    Mobile gaming is becoming more and more popular as of late with devices from Steam, MSI, ASUS and many more but now Antec think they have something even better with the Core HS, but can it keep up considering its lower price point?

    you guys know that in monster hunter world there's an option by default to bind items and actions to a on screen selection wheel that actually allows you to avoid using de dpad all the time? it's a combination of one of the shoulder buttons and the right stick. can become handy in most situations

    Would love some performance charts, 3dmark etc vs steamdeck and rog ally, legion go etc. But other then that, awesome video :) thanks. Will buy for the kids if the performance is as good as the rest :)

    would have loved to see a size comparison between the antec and the steamdeck.

    I gotta say that the 60Hz native screen is a kick in the nuts to the device. It certainly does save on battery life. But if that is your concern then the Legion Go and the ROG Ally can both be put into 60Hz mode to get the same effect. But having the option of higher refresh rate for less demanding games I think is a good thing. I ended up getting myself a Legion Go half a year ago. So I'm really not the target audience as I have already gone with a competing device instead. And where that device is hampered by the screen lacking VRR at least the screen does look awesome. Especially for games old enough that you can run them at native res... Which I would say is true for a surprisingly large amount of games. The option of having a keyboard under the screen on the Core HS I do find attractive when simply using it for browsing the web. But I wouldn't say this device is filling me with buyer's remorse...

    ? You can use the Dpad to navigate items in Monster Hunter? I've always used the face buttons, Ever since MH3U.

    BG3 Act 3 will be the selling point for me if it provides better performance than the SD, I adore my steam deck and would never get rid of it, but I also wouldn't mind a second handheld just for smoother performance on more graphically demanding games with busy environments, just praying on Valve announcing SD2.

    Steam Deck still can't be ordered in Australia, let alone Steam Deck OLED. If you can get it from another importer, it's a minimum of $200-300 mark up. Grey import? No thanks, Valve won't recognise the warranty.

    None of these devices are a Steam Deck killer, because what they all miss is that the overall experience in a handheld is far more important than having the biggest numbers on the spec sheet. The only number that really matters in a handheld is the battery life and nothing can touch the Steam Deck in this reguard, although this is admittedly better than the paltry hour or so that the Ally and Legion Go give you.

      I played Elden Ring and several times it kicked me out of the game. So i don't know what you are talking about. I'm quite disappointed with the steam deck.

    You have to be patient & have an understanding of windows b/c Aya Neo tech is a little janky but I like Aya Neo tech & I can figure how to work it & maintain it. The average gamer…. Prolly not. The Legion Go & Roq Alley are more dependable for the less inclined so stick with that if you are not a tinkerer. But if you are the type of person who like to tinker like these tech guys with TH-cam channels even if you don’t have a TH-cam channel & you like doing it just for the heck of it there is definitely under appreciated value to Aya Neo tech. There is some innovative even if rough around the edges stuff. I would not recommend the steam deck regardless b/c you are shooting yoursekd in the foot not to be using lossless scaling which is windows only

    I understand its best for handheld games and easy games, im just wondering can you play PC games like DOTA 2, COD, Cyberpunk 2077 or even halo? Would it lag or can perform but with low settings so it wont overheat and lag???

    • @rizaadon
      @rizaadon หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Considering Apex and Forza perform well I don't see any reason why the games you mentioned wouldn't work.

    Ya, unless these companies can figure out that higher fps doesnt translate to a good handheld experience, steam deck is king. I got an ROG Ally, tried it out, and hated it. It was just so clunky navigating windows in a form that it clearly wasnt designed for. Months later, I got the Steam Deck and now I can hardly put it down. I have a 4090. OLED ultrawide monitor. The handheld experience is just so good that I honestly wouldn't mind gaming on just that.

      You pay a premium for a niche product, pack in the fact that it's technically a handheld laptop with a full on laptop chip running full Windows. It's actually really cheap compared to the competition. Most GPD devices cost nearly double
