      Any chance you bought the Qure one? I just got mine and in the booklet there is a chart called “Fitzpatrick” it says if you fall in the V or VI skin tone category you can’t use it. Just wondering if it’s working if you’ve tried it.

    I have a red light panel. I started out wanting a mask to increase collagen production and get smoother skin on my face and neck, but when I read about the general health benefits of red and near infrared light, I splurged on a big panel. I'm enjoying the results: better skin, better sleep and a whole lot more.

    It made my daughter's skin have hyper pigmentation show up more. Shes very upset. Company said it will fade but a side effect with some darker complexions. I'm glad you didn't have issues. They said the blue light is more the culprit.

    • @KrysBrown89
      @KrysBrown89 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Yes, blue light is to be avoided when you get hyperpigmentation. Hoping it fades quickly for your daughter! ❤

    • @JoyAgingYouthfully
      @JoyAgingYouthfully 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Here is an excerpt from research of blue light on darker skin: Duteil et al. analyzed the influence of blue (λ = 415 nm) and red light (λ = 630 nm) on the increase in pigmentation in vivo and found correlation with blue light spectrum in patients with III and IV skin phototype. Moreover, the hyperpigmentation persisted during the 3-month follow-up and was more intense compared to patients exposed to UVB

      I hope it eventually fades, she has makeup now that helps. I found a derm who has darker skin herself and deals with things relating to that, so maybe an appt in the future is good also for all around ideas and help with acne

      Yesss, red light therapy worsened the melasma on my face, and darkened my body. My neighbor hadn’t seen me in months and had to comment “girl, you’ve been out in the sun a lot”. I had NOT been out in the sun at all!!! At all! And have been covered up in long sleeves and long pants when I do go out to run errands. The only thing I’d been doing is red light sauna therapy daily. I stopped all exposure to red light therapy and skin color on my body returned to normal, but melasma stain on my face remained, though not as prominent as when I was under red light 20 minutes each day. My caramel brown skin had the appearance of being scorched in patches as if I ran through a housefire and sustained uneven burns.

    I recently got the Qure mask and it appears to not be for brown, medium brown and dark brown skin. In the manual on page 18, it advised people that are V (brown and medium brown skin and VI (black very dark brown to black on the Fitzpatrick scale should not use this product.

    • @beautyofgrowth
      @beautyofgrowth  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      That’s so strange because if you look at their IG they advertise people with dark skin using the mask. I would say do your own research but my understanding is that the blue light is not recommended for people with dark skin, however the red light is safe for all

      @@beautyofgrowth Thanks so much for responding. You were one of the main reasons I purchased the Qure. I found your review on TH-cam and I decided to pull the plug and get it. It was around the holidays and of course they had a sale. Therefore imagine the confusion and disappointment I felt when I saw that Fitzpatrick scale, but now seeing your response I’ll just keep it and of course only use the red light. Thanks again!

    Has anyone experienced lightning of the skin or vitiligo like patches after using their mask? I had a light patch the size of a small button on my forehead before starting to use the mask. Days after starting use, I began to see patches appearing on my cheeks and chin.
    I have an appt next week with a dermatologist but wanted to see if what’s happening to me could possibly be related to the mask. I’m just a shade lighter than the reviewer.
