Amazing to see this, we used to own Bertie, he was our first motorhome and we loved him. We did lots of the work on his interior. We love his new work surfaces. We had many happy travels in him. Wishing you fantastic adventures in him. Can’t wait to see your travels in him.
Wow, that is amazing to hear!! What a small world! Thank you for the well wishes! I can tell he's been loved over the years. He's a fantastic little starter motorhome! During which years did you own him if you don't mind me asking?
@@otakuhimee8291 We bought him in November 2017 and had him until June 2022. We have lots of pictures of what he was like when we bought him. We named him ‘Bertie’ it just seemed to suit him. We’re delighted that he’s continuing to a fabulous motorhome for you. We can’t wait to see your adventures in him. If you have any questions about how thing work just ask.
Congratulations! For a 26 year old vehicle this is in astounding shape! It's very well designed and I am guessing it may have been a top model at the time it was released. Thank goodness for owners who take good care of their motorhomes.
It's so clean and looks well cared for. Wishing you safety and much fun in your motor home...I encourage you to take tips from security videos on how to make your home safer when you are there and when you are away. So important. Regular security isn't enough anymore.
Thank you for the well wishes and advice! I am definitely looking into additional security options other than the habitation door lock and wheel clamp.
It looks lovely a solid van got every thing you need hope you have lots of adventures in it the older vans are allot more sturdy than the new ones happy travel
The carbon monoxide detector should be at the lowest point of the interior as its heavier than air so pools at the botttom of the room. Lovely little vana
Mobilvetta Driver 52 great wee vans, just buy a damp meter and check regularly especially the floors they are very Prone there, lovely vans tho and that's been nicely retrieved they were green originally
Absolutely true and great size for starting out. I did a lot of research before buying it and have since done a lot of re-sealing where there had been historical damp (no problems as of current though). I will be checking the flooring thanks to this advice though! Cheers!
Congrats on your fab van! It is beautiful and should give you many happy years of use. We have a 1992 Hymer which has the same trumatic heater, hob , fridge and thetford loo, it has about 140k miles on the clock and we have taken it to the south of Spain and back to Scotland! The layout of your van is great and they have amazing storage. Wishing loads of fun and safe and happy travels xx
Thank you! The sheer amount of storage was definitely a happy surprise! The appliances seem to have been the bog standard for a lot of motorhomes around that age. Great to hear yours is still giving you lots of fab trips! 😁
A very clean and well looked after camper from the look of the vid, but I would be more concerned about the underside and the engine. Also check for any leaks which can be a death knell for a camper. All the best in your adventures. I would also get a good breakdown cover just in case.
Thanks for all the advice! You're absolutely right, the engine and leaks were a main concern and thankfully after a few weeks of work everything is fully sealed! Breakdown cover was sorted immediately so that's one less thing to worry about on my travels
Superbe 👍 c'est rare de voir les WC et douches dans un camping car . C'est primordial l'hygiène . Suffisamment de rangements . Votre camping car me plaît beaucoup . Bon chance pour la suite .
Taking my parents with me the first few trips but definitely been looking into security options for solo travelling to be more safe! Other campers have given me some tips which is lovely :)
@@otakuhimee8291 that's good .yea saftey best what's your name.im looking at camper vans .just seen 2 campers same photos in 2 different locations 2 different owners .right dodgy xx
As time goes on the plastic and the seals around the windows will degrade, so for about 200$ you can buy an rv cover which will protect it from the elements quite well.
Brilliant. You chose very well, what a lovely motorhone. The interior has aged very well too - the lack of the usual 90's chintz is a real positive. Enjoy.
Not looking to paint anything inside at the moment as it looks pretty pristine to me! I'm sure if it needs anything painting in the coming years I can do it then 🙂
Very nice well looked after motorhome, I have been looking at motorhomes and I can't think why someone would buy a converted van to be honest, they are normally done by a DIY guy in his garage, the vans have been abused in their early life and is hard to find one under 200'000 miles, LOL, also these ones are purpose factory made, always seem quite luxurious (even older ones) and low mileage and well looked after. I enjoyed your video, hope you have happy times in her or him.
The high mileage on vans was exactly the reason I opted not to go for a converted one. For the price and condition of them, it was absolutely not worth it. Thank you for the comment!
Yeah it's no problem! I paid £9000 for it and bought as a project as it had bits and bobs that needed repairs. Have done quite a bit of work but tried to do as much as possible myself (apart from electrical work of course) which has come to about £1000. Not bad overall!
I did spend an awful long time trying to find the perfect motorhome for me (almost gave up a few times when I was losing hope at the sheer price of them) but I would just recommend spending the time to find something that works for you and your budget!
The habitation door is only on the driver's side! This is something I queried when buying it too as it is still a right-hand drive. Apparently it is because the motorhome was designed in Italy where they're usually left-hand drive vehicles. Very odd though for a vehicle that was not imported

