Awesome video! Love this headunit Really wanting to get one of these for my 21 gladiator sport. Do y’all have a full install video on a gladiator that doesn’t have the extra alpine stuff this one does? Seems like quite the job to take on for a diy person.

Will this retain function to program factory aux switches? As in to set as momentary, or allow a switch to be used while vehicle is on or not?

I have the gen 5 radio installed in my jeep. I have a iPhone that has a mobile hotspot but can’t seem to get it to show up under the wifi. The wifi does work and picks up other wifi signals within homes/building but not my phones.
It is a setting in your phone, you may need to make your network public for the radio to see it
How much for install?
Does the controls on the steering wheel work with it. Meaning, change stations and control the volume. Does it have the offroad settings that the jeep one has
Yes all factory steering wheel controls are maintained and factory options can be changed in the radio
would the cold weather package work with this unit? in the factory uconnect system there is a function for cold weather start option

My 2022 Wrangler did not come with XM satellite. I went on your website and found a dealer in Michigan and they told me that this unit does not support XM Satellite Radio and dont want to put this in. May i please get a little info on if this person is right. Also since my Jeep did not come with XM. Do you all sell a kit to install that or do i just need to buy that from Mopar? The gen V version of this radio has Sirius xm capability but is waiting on a software update to be active. The alpine restyle has Sirius xm and is a great option as well
But how does the radio sound? It looks a little gimmick/busy. I like the factory 8.4, but the sound is a little muddy or bass heavy, especially with HD radio, even with after market mid/tweets. I’d like to see a unconnect upgrade from the 3 band eq to more bands or something more customizable.
I have built several amplified systems that sounded great using this radio but I have also done the same using the stock radio. Quality of equipment and choosing the correct equipment is crucial to end result
Does the AC plug go directly into the radio or is there a harness for it? Also does my aftermarket camera get plugged into a harness for the power supply or do I still need to power it via my start button
When purchased we send a full install instruction manual that answers these questions, it has a harness that the hvac plugs into

If I have manual temperature controls will this stereo enable me to have electronic temp controls? It may sound like a stupid question, but I’m not sure if the wiring is hidden behind there somewhere.
It is still electronic even when manual so it will still work

I have Rubicon 392 with "quiet mode" button vs auto stop start. Do I lose that functionality as there is no "quiet button" or does the stop start become the "quiet button?"
This radio does not have a quiet button and I have not tested in a 392 to see if it is an option in the radio screen
How do I get the CarPlay to work you didn’t show how to set it up? I can’t use CarPlay…
Plug your phone cord into the usb for CarPlay, I think it is labeled phone link

No, the alpine restyle are water resistant like factory
Definitely a good looking radio, but because the media hub in the Jeep is totally useless now, I personally wouldn't buy it, the insane audio unit I had used the media hub, not sure why these people couldn't do the same. It's a no go for me. Good video though
This video was the 4th gen, the radio now shipping is the 5th gen and retains the factory usb hub and added wireless CarPlay and wireless android auto, the insane audio unit fails within a year

@@williamh6547 we just worked the Jeep invasion in pigeon forge for 3 days, we sell alpine, stinger and Linkswell radios, over and over people walked into our booth wanting a jk radio because their insane audio radio had failed
@@volunteeraudio oh wow, I mean I will admit that hooking the insane audio up to the factory speakers does not sound the best, it's a solid state unit, only so much it can realistically do, I've got mine hooked up to external amps, and different speakers ,I still had to put a sound processor in line to get what I conciser good sound. Thanks for the feedback, I will definitely check out the new gen though when my new jeep comes in 👍👍

Do you need to install mic and gps under the dash?
We install the mic by the mirror and gps on the roll bar in most installs

If the jeep has a microphone why do you have to add a new one. Why won't it just work with the OEM Microphone?
Because the factory mic is not calibrated for the aftermarket radio

Pitch/Roll , guardian remote start , sos/Wi-Fi
@@doyzkie88 it will give you ability to set all factory features, for example heated seats turn on with stock remote start, when removing the stock radio you lose Uconnect including internet service, the radio shows pitch and roll but no accurate, the alpine restyle maintains all factory screens and options but still loses Uconnect Wi-Fi

I still don't see these Chinese radios and they are all the same utilize option for Sat. The Heigh10 does.

No it comes with its own usb for CarPlay / android auto, the factory media port runs through a hub, no aftermarket radio keeps it
