Brock is bending over backwards for KDB. He did NOT do this "for his staff." His staff would be have been more than fine at UW. He did it for himself, period. I'm sure he got good deals for those he will take with him, but make no mistake, his No 1 consideration was his own ambition.

Cancel the order for the Coach Deboer statue out in front of Husky Stadium. I think the guy is a disloyal back stabber who just screwed the school who gave him his big shot as a head coach. He may not know this but he wouldn’t be going to Alabama were it not for Michael Penix being his QB the past 2 years. I’m angry that Alabama can just glide into their new coaching era without so much as losing a scholarship while Washington is losing current players to the NFL and now to the transfer portal. A lot of our recruits are going to de-commit and the program will finish in the lower half of the Big 10 for the foreseeable future. Thanks for nothing Deboer!

Only reason Lanning turned them down was he promised his wife he would not move again with their kids being so young. DeBoer is excellent but a little surprised they went outside the the Bama family. DeBoer would be stupid if he got rid of that Alabama staff, especially in regards to recruiting and defense. Alabama chews and spits out reasonable coaches. He better win the championship in 2 years, or the Alabama Exs will run him away on a rail. Alabama and MIke Price.
Price may be best known nationally for an off-the-field incident during his brief stint at Alabama. In December 2002, he was hired in principle to replace Dennis Franchione as the head coach of the Crimson Tide. Price was at Alabama during the 2003 spring practice, but in May his contract was rescinded shortly after news reports surfaced of Price being seen at a strip club during a trip to Pensacola, Florida, where Price was playing in a golf tournament, and he also had about $1,000 charged to his hotel room by an unknown woman staying in the room. This development came on the heels of an earlier reprimand for visiting campus-area bars and drinking into the early hours in Tuscaloosa.[10][11]

If the Ducks executed versus the Huskies this wouldn't be happening, I think everyone in the pac 12 who barely lost to the dogs thought they were meh/lucky, which I bet you thought as well, but if everyone thinks that, is it really coaching genius the huskies are losing?

Not really. If you watch both games, Oregon moved the ball at will and had more yards. Credit to where credit is due, UW played good defense and stopped Oregon when it mattered.
The biggest reason, and the only reason why UW beat UO is Penix. The Ducks weakest group is their DB’s. They’re not bad, but they’re not good enough to stop Penix and that terrific group of receivers. Penix was on fire for both games against Oregon. He couldn’t miss. Oregons DB’s couldn’t stop the passing attack of UW. UW isa bad matchup for the Ducks. Oregon walloped everyone else, but the passing of Penix exposed Oregons biggest weakness.
DeBoer is a great coach, his history has proven that. With that said, remove Penix, do you really think UW comes close to beating Oregon? Probably not. Remove Penix and UW is a .500 team.
