How do you modernize your Jeep JL or JT interior? Then install a AuCar 13.6 Tesla Style Android 11 Radio!
This radio is the second generation of this style, the previous generation used the Android 9 where this one uses Android 11. The Android 11 gives the operation system a fresh update and the ability for more features and functionality. In this video I will be showing all the features and functionality that this Tesla style screen has to offer while highlighting both the pros and cons of the system.
This radio is a plug and play installation with a custom molded housing to give the radio a factory like fit and finish. This video also features a step-by-step process for the installation, which is very useful as the instructions that came with the product where very limited.

I don't think the 4 wheel drive pages work, I asked they customer service about that aswell and they said they are working on it.
I like the OEM air conditioner controls better..
sitting here watching this video, i JUST ordered mine, hopefully i am as impressed as you ! it looks great- do the screen dim, with the adjustable dimmer like the stock head unit?
The screen ditched from night or day, but to dim it you have to press a button on the top right of the screen or in the settings of the actual unit.
Great Video. I have this exact same unit for my 2019 JL ,but for the life of me I can not get the wireless Android Auto to work. It only works through USB. Did you have to do anything else other than connecting you phone via Bluetooth?
Do you have the android 11 version or the android 9 version? If you have the 11 you might just need to get the latest software version from them.

No unfortunately it does not support that yet, they are working on it. The feature is on the system just not linked to the jeep yet.
Great video. I have the Linkswell 4 in my JL, my biggest complaint is the boot time is at least 30 seconds. How is the boot time on this?
Usually my music from my phone is already playing by the time I put it into drive.
I like this much better than the Carobotor J max, which i was considering, since you don’t have to give up any of your air vents plus it’s a tad cheaper BUT so sad about no Apple car play, do you know if it’s compatible or if the new update includes this?
I believe this one did have apple car play, I'll have to check and confirm. I was thinking about the Carobotor one as well but yes is expensive.
Great be video! Does this upgrade have the option of screen mirroring what is playing on my Android phone to the screen of the infotainment system?
Yes I believe you can add an app to do that, you can also just connect it to the Internet (hotspot) and then do everything you do on your phone on the screen.
Looking at the AuCar website the unit shown does not show the hill descent, start stop, parking sensors, etc. as yours. It only has Max A/C, defrost etc. I wonder if those missing buttons are now accessed through the screen.
Yes, the image on their website is different than what you get. The one I showed is the one you get.

That was just the initial start up, it's pretty quick usually. I would say as fast the stock radios.
Hey bud! Great video! I placed my order they talked me into getting the android 13 instead of the 11 they said it was faster better response rate I guess. I have a jeep rubicon super excited for it. I noticed you purchase that radio cable which I did as well, but the screen protector I noticed it was a 13.3 and the screen is 13.6 and u stated u purchased a 13.6? Didn’t u mean 13.3? That’s what the link is? Does it fit okay?
I just double checked my order and it was in fact a 13.3 laptop screen protector and it fit great for me.
Would love to get this if it worked with OEM Front Cam.

I don't think I would recommend it for getting too wet.
Hello, bought this screen a few weeks back. I installed it after watching your video but Im having a problem with a low buzz/Hizz sound when I first turn the volume on when playing something i can drown it out when i turn the volume up. The question is did you have a problem like this? with your sound? if so how did you fix it?
Oh I never noticed an issue like that, when I have a chance I'll check to see if mine does it or not.
Does this have Sirius XM or do you have to download it and use it through android auto or and app with service?
I think you would have to use the app on your phone.
On the backup camera connection to the main harness, you connected Red to Red. On mine the Red on my backup camera cables is labelled AUX-V and Yellow is labelled AUX-R, on the main harness Red is labelled AUX-R so I think I should be connecting Yellow (AUX-R) on the Backup to Red (AUX-R-In) on the Harness and leaving the Red (AUX-V) from the backup disconnected. Were yours labelled that way or backwards from mine?
To be honest when I first connected those wires I started but connected color to color and then if it didn't work I started switching one of them to see if the camera would work. What I did in the video was what worked for me. Possibly your jeep might be different.

This unit might work for it, I suggest emailing their customer service. Is there special information that gets displayed on your stock radio? Because that might be the only reason this wouldn't work. Also thank you, glad you enjoyed the video .
Can you change it to a dark background? Would like it that way better for night driving
It changes to dark mode when your headlights turn on, but I also think there is a way to change it permanently. There is also a different home screen display aswell.

When I turn off and on the air conditioner, the temperature and wind direction change. Can you please tell me how to keep the previous settings intact?
I had to play with the setting for the AC mode to make sure it was on the right cars. I'll try to get details about what setting I am using.
Im going to try and reach out to the company tomorrow but have you heard if they plan to expand the unit to work with the 4xe? Would love the larger screen but don’t want to loose those power screens and the regen breaking button.

I've got a 2018 JLU with the factory 5" Uconnect Radio. Would this work in this unit? I really want to get the GPS as well.
Yeah this would work, but the unit doesn't have GPS in it..
Do all the steering wheel controls still work? Where would you get a Sim card with data for this unit?
Yeah the steering wheel buttons work and I never did the sim card.
SIRIUS XM?? How is it in Bright Sunlight (You have the top off, Sun will shine directly onto the unit) is it visible? I have an anti glare screen, still can't see it in bright sunlight.
With the matte screen protector that I have, I don't seem to have an issue.

