It looks great but $10,000 for a guitar is such a foreign concept to me. You gotta be absolutely drowning in cash to be able to drop that kinda money on an electric guitar. Increasingly I just can't even fathom who Gibon's clientele is other than Wall Street bankers, Silicon Valley CEOs and the executive floor of Black Rock Investments. Not exactly winning over the current generation of musicians working blue collar jobs looking for a reasonable and reliable gigging guitar instead of a pre-distressed "collector's piece" to be hung on the wall next to one's Ivy League diplomas.
I really don’t like the T Type pickups too thin and bright on an already bright body. I changed the pickups on my 335 to custom buckers… a major improvement.
@@Followyourlight420another custom shop artist series they got wrong was the Kirk Hammett LPC. They used T Top copies instead of Kirk's usual 81/81 set in that guitar, and instead of black satin Sperzels they used gloss black Grovers
I don't like how all the checking is going left to right on the back. I don't like how all the micro scratches/buff marks are in a perfect circle pattern. Nothing about those things look like what you'd find on a true vintage guitar with natural aging and marks from playing.
You should mention the B. B. King Museum in Indianola Mississippi . You should also check out the Guitar statue monuments they have around Indianola Mississippi.
It's the mounting posts: ABR-1 has threaded rod that screws directly into the body the thumbwheel is a separate part, Nashville has bushings mounted in the body like the tailpiece and the posts screw into those. The ABR-1 is also slightly narrower, so adjustability is limited, but it has less chance for the strings to touch the back of the bridge if you have your tailpiece set down low.
Aside from what is already mentioned, the 'why' of it is that some people believe the ABR1 has better tone transfer as it goes directly into the wood. Other people might just prefer that their particular era-specific reissue matches what it had, even if they might personally prefer the other style.
I have a 65 Melody Maker and you are correct there is no hazing on that guitar. I also have a 92 SG and that thing is completely hazed. It must be the environment its aged in.

it is funny i have a 71 LP custom and just by chance the serial number is 7xxx1x and yes i understand custom serial # dont normally work like that but it just so happened on this one it does ... those crazy Norlins
@BleedingDirt-j8n I've owned both. A gibson lp and an epiphone lp. The gibson was 100x better. It was an 86 gibson vs a 94 epiphone. I don't know if the year models made a difference. Everybody that ever worked on or played the gibson loved it. When I say worked on, I had the nut replaced twice in 10 years. I chalk that up to tuning up and down so much between open g and standard tuning all the time.

Let's be honest, when you talk about Gibson and a $10,000 guitar don't we actually expect it to be disappointing? When they're popping out guitars for $25,000+ and they're not remotely special it almost feels like anything under ten grand should be made in a third world country and sold on AliExpress. I’m sure if you’re a Gibson fan/collector and you’ve not be hit by the financial down turn, you’d salivate over this. But hey, with the lack of money in the music business at grass roots level, travelling from gig to gig in an old beat up van, no roadies and no money to waste, your gonna pass on new Gibson’s, full stop. Quality and reliability is questionable, unless you’re really lucky. There’s so many great Gibson type copies out there with better QC, lower price and on the better ones, Eastman, Heritage etc, better spec’s. Most independent guitar reviewers with no dog in the fight appear really down on Gibson at the moment and have been for some time, I can’t believe they’re all wrong 🤷♂️
The accuracy is not that important because technically nothing new can be the same as the woods and electronics caps and resistors, magnets, winds on and on because they all changed all the time anyway. These are Collectors Pieces. Case queens. They are what they are. Their value won't be associated with accuracy so much as rarity and collectibility. They never get played either, so it is what it is. In collectibles if anything errors are more valuable anyway, if this thing ever got fixed, guess which guitars would be worth more? 🎸 ps Trog - never use the word did - should already has did in it - use DONE - should have DONE.

To have a replica of two other guy's same relics in Racine Wisconsin? (at least they'd be closer replicas) Sounded kinda lifeless, for 10k worth of guitar. No singing from it.
The only kind of guitar that I would ever say l would say is worth 5 figures is an custom acoustic done by a skilled and renown luthier. And even then, it better sing or I couldn't justify the expense. Hell l can't justify expense regardless. There is no point in owning a 10,000 $ guitar to play in my living room.
Rumble Re-issue 355 looks and sounds great to me, a guy who wouldn't notice period in-correct if a 1974 355 knocked me on the head. But maybe time to call up Joseph and Scott at KKR and complain about these goof-ups, since naughty Cesar obviously dropped the ball.
For 10k though's pickup cavities should be spotless, and they are worse than a 500 Epiphone. At 10K fender is almost perfect at that price. Take a peek at a Martin D45 at 10K in Canada, they are SPOTLESS. Why Gibson buyers except this is trash work is beyond me. Oh, ya, the newest thing syndrome. If that was my 10K, I would drive it to Gibson and make them fix this. They are a profit driven company and bad product are bad for the reputation. Austin, I agree for that price it is unexpectable.
All of their aged 335s look like someone took a Brillo pad to them. That's probably because that's what they did. I've never seen a real vintage guitar that looks like that.

The video for the Kirk Hammett Greeny Les Paul was absolutely shocking to me. Apparently people had a very disappointing time at the dinner and felt completely unappreciated considering they just spent $50,000 on a Gibson guitar. To make matters worse it's very likely that Kirk had a very large appearance fee, which makes the whole thing phony to me. What has happened to Gibson? If you were to tour the shop you find an employee base of roughly 20 year olds who yes love the company and what they do, but often have no idea how to recreate their historical favorites. Furthermore why in God's name did you hand your trade secrets, measurements and assembly specifications to China??? The former Epiphone employees are creating better Gibsons then what are coming out of your factory. I don't know what to think about Gibson anymore.

Never digged the haze on the lacquer that Gibson puts, real aged guitars dont look like that, it doesnt look real at all.
