Oddly enough, I've been using that knot for years in other types of crafts, etc., but it was only when I began bead weaving about 7 mos. ago, that I learned it was called a 'half-hitch' knot! LOL!
Huh? I'm stunned, to avoid the premature knot is actually VERY SIMPLE! You just put the needle through the loop and DON'T just pull the thread at the needle end but first you pull the thread between the needle and the loop to close the loop and than you can just pull the remaining thread without risking a premature knot.
