    Easily the MOST underrated Pantera album. The 2020 Terry Date mix is ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL and finally does the songs justice. Great video as always dude!

      The remix smothered the bass. I'm not a huge fan of the album, but I always appreciated it for finally giving Rex a decent place in the mix.

      It’s so awesome they let Terry do a version of the album!!!! This is by far the heaviest Pantera album in my opinion.

      One of my favorite albums ever. I've been hooked on the Terry Date mix of it.

    I know I said this last week, but fading the actual song in and out is a very nice touch. It really shows how close these tones are. Great job as always! 🤘

      Agreed, it really helps with Pantera songs since the guitar tone works much better with the full band.

    Dude. I've been a massive Dimebag fan since 19 when I first heard CFH...now I'm an old & gray 51 yr old fart. Lol. It's nice to find another brutha from across the pond & down unda, that's even nuttier than me keeping the love for Dime alive and well in 2024. I'm truly stoked & amazed at how you've nailed those classic tones and blown away by these EQ's. Absolute LEGEND. Thanks dude!

    I have the pq4 and it doesn’t come with instructions lol. Thank you so much, didn’t understand the EQ IN vs out switch, the hi and low input, etc. I was having serious problems with clipping even on super low levels.

    Interested to hear your tone when running it through the loop. I run my rack mount PQ4 in the loop but scoop the mids considerablly. I get a much tighter and chunkier overall sonic tone in the loop, very sizzly if I push the gain. I ran it on the front end after watching your video and can tell it really has a broader, ballsier wide open feel to it. I like it for sure, but definitely different.

    great vid.. do you find the 4 band more practical.. I have been looking to get a better upper mid grind from like a JCM 800.. raw agressive.. i think the 4 band would offer more abilities to get that..

    • @LambChopper678

      The tone potential from this eq is ridiculous. Some people find them a little daunting but if you take the time to learn how to drive it then you can really get just about any tone you want

    LAMPCHOP, Do you know if the 80's Exodus albums used this Furman PQ4 in front of the amps or in effects loops? The Exodus albums from the 80's sounds like pantera

    • @LambChopper678
      @LambChopper678  ปีที่แล้ว

      I don’t think so but Gary Holt ran a very similar setup boosting loads of mids through the front end of his 800’s but he didn’t scoop any mids, just boosted bass

    For the ppl who already bought the EQFH to get dimes tone , is this a better upgrade in your opinion?

    • @LambChopper678
      @LambChopper678  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The original EQFH is an awesome eq for the fx loop and can get loads of tones but this and the eqfh pro replicate the furman boost and gain so it can be used in front of your amp for better saturation. My favorite is the EQFH Pro PQ3. It has a really aggressive gain

    • @teriakamoto
      @teriakamoto 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That would be the green one correct ? I was going to ask you your personal preference I have the original rack models 3&4 and want a compact and replaceable option as the originals are just too big, valuable, and old to be mucking around. Thanks. The Parrot seemed to love that Honky part of the song. \m/

      @@LambChopper678 Another great vid! So glad I found this channel.
      I’ve been having a hard time deciding between the EQFH Pro and the EQ4H. Mainly concerned that the EQFHP having slightly less range than the EQ4H would be a drawback, but it seems like the Pro will get you pretty much any sound you’d need. Plus “aggressive gain” is always a selling point for me. Ha

    Can't say I was a fan of that album. The og mix was terrible (imo) and the songs (while good) just didn't hit me like their previous albums. Not to mention, they had the impossible task of topping their previous 2 albums, which also are my favorite albums of theirs.
    Decent album, but an unfortunate one to go out on.
