So I was getting a little fed up with my crunchy knees after ACL surgery, so I decided to start the Knees Over Toes Guy program (Knee Ability Zero).
I'm about 21 months post-op from my ACL reconstruction in May of 2020, and I've noticed that my knee still isn't quite where I want it to be. It still buckles back from time to time and feels a little "pinchy" at various moments, so I just wanted to be proactive and start a program to really make sure my knees are bulletproof for life so I can keep playing volleyball and doing other sports that I love.
I plan to keep making videos as I progress through the program to let you know how or if it has been helping my knees since my ACL surgery.

I had a catastrophic parachute landing injury in 2012. Broke my neck, back, collarbones and lost mobility from head to toe. I developed my own rehab system using loaded stretches, knees over toes training, and calisthenics. Ended up being stronger than before the accident and finished another 9 years of service without even getting on profile! Cool to see this kind of program went mainstream.

I just turned 65 and last summer my left knee buckled, dislocated tore the meniscus and I'm told the pull on the meniscus cracked the tibia. Hurt like crazy. Took about 4 months before it stopped hurting 24/7. During the time i guess i favored my right leg because i seriously worried my left knee would buckle again.
That's probably why about 5 months after the original injury my right knee buckled. But near as severely but i still have pain in that knee. I don't go out now without some kind of knee support on because i fear a repeat. But i also found the knees over toes guy and am determined to build my knees back up so i can stop worrying about it and get back to being pretty fit for an old guy.

I am 54 and recently tore the ACL in my "good" knee skiing. I had ACL surgery on left knee 24 years ago. When I had my first ACL rupture the pain was incredible! I remember the recovery process took a full year. I really didn't have that much pain this time which was so weird so I was convinced I didn't tear it. Not even any swelling. Well I did rupture it and now I am facing the prospect of having another ACL surgery and frankly I can't even comprehend it! I found your page after someone recommended the toes over knee guy for rehab. If I can strengthen my knees through this program I might not do the ACL repair. ACL injuries are such a long recovery process, not to mention you can develop osteo arthritis from the trauma of the injury and the surgery. I am excited to try the program and see if I can improve my knee health. Good luck to you!

I did have to have scope surgery to “clean my knee out’’ I am now in a aggressive Therapy program. 6 weeks post op and Started therapy 3 1/2 weeks ago. If my knee still feels unstable 3 to 6 months from now I will go in for reconstructive surgery. I’ve only had one instability issue and that was a hyper extensive issue which was pretty scary.

I had virtually no mobility in my hips and back. I started doing his workouts in late June of 2021 and one year later I am dunking a basketball again, wake up pain free and can play with my kids without having to take a break to stretch. I turn 39 soon, but I can keep up with the 20 year olds on the court. Ben Patrick’s philosophy and workouts work!

Has anyone done this looking for better flexion? I'm 26 and I had ACL surgery about 11 months ago and have failed to get my knee flexion back :/ I don't have much pain, my biggest concern is being able to fully flex my knee again. Has anyone been able to receive this benefit from this program? It's negatively effecting my life in such big and unexpected ways and it's SO upsetting. I can't properly squat to lift anything, I'm scared to do anything that might cause me to fall and bend my leg too much like hiking, sledding, rough housing, walking through the mud even. If I had to jump from a window to save my life I couldn't do it without reinjuring my leg and that as weird as that sounds it's upsetting to think I'm not even capable of basic physical survival needs at the age of 26 just because my knee won't bend and it makes me so mad to think about...has anyone noticed better flexion from any of his programs? Is 11 months post op too late to regain flexion?

I signed up yesterday and did the first "Zero" workout. I'm 48 with relatively good knees, but I've got a little patello-femoral pain on the left side from Jiu Jitsu. I'm a short, thick guy (5'7", 230 lbs, with about 14% body fat) so I'm not really built for what I affectionately call "skinny bitch" moves.
I tweaked my knee trying to develop my wrestling step-through (some call it the "wrestler's shot") and my knees just DO NOT like it. My hips are wide and very open and the internal rotation doesn't agree with me at all.
So, I'm diving headlong into this. Yesterday's first workout felt REALLY good. I could feel lots of small muscles engaging in ways that I haven't before, and I've worked out most of my life. Specifically I could feel my TFLs stretch and engage in ways that I can't even when I'm trying, and that was wild.
Looking forward to seeing where this goes. My hubby is 74 and has had both knees replaced so - if it goes well - I'll try to talk him into giving it a shot. Thank you for your channel and keep up the good content!

    • @VictoriaDorsano

Yes! Eventually I did! But whenever I overdo it, it can come back. So I just make sure to progressively load instead of overload too fast.
But to fix the pinching initially, I had to ice and rest it. Sometimes would take some ibuprofen to help with the inflammation. Usually by 3-4 days of resting, icing and reducing the inflammation, it would be back to normal.

@@TerriblePerfection Thanks for the suggestions! Those are some interesting points. I've done a genetic profile and inflammatory marker profile with several docs and allergists and grains have never come back as inflammatory for my body and my DNA. Inflammation caused by grains can be highly individual and does not apply to everybody. What can cause inflammatory markers to show in one person can be considerably different than others from a nutritional standpoint and considering if there are any gene polymorphisms. I've had the best success with a well balanced macro profile with a diversity of veggies (both low oxalate and high oxalate veggies), grains and proteins. With that being said, I'd love to see some of the research you are reading on inflammation with grains as well as veggies and their harmful qualities...Although I've done my research, there are always areas I'm open to diving into further and learning more about from others. Hey Eric! I’m not a fan of shaming others on the internet, but I’m certainly bummed you see it that way. I’m not sure how you see the “headline” (assuming you mean the thumbnail) as fraudulent. I’m referencing the fact that I’ve been lied to about how knees over toes training was classified as “bad” for athletes, and how many athletes, like myself, had been lied to about knees over toes training. I explain this more in the video if you decide to watch it. Anyways, have a wonderful day!

@@VictoriaDorsano yeah after watching your video I could see what you were referring to, but your thumbnail ( on purpose ) makes it appear that the Knees over Toes guy was lying, and you know it, what next for attention and likes, you in a thumbnail in pants and bra ?

    • @VictoriaDorsano
      @VictoriaDorsano  ปีที่แล้ว +1

First off, If I was slandering Ben Patrick, that would be one thing. But because this thumbnail captured so much attention, there have been so many people that have now learned about and purchased his program (which I do not benefit from that when anyone purchases his online program). Ben directly benefits from a thumbnail that gets people to click and learn about the program. I don’t feel bad about making him money and helping people find a way to feel better in their physical health.
But secondly, you have no idea what I did on purpose or not. Your interpretation may not even be close to what my intention was. You can’t assume anyone’s actions as being “on purpose” unless they say that.
And thirdly, pants and a bra? Sir, If you think that little of me, I’d recommend not even wasting your time on your next comment here.

Again, I’m a huge fan of his, and he’s shared my videos before to his channels.
But secondly, the entire purpose of TH-cam is posting video content for people to view. People don’t post content hoping they don’t get views. So of course, any video, with any thumbnail, is posted with the hope of getting views. Otherwise, why would anyone post anything as a public channel?
