Very impressed with the work you put into researching and editing these videos. So many other channels just dump a bodycam video with very little other information and tons of dead air.
Please keep doing what you're doing! You are the gold standard of these type of videos.

Thank you so much for all the hard work you do on each and every video. Thank you for spending the money on the research and on the body cams. I know everything that comes out of this channel is originality and I appreciate the officers And I also appreciate your hard work. This channel helps people understand what officers have to deal with on a day-to-day basis and sometimes it's aggression, violence, attended murder... Etc... Yet people still want to defund the police. For those who want to defund the police instead of calling a cop when they get robbed they can call a crackhead, see how that works out, You know data and all😂 🤷🏼‍♀️

But even all the money couldn't avoid the convictiuon for battery. And because the cops treated all the old folks with courtesy, the old man couldn't spin any body cam footage for leverage.

    • @LuMaxQFPV
      @LuMaxQFPV 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +28

I encountered a work crew on a blind hairpin curve, that had only set up "construction ahead" signs a hundred feet away. This was useless, and with a speed limit of 45, did not provide enough mental warning for drivers. Once the work started, to make it worse, there began to be a line of vehicles fully stopped, the last one being literally 1/4 second of visibility, before impacting it. It was SO dangerous. I almost hit the lady last in line. Because of this, I then put on my warning flashers, and backed up to where I could be seen with flashers on, blocking the lane.. my hope was that I could prevent a literal high speed crash and likely fatal event. It was a hillside with a cliff on the other side of the road. I was able to prevent SEVERAL cars driving 55mph from hitting that line of cars. I prevented tragedy. Once they let the line go through, and I was able to get to the area where they were working, I shared the experience and facts with the guy holding the flag.
I told him that they needed to place signs, or flaggers further back if they stop traffic again, because they had created a high-speed accident trap.
You know what the guy did? He had this smug smile on his face while I was talking.. .waited till I was done, and said "Have a nice day, sir".
I asked if his supervisor was near, he said no. And as I drove away, he effing flipped me off.
I called the company, took a few days to get ahold of someone with authority. I emailed him a google sat view of how they had their 'work' area set up, signage, etc.
The guy apologized and a couple weeks later emailed that they had sat that crew down and had a meeting. 2 of the people at the work area, including smart-ass finger man, were terminated. I had gotten video of the interaction, and pics of the signage, coupled with the layout of the bend from Google. The supervisor thanked me for preventing tragedy.
So, when I see these guys and gals directing traffic NOW, I know that some of them are VERIFIABLE A$$HATS. That's reality.
I think the guy in this story was 1/2 to blame. I GUARANTEE you, he gets a kick out of being dramatic with *some of the people who roll into his domain, and I think he did that here. So that entitlement you mention is not from one side.

As a TC supervisor I can give an unbiased view. I witnessed many times where motorists will be impatient with the flaggers, and even run the stop paddles or show aggressive behavior by revving their engine or yelling to the flagger that they "just need to go right there". If it's a flagging op and they're stopping your vehicle, it's because it's a one-lane only situation and chances are there are vehicles already coming towards you. We try to cycle traffic to within a reasonable time so that you're not held up, and yet again people are impatient and will drive past our flaggers only to be met with oncoming traffic. Of course the screws up everybody else's time.
Conversely, I've also witnessed flaggers become aggressive towards drivers and standing out in front of moving vehicles. And that's never a good idea.
Drive safe everyone and please be respectful of the construction zone.

I worked as an engineer for the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) for over 30 years and have seen many irate motorists being slowed in our workzones. As a motorist myself, I've also been "inconvenienced" by these delays. Generally, as long as there's proper advance warnings of the delay, (construction signs and changeable message signs, most motorist are OK with the necessary road work. The flaggers are out there to make sure the motorists, the construction workers, and the inspectors are safe. In the past few decades or so, there were so many incidents, that we moved a lot of our work to night work to lessen the impact during the high traffic volumes during the day. Also, on large projects, we have help from the CHP (California Highway Patrol) to slow down traffic in our workzones. Unfortunately, there are still many construction workers and Caltrans employees who are killed or injured by motorists.

For example there are approx. 3 million square miles in Australia with only 26 million people. In LA County, there are 9.7 million people in only 502 square miles. So, Los Angeles is packed pretty dense compared to Australia. Americans are also a little more rowdy than Australians, I'm sure. Australians have given most of their gun rights. Los Angeles also has a lot of immigrants, I'm sure way more than Australia. Everyone wants to come here. The state itself is the richest state in the entire U.S. It is also the second most desired city in the entire United States. @@baltimoreluke yikes. No. That's not even remotely true. Considering the value of those people are determined by the contract that they sign with a client.
That has literally no value to the world, none.
The people that ARE valuable, are people like the person directing traffic, making sure everyone drives safely and efficiently. A person working an ATC tower, a firefighter, or an EMT would also hold real world value. A doctor does very little to serve people, they get rare moments where they do and only for every few specific doctors.
Engineers serve no purpose or value in this world, they follow regulation and math. I should know, I have my masters in structural engineering. Engineers are easily replaced by pieces of paper printed out by a computer. Designers/architects are different, they have to understand the math and use new concepts to break ground. Which almost never happens.
Kid, reality is very different for you, I suggest you stay in school so that you can soon figure that out. Real value lies in people that can actually contribute to communities and society. Doctors and engineers might be two of the worst examples, lol.
Also, an influencer does have more value, it's why they often are so valuable in society, why companies pay them millions to make content, and why they can influence entire generations to change how retail works, and popularize products.
I don't believe these people are a net positive, but they absolutely have massive value to society, more so than any doctor or engineer on this planet ever has in history.
