I tend to call bs on the isolation pads. I got 2 isoacustics pucks, and made sure the weight is in the parameters, and it did exactly nothing. Anyway, I do not recomend Qtest. Look at 2nd hand market and you will see tons of these in a very good condition. I got mine at 1000€ brand new, got a 1000€ PSU, isoacustic pucks, real glass fiber optic cable and it is just bad. It'd good, all reviewers are right about the sound, but it's still bad. Imagine you are in a room, and outside an exciting event had happen. Qtest is that english butler that describes the event in great detail, but in the most boring way possible. I did try it with rebel amp, with Violectric V550 pro... WA6 SE is a little better due to tube fuckery, but not, this is not a dac that you keep for long. It is a new experience for sure, but it is not something I can recommend. For the money get a soekris, WA7, ADI2-4... at least if you upgrade, you can find other uses for the unit. At some point I was blaming the amp, but if I plug in my Project S2 Pre-Box them amp let me hear exactly how harsh that dac is (for 300$ obviously is a little harsh), so it is not the amp smoothing over the texture. ps. I was mainly using Arya V2 that is not a headphone to hide details.
@@jonasDoguedeBordeaux well I would not said recommend as in "this is the dac to get for the money", I would say those units sound good, and have uses outside your hifi system. Adi 2/4 you can use for recording for example, or in PC duty and EQ your headphones. The Soekris dac is also a nice one to have on PC duty and can be nicely paired with a Rebel Amp, while WA7 can be easily moved around the house and use for example on your porch while enjoying a cigar and a coffee. At the moment for cigar and coffee I use a New iDSD becasue it can be powered from a phone power bank. 😂
Those work Okay but simple circular furniture PADs also work very well...
Isolation prevents vibration

@kurt120032002 Hi, thank you for taking the time to write your views on the quetest. I'm just reading about the dac you recommend