It is NOT old. Well preserved and doesn't seem to have been used often. It's beautiful.

Lovely little vana
That looks in excellent condition. You don't have to do anything to it but add your personal touches wow you found a keeper
Happy travels! We have the same model of Mobilvetta but ours is a 2001. We've had Reg the elderly MoHo for 3 years now and love it.
Thanks! Mobilvettas definitely seem to be great little motorhomes for travelling in. Nice to hear you've had three years of trips in it so far!
Brilliant have many happy adventures I love the freedom a camper van gives. Goodluck.
Lovely motorhome. Well done. Looking forward to following your travels and adventures. Well done for following your dream
You made a great purchase to find these now clean and not ripped up is very rare😊
Absolutely, it does have it's fair share of dents of previous owners but in great shape for its age!

This was a great video😮😍
Thanks Kevin!
gorgeous Vehicle and a gorgeous owner ^_^
Your motor home is awesome ❤❤
Thank you!!
Fantastic video. Do you live in Bertie full time?
No, I'm not living in Bertie full time!
It looks very nice
New drinking game, have a shot every time she says "little". LOL
Very nice!
Hello i am new to your channel... Watching you from philippines..🤗🤗🤗🤗
if you don't mind me asking, how much did you pay for it and did you renovate at all or did come like this?
I'm wondering how much too.. I paid too much for my old rust bucket van, and nowhere near as good quality as this 😏
Yes how much
Yeah it's no problem! I paid £9000 for it and bought as a project as it had bits and bobs that needed repairs. Have done quite a bit of work but tried to do as much as possible myself (apart from electrical work of course) which has come to about £1000. Not bad overall!

It's perfect.
Lovely van.
Fantastic
It’s great enjoy it…
More videos please ❤
New sub! A great video 😊
I may have missed it. Where do u sleep?
I sleep in the double overcab bed but the seating area also makes a double bed for a further 2 people!
Looks modern for 1998
❤❤❤
Great set-up. Slow down on the camera panning.
Our motorhome is a 1997 Peugeot boxer Wayfinder.
Definitely a bit bigger than my little Bertie then! I'm sure you have a lovely big seating area
Is it diesel, 4 wheel drive, etc? Type of engine?
Yes it's a 1.9 turbo diesel but not 4 wheel drive unfortunately. Would be absolutely amazing if it was! A 1.9 isn't massive but does the job!
@@otakuhimee8291 nice! I have been looking at importing one myself.
Nice van, but the hab door seems to be on the left & right side.?

very nice and homey
Definitely!
98 is old. Damn lol
How many times did you say "very useful?" 🤣
Wouldn't like to count honestly. But hey, it's all very useful for a first time motorhome owner so it's not a lie
Jeez. I don't think I've ever heard the over use of 'little little little' so much in my life. Wow.
If I may get yourself a spare ignition module and batteries for your fire as they are prone to fail.
I'll have to have a look into this! Thank you for the advice, it's always better to be prepared.
