When people think of “Celtic” culture they mainly think of Ireland, maybe Scotland as well. Few know that the Celts left their heritage in Germany (and all over Europe) too. While Northern Germany was inhabited by Germanic tribes, the south was inhabited by Celtic tribes. Because in modern English Germany is linked to its Germanic heritage only, few people know about their true roots. I’m a prod Celt from the Celtic lands of Southern Germany. All maybe hundreds of songs and instruments are played and arranged by myself.My teacher was my inspiration, my muse and the time to let me in to the sound of this instruments.My son learns by the same teacher.When you open your mind and your confidence to yourself, it comes your own sound out of this. I use to play the piano as a hobby and I Iove creating melodies, but I need a more relaxing and portable instrument, and I think lyre is a perfect one. Also I'm 15 so it's difficult for me to find people to share my tastes, but this song was a great inspiration for me, and a reminder that there exist young people that like good things :) Oh, and sorry for my bad English!

I like the sound of the instrument; it makes me think of a cross between a traditional harp and a hammer dulcimer, both of which instruments' sounds I like a great deal.
