It's getting to the point where them bringing back 1-2 of their most popular old cases back and marketing it as a retro case might be commercially viable. Give it a few more years.

The Antec Nine Hundred was my first "cool" PC case after years of beige boxes in the 90s and early 2000s. It really did change the game. I had so many boring cases with one or two tiny 80-90mm fans. Then with SLI and multi core CPUs starting to take off in the mid 2000s, the case cooling started to really matter. Once I finally went from just a box to the 900, it was like night and day difference.

Antec wasn't my first case, but at about 20 years, it's certainly the one I had the longest. Not happy when it was stolen. Full height Extended-ATX tower with six quickly removable internal vibration-dampening hard drive mounts, six external 5¼ bays, lots of fans that were well-positioned, and the power supply mount accommodated both ATX and workstation sizes. Adjustable feet for stability, too. I think it cost about $300 in 1998. I love their diagnostic tool for power supplies, recommended.

Not only did Antec make extremely well built cases (the Sonata was a real show piece with a paint job better than you'd find on a modern car), they made some of the best power supplies on the market. IMO, during this time period, the only power supplies that were arguably better than Antec's were PC Power & Cooling units.
After many years of service, my Antec power supply was taken out of use due to the fact that I outgrew it, not because it failed. So glad to see Antec making a comeback. If they still have the same commitment toward quality and customer service, they'll have my business back for sure.

To Steve and the rest of the Gamers Nexus crew, thank y’all for all the hard work and information you put out for us.
I bought the ANTEC PF1 two months ago as a part of my first pc build, former laptop user, partly based on what y’all’s review of it. As a newbie builder I wanted something easy to work with and the temp display and interior space drew me to make that choice. Temp display is aight.
I like the aquarium look but dudes something about a front to back case has always made me want one.
I love it and I have become more comfortable working inside it as the weeks have passed. I maxed out the fans, LFIII with three fans in exhaust on top, three on the shroud as intake/recirculating, three on the front as intake and one in the rear as exhaust and haven’t tried other configurations since it keeps my gpu well below 75C during most games I play. Usually less than 70C. Also I was a little hesitant initially to start fucking shit up since it worked.
I will be tinkering when I get back home with the fan setup to see if anything changes, just for the fun of it. Yes that’s confidence right there.
I know y’all are busy with all the ASUS bull recently, but I really appreciate the content and the help during my decision making process.

I still have my Antec P182, sporting a E8600 system. Retro at its finest. :)
Very excited they're back on the case market. I really liked their classic stuff, particularly the P-series as mentioned and of course the legendary 900 and 1200.

Good to see Antec back on cases. I recently un-retired my Super LANboy. Swapped out the fans it came with and slotted in some Noctuas. Wired up the front panel audio incorrectly (mic/phones swapped) but it isn’t a big enough deal for me to fix it. I was using a massive Coolermaster (Centurion perhaps). The Super LANboy wasn’t my first case, but might have been my first ATX case (I’m that old!).

I remember my first PC my dad built for me was in an antec, antec psu too I think, the PSU eventually gave out (was only a bronze) but the case never had any issues including fans, i/o, cd disk port, etc
Glad they're making a comeback, if they make some modern retro cases I'd 100% buy one to make my old man a PC, he still talks about how great antec cases were every time we chat about cases

I'm still using that Antec 900 to this day and even all the original included fans still works running 24/7 as my camera surveillance system. Cut a hole in the backside for CPU bracket access and painted the inside black and a few other little mods/tweaks. Had many other PCs and cases since but I'll never get rid of that one even if it's not my main PC case anymore.

It's seen 4 MOBO and CPU swaps so far. The only thing I've done is modded an acrylic side panel on, added a sensor panel, and added LED lighting strips.
And because this was one of the earliest cases that came with a painted black interior, the case still looks modern today.

My Antec 900 is a little awkward for some modern components (like some AIO coolers), but even now it still is mostly-useful! It's currently still housing my main file-server for my homelab because it has such an amazing amount of disk slots and fan ports on it. It has an E-ATX motherboard in it for a slightly-dated 'dual CPU Xeon' setup, and I remain quite pleased with that case. I've lost a few drive rails for their bays, but not so many that I'm sad about it! If I were sad about it, I bet I could buy some off of EBay or something anyway.
So, I am definitely pleased to hear that Antec is back, and apparently NOT-sucking at making cases. It's apparently hard to not be awful at it! Even Dell seems to have a huge problem (Hello, "Alienware at 100C from the factory" airflow!) with designing cases that can usefully cool their gear, so a competent maker returning to the field is a very nice thing for me.

Antec! From the time I started getting enough disposable income to ever consider putting together my computer from scratch.
Don't get me wrong it was not my first choice I really wanted a Chieftec Dragon or the identical twin from Antec, but the fact that they made good quality PSUs steered me towards Antec but ended up getting a different tower from them, drilled 2x 120mm holes, cut all the stock fan grills and put together my Athlon Thunderbird monster machine from my dreams!
Hope they can pull it together!

Woo woo glad to see Antec back. I used their Sonata case so many times for family computers! I loved their "vibe" during the Chieftec Dragon days. I won a drawing from HardOCP on a P183 and a HCP 1000w Delta made plat over 10 years ago. I guess it's been a while now, but the most recent product I've used from them was the VP450. Great powersupply, I have a handful of them being moved system to system, great pairing with the SG13.

Antec 900 was my first build. I remember in 2012 they were already saying that some of its features were lacking but the design appealed to me, and the all-steel mesh was a dusty nightmare but beyond that it kept my system chilly. Used the case for eight years before finally upgrading to an AM4 platform and doing a whole new build, which I went with Corsair for. But now, it seems like Antec and Corsair have switched positions, where Antec is aggressively innovating and Corsair has become complacent with their product design. Anyway, beyond the case itself, Antec's customer support left an impression on me for being pleasant and responsive, more like dealing with a small business than a faceless corporation. I'm glad to see them making waves again!
