The instrument is a en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chemnitzer_concertina. 16 Horsepower was a band from Denver (CO), and quite popular in the European alternative music scene around the turn of the millennium. The band stopped in 2005, after which the front man (David Eugene Edwards) started a new band called 'Wovenhand'. Also worth checking out!
Some say they were a Christian band or rather the singer David Eugene Edwards was/is, they certainly used a lot of Biblical scripture in their songs and as Christian myself i do approve of this band and find nothing blasphemous about them, if you havent already check out "Brimstone Rock"
Great band. Glad I was able to see them live once. They have many great songs.
This is music I like. It was mesmerizing. Thanks for the reaction and thanks to the requester.
I didn't realize he played the accordion And sang it. I pictured a band member playing it but dang! As a musician, that is impressive

Haunting love this, band
Great band, ahead of their time.
it's not an accordion, it's a bandoneon.... also that sound is often described as the "Denver" sound
Fantastic band - one of my old favourites! And I saw them live in Stockholm!!! 🇸🇪🇸🇪🇸🇪🇸🇪🇸🇪🥰🥰🥰🥰
One of my favorite american bands. Never seen them do :(
I liked this music very much. It's special with the accordion. 👍
