    First I tried to learn using a book I've used in the past. Immediate frustration. Found this video and the concepts of building a room and turning at every corner made it so much easier and enjoyable. Already thinking of ways to use stitch. Thank you.

    This was Marvelous! Sad I was late to see it. I loved Jill’s experience with the Czech Republic. I’ve always wanted to go there. Besides the fact that I am a Czech girl too. There are beads! You ladies were so cute!

    I love RAW. It was the first stitch I learned from one of your tutorials when I started beading and I fell in love with it. There are so many designs that can be created.

    I love the tip; "right angle means no straight intersections." That's where I've always messed up. Also, I worry about wasting thread in my projects, so, when Jill emphasized why going straight was a "no-no" at the top of the second apartment... I finally GOT IT! Chasing the thread and sewing in circles are two phrases in every RAW video I've watched, but never before did it hit home until today. Thanks, Jill.

    Wow!!! A great tutorial thankyou :) I'm a complete newbie at beading. Ive got some beads and some patterns but no idea how to put the two together!! So I had to TH-cam some tutorials to learn basic weaving techniques and this is the first video I watched. It is so well presented that even I can understand it LOL. Looking forward to watching more of you Jill and I cant wait to actually make something!! Thankyou so, so much :) xx

    Thsi is a creative way to explain the stitch, and it is understandable,,,I got confused at the 'no straight lines' part. BUT this video is the best i have seen on a RAW stitch, which I have not ,mastered after multiple tutorials. Thanks, Wish me luck.

    I've done RAW, but recently came across instructions for "one-drop right angle weave." Does anyone know what that is and where there might be a TH-cam video tutorial for it?

    Hello, Jill, I'm back! I have two doubts. To use this stitch, I have to pick beads in number multiples to 4 ( 4,8,12...) ? What would be the difference, in the resoult, if I use square stitch, to do it? Hugs from Rio de Janeiro/Brasil

  • @KaruniCooper
    @KaruniCooper 10 ปีที่แล้ว

    When i went to your web site to print out directions, page one had the two bead explanation, Page 3 thru 5 is diagrams of one bead per side and it is hard to follow. Do you have a whole pattern with two beads per side/ Using the house analogy?

  • @veraluciapapaleo6483
    @veraluciapapaleo6483 9 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hi, Jill, I'm not sure I used the correct name of the stitich. The one I meant was the one that you put 3 beads in the thread and cross them in a forth one and so one. More hugs

    Hi Jill, i thank you for all of your tutorials!! This is how I've learned to bead, period. Your fabulous!! I have a question....how do you keep your right angle weave so tight? My first line of RAW is always tight in some areas and loose in others.....should I go around the the 4 beads a second time? This seems to mainly happen when I use metal seed beads.....which is a lot! After that first line the rest are good. I don't cut corners to stitch quicker, so I'm not sure what my problem is. What should I do?
    Thank you for allowing me to take your time!!
    Mel

      I almost always go around the beads 2x. I find I have much better tension control that way.

    Is there a reason why tutorials on RAW does not use Delica beads?? (Your book and many other top designer/instructors only mention Seed, Fire Polish or Bicone beads.)

    • @JillWisemanDesigns
      @JillWisemanDesigns  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Delicas (or any other cylinder shaped beads) don't look good in RAW - which is surprising! You'd think they would! But it's not as pleasing to the eye.

    You've got to change the position of your camera as when you are threading and how you do so is most times out of sight. Knowledgeable beaders can fill in the gaps but you definitely lose beginners.