Yeah I don't see why it wouldn't work, I believe the radio sets up for the 2018 to 2023 Wrangler JL and Gladiator JT are pretty much the same.

Nope I feel like it is the same as stock but only after I set up the audio in the correct way.

No, but I think they might have a unit for the Cherokee, check their website.

Actually I am not sure, I thought they worked up until 2023. I would email their customers service and ask. Possibly it does work it's just listed correctly.
I’ve had this for about a week now and it’s great. But only thing is my heated seats and heated steering wheel won’t turn on. I can’t seem to get in touch with support

So buddy... when you receive a phone call.... do the speakers & stock microphone work well with this or you have to use an aftermarket microphone to respond the phone calls while you are driving?
It works with the stock microphone and speakers just fine.

@@AoW7 Honestly I am not sure which connection was for the microphone, but when I connected everything shown in the video the micro phone worked without an issue.

On a Gladiator JT, do you (anyone) know if the stock front Trail Camera works? Also what about the remote unlock via the phone app?
I wasn’t sure if that feature was part of the radio or the HMI that is still in the dash somewhere…
Last question, how’s the waterproof?
Digging through forums the TrailCam might not work. Since the backup camera and the front camera signals are sent through the same wire. The module (CVPM) receives both signals and then outputs on a single cable to the Radio. The radio commands it to show one or the other and I guess by default it always shows the Backup camera unless told otherwise etc.
That sucks if it doesn't.
I know you can add cameras but not sure if it works with the stock front camera. You might need to ask the company. And I don't think this unit is waterproof.
the T-style radio put out by Linkswell has both Front and Rear camera ability.

Yes it does, because I don't have an iPhone I have never shown it. But it would work the same as the android auto, just apple carplay instead.

What about xm radio ??? Do you need a compatible cable?
I don't think there was any place to plug in the XM antenna. BUT you could easily just use the app through your phone or download the app to the system. If you add the app to the system you will need either WIFI or a sim card to get a signal for it.

Yeah I like it a lot, it has a few quirks but nothing that would prevent me from having it. I'll actually be doing another video of it at the beginning of the year because people have asked a few questions about it and want to know how it is still doing. Also the company just came out with another update for it so I will be checking that out.

I am not sure if they have a version for a JK (2014) or not. You would have to check their website.
How do you find head units IMEI #? The wireless provider is asking for one to start service.

Best option is to activate a mobile hotspot and then take the SIM card from it and put it in the head unit

Not sure if they offer that, you should reach out to their customer service team.

No they do not right now. I know they are working on it so hopefully soon.

Yes it works with the stock camera, I showed it close to the end of the video.
What about the Sirius XM component?
I am sure you could just add the SiriusXM app.
What model fits 2023 Sahara?
I am not sure, I recommend checking their website.
Can't I use the offload page feature?
No they are still working on the programming for that, hopefully in the next firmware update they will have it working.
HELP!!! I put this unit in and now my sound system sound very bad. (Cracking. Like the speaker have popped or something.) I can’t turn it up pass 19
Go to the equalizer and turn everything down. Out of the box it's turned way too high. Also there in the place in the setting that you can adjust volume for different things, like BT volume, phone, etc.

You need to go into the setting and change the AC options to configure it to another vehicle model. I can't remember what one it but I suggest trying each one and seeing which one works.

Yeah it will work with your jeep and I didn't notice anything other than the reverse camera quality that I mentioned in the video.
What about Satellite radio??
I am sure you could download an app on it, but you would need to it have data for the unit.. So the best option would be to just have it on your phone and then use it through carplay or Android Auto.
FYI - I reached out to their support and they said this new unit DOES support and have inputs (works plug in play) with the factory radio on my ‘21 Jeep Gladiator with front facing trail camera. I’m gonna give it a shot and see how it goes. 👊🏼

@@evolvedjeepinI noticed when you were installing the rear camera feed you plugged the yellow to the green and skipped the other yellow. Since AuCar tech support said it was plug and play compatible with Jeeps equipped with both the rear and front cameras, do you think the extra (yellow) connection would be utilized for that purpose? @ludicrous_danny Yes, I did order it. It’s pretty cool and definitely takes the interior tech to a new level. The wireless CarPlay has been stellar and larger display makes it that much more useful. I had to play around with the see rings to tweak everything and get it set up the way I wanted. However, it’s not perfect… I discovered after receiving it that it does NOT work with the OEM jeep front trail cam. So, I’ve had to give that up. The backup camera is a little bit “grainy” compared to the oem cam but still ok. It was easy to install as the original post described. If/when I get ready to sell I’ll just offer to reinstall the original if they don’t want this unit.
Does it have options for heated heats n heated steering
Check out around 15:40, I go over all the climate control. The heated seats and wheel both work fine when the car is on, in the video I just showed the buttons.

Did you lose “off road” apps or something? Aucar is saying it wont interface with the “off road” stuff. I dont think there is anything on the head unit that is off road related.

Horrible picture quality, i would be disappointed. The stinger is way better with blind spot amd front IR cameras
