This is the one city I missed visiting. I stayed in Melbourne for a couple of months in the hopes of living there for good and embracing Australia as my home. I couldn't stand it. Sydney was worse. I was told to visit Brisbane but by then I was already done with Australia. One thing to note is you must have lots of money saved or, either have a job you are about to enter into or running your own business. It is certainly very expensive living in Australia.

Brisbane is coming of age in arguably the most interesting times in history. Great developments all through town, stepping up onto the latest levels of architecture, design, engineering and technology...
As a Dutchman, who’s travelled the world extensively for work, I now live in a 5-star hotel in the heart of Fortitude Valley, this former country town with it’s summery climate, is one of the best places for a city life, with Noosa Heads and Broadbeach within striking distance, for those who are not beholden to the mon-fri 9-5 grind or other distractions. 🥂🤙

Please I did my highschool English final on how bad Australia’s immigration detention is. If you’re wanting to immigrate do it legally. If you overstay your visa you’ll be deported, best case scenario. Immigration detention is another option, but you don’t want to go there. Practically prison, overcrowded, hit hard by COVID outbreaks and given very few rights. If you’re worried about money or accomodation there are lots of jobs on farms and the like that can sign off on your work visa and give you a place to stay alongside wages.

No beggars, no homeless people, no vagabonds, no lockdown, no COVID-19, no masks, no dangers, no death due to COVID-19, no garbage on the streets, no puddles on roads, no dog poops, and no drunk people loitering. Brisbane definitely does have some homeless but they gather predominantly in specific areas. Fortitude Valley is a common spot. I used to live there. It's really not that bad though, it's not as if we have tent cities. I used to walk around Fortitude Valley at night and never had a violent confrontation. I always feel much safer in Brisbane than in Sydney or Melbourne. The weather is much more consistent too.

Boy, the city certainly has changed since I used to go out at night there in the '70s. For a start back then you could get a park anywhere. I used to drive into Queen St at 7pm on a Friday where the mall is now and there were vacant parks everywhere.

Live in the outer suburbs now, used to live in Fortitude Valley, basically where the restaurants are at the beginning of this vid. Thanks for showing that new precinct, will have to come in as it looks so nice. I was against the scooters, but I can now see that they could be a good alternative for any age, as long as you wear the helmet and obey the rules, could save you a lot of walking, particularly on a hot day or evening. The city looks so nice, so grateful to be Brisbane born and bred. Thanks so much for your vids of Brisbane have enjoyed them all
