Takumi has something that no one else has. Plot armor. His character should have lost several times and only come back stronger; thus making him a better character.
There are 5 races where Takumi were supposed to lose. - Emperor Boss - Akagi Race (Unfair race) - EK9 Racer (If Tak didnt use the turn off lights) - S200 old dude (If hes younger) - Shinji final race (If Tak AE86 didnt blow) - Bonus: If Takumi drives again at Akina and Bunta saw him, he would lose again twice.
Both, this and the Todo School EK9 (the blind attack episode) are the ways of the author to tell us: Takumi actually loses this race, but I'm not willing to write him handling defeat.
This race here and the EK9 are some of the biggest asspulls in history. The SW20 win I'll take cause leaves are no joke, it's a plot pull but it's passable. But the fucking squirrel and the damn near heat stroke win are insane.

technically speaking, He did lost to his father...
I just can’t believe he somehow fucking accepted that as a win.
If they just made tak a gary stu (male version of mary sue if u don't know it, basically made tak OP af) i think nobody will have problem with that, just have him blind attack and ditch overtake everyone all the way to undefeated end, nobody will complain. But instead they give us BS like sudo don't consider this a race, ryosuke race in akagi is "not counted", bird attack todo school ace, god hand puking, shinji surprise at tak's engine blow up. It frustrating
They should have put this up as a tie, not a win.
Neither of them could finish the race and it would not diminish Takumis reputation in the slightest, or be an inappropriate conclusion.
If the win against Kyoichi was a tie, then how was this a win…
It’s a tie, and it would have made more sense to call it that in the show…
He was so much better than takumi but then the plot armour came in as always
The S2K should have won this one, same reaction
This is GOLD!!!! Hahahahahahahaha. My exact reaction at that battle. 🤣🤣🤣
I swear there is some plots in Initial d that is literally like a game cheat that always make the main character win
cant believe that takumi didnt think about using less steering like in the duct tape deathmatch.
"cant believe that takumi didnt think about using less steering like in the duct tape deathmatch"
He never actually stopped doing that after that race.
Ryousuke even comments on it during their first race.
@@SidewaysGts u can see him countersteering a lot more
@@reclaimer0018 "u can see him countersteering a lot more"
Of course- Its also a cartoon. Chop this up to animation "error" and animator flair to look more visually appealing. Theyve pointed out that he continues to steer with less input and relies more on weight shifting.
And this is why everybody wants to be Kyoichi
I was so desensitized to his luck winning his races that I completely overlooked what happened at this race.
simply the VTM nitro detonated at the worst possible time
Even KSI is disappointed with the extreme plot armor
he did technically lose the race, but the incident stopped it before they could actually finish
Races that Takumi won in BS: 1. AE86 vs FC3S Akina (Tire pressure and gutter run); 2. AE86 vs EVO4 Akina (Simulation 3 become Simulation 1 and gutter run) ; 3. AE86 Trueno vs AE86 Levin Turbo (Side curb jump); 4. AE86 vs EVO3 Irohazaka (Powerover); 5.AE86 vs EK9 (Bird flying out); 6. AE86 vs God Hand S2000 (Vomit); 7. AE86 vs AE86 Sedan (Engine 101 Blown)
Bro maxed out Luck stats 10/10
I love Initial D and it'll always hold a place in my heart, but man that plot armour is wack
Bro I literally jumped out of the bed WHEN GOD'S HAND LOSES TO TAKUMI BECAUSE OF HIS INSANE PLOT ARMOUR
The plot armor is thicker than Gorlock the destroyer 😂
that's racing, everything is a part of it.
Plot armour
This is how it is in real life in everything. The winner is good but also very lucky.
Remember in race not only skill luck also matters
Sometimes too much power isn’t enough. All it takes is good karma.
If god hand is a god tummy. Surely he can drive wreckless like roller coaster without puke. 😂
- What's causing teh gap? oO
Rubberbanding bro! oO
The only actual Takumi lost races are all the not actual race/testing the race like Bunta vs Takumi or the first race test against the Evo 3
Takumi is a true racer he knew Toshiya won he out drove him doesnt matter if he did come across the finish line first due the Dr. having to stop.
this is gold, very good videomaking
They actually straight up cut this ending from Battle Stage 2 lol, the race just ends after Takumi's overtake
I've watched the whole series takumi just always gets lucky specially the last race with young boi also on 86
Takumi has something that no one else has. Plot armor.
His character should have lost several times and only come back stronger; thus making him a better character.
That fan wanted Takumi to lose this time since he kept winning
This scene pissed me off they doing my boy god hand so dirty 😔
Given the plot armor he have, even Lewis Hamilton or Michael Schumacher can't win against him
Not if Micheal Masi has anything to say about it.
@@saibattu7745 it'll be an intense battle between him and Takumi's plot armor
Sad piano music is playing for God Arm, this a genuine Greek tragedy for him
If the big kids and adults can't handle much longer to drifting for long period racing. Sometimes, it happens to everyone who goes into trouble.
just puke out of the window and keep running bruh
I hate this race just because of the ending. I mean, HE DIDN’T EVEN THROUGH UP IN THE END WTF!
god hand the most intimidating rival in initial much more intimidating than that little turn in the end that copys takumis car
There are 5 races where Takumi were supposed to lose.
- Emperor Boss - Akagi Race (Unfair race)
- EK9 Racer (If Tak didnt use the turn off lights)
- S200 old dude (If hes younger)
- Shinji final race (If Tak AE86 didnt blow)
- Bonus: If Takumi drives again at Akina and Bunta saw him, he would lose again twice.
EK9 Racer (If The racoon didn't cross the road)
i agree except the evo 3 and shinji race.
plot armor at its finest
he was so close to being beaten into a race
Both, this and the Todo School EK9 (the blind attack episode) are the ways of the author to tell us: Takumi actually loses this race, but I'm not willing to write him handling defeat.
Someone:*Prays him to win*
God:we don't do that here.
Takumi is like: uhm ok? I will just go past him I guess
This race here and the EK9 are some of the biggest asspulls in history. The SW20 win I'll take cause leaves are no joke, it's a plot pull but it's passable. But the fucking squirrel and the damn near heat stroke win are insane.
これは最高ですし、好きですし、頭文字Dのキャラクターも最高ですし、好きです。
This is what happens when the goal of Project Dream is being undefeated. Plot moment lel.
Yea that was one of initial d's weird moments. I remember seeing that episode like ok that was dumb.
Takumi has unofficially lost 2 races in the series
