 1, then every time you change a piece, having an arrow pointing to the next piece and a note saying "level 5, swapped to 10% ms boots, lost sockets so moved skills to gloves" or something. agreed, a piece by piece straight-line progression should be staple to posting build guides. Think that would be so sick! Also, maybe a qualifier on the specific progression jump as well so the player knows that you think this was a insane drop early so not really easily achievable. Good idea for sure!

I’m a few hundred hours deep and still learning tons my tip is to just dig in, read about one thing at a time and what started as random knowledge will quickly start to paint a bigger picture
I consider myself a Newbie Crafter, Yet I easily made over 10 Divines (A Big deal early in the League for a New Player like me). I just Crafted on mostly Item Level 82+ Belts, Rings, Gloves, Boots and Jewels with a "High item Level" Base. Only Buy / Farm Item Level 82 or Above Bases which often gives you crazy Mods. You wouldn't believe how easy it was to craft Good mods on a High item Level Base, Like once every 3 ~ 5 Essence Spam, I used to get Items worth anywhere from 20 Chaos to 2 Divines. This was a Strategy I used for the first few weeks into the New League. However, You just need to know what Bases sell - Like Two Toned Boots, Spiked Gloves, Two Stone Rings, Stygian Vise Belts, etc.
Don’t forget about hubris circlet and titanium spirit shield. Those two are big early money makers for me. I’m also in the same spot as you “newbie” crafter. I’ve really focused on crafting just helms for a league then this league I’m only doing belts…hopefully I can get a better grasp this way for each item.

Alright, this is gear guide done right. My man shows actual crafting/items on craft of exile instead of having it all be "IN THEORY, HM, YES.." I don't know why actual examples are missing almost always in videos related to gear when a tool, such as craft of exile exists so you can show, not tell.
I got a little lost on the explanation of using low essences on jewelry. You never really said why. What is the advantage to doing so? In your examples, you kind of just walk away with a neck that has the lightning % damage and nothing else. And even if it rolled something else, wouldnt it just be a roll limited to the items level anyways?
I think those essences are low level so he would not be using them really other than to upgrade them into higher tier essences with the 3 for 1. But, because rings have the useful mods at a lower item level, you can burn those lower tier essences and get the mods you actually need for late game. Then you would just use higher tier essences on the upgrades spots that need a higher item level to hit the mods your build needs to be successful.
Hey Ziz, I am a ney player of PoE, just started a few days ago and I have a question: Why are you screwed at 41:40? Is there a thing I dont understand? Btw, your content is so incredible helpful for a newbie like me! Thanks for that and keep it up
What he's talking about here isn't really relevant for new players as it's super end game crafting, but I'll answer anyways: He's screwed because he reforged into 3 prefixes and 3 suffixes, meaning there is no more room available for the "Suffixes cannot be changed" crafting mod that he needs to reforge again. The only way to fix this is to remove a random affix with an Annulment orb and hope he removes a prefix instead of one of the high value suffixes he's trying to lock in. In this case he annuls a suffix and his endgame item is "bricked" (altho even bricked end-game crafts can still be valuable items and sell for a lot of currency)
I like PoE but even gear at 10 divine is beyond an average player like me. Say you want to get 4 decent items, that's 40 divine and miles away from us. And I'm not wanting to go buy currency online.

The difficulty and the explanation level fluctuates so much that you feel lost and disoriented.

I always get stuck at red maps because I don't know what to do to get better gear.
