Great video, I print my buildings on full page shipping labels. Peel and press them on to the board. Also I use 1/4 foam board for two of the walls, this eliminates the need for the wood framing.
Dear Sir, I had just subscribed to your most excellent channel when i saw you painting clouds on the background panels. I knew then something was definitely fishy. Not in a thousand years i would be able to paint clouds like those. A few videos later i learned that you are a professional artist. I kept watching your great videos, always trying to learn new techniques, and i am glad i did. Today's video is a great reminder that you also look after us, poor modelmortals, in teaching how to do beautiful models, even if it be, like meself, a complete amateur. For all this i thank thee, and now i am full of new ideas for me own wee layout. Cheers from Brazil!
Many of my paper buildings are final structures. I build about the same way other than I scribe the conrners with a round tip sewing needle and fold on a steel rule. A great way to build fast for temp or permanent buildings.
Mock ups are a great idea and give you something to look at and inspire you down the line, thanks!
Dave, Amazing mock ups! What a great idea and proof of concept for setting the stage for the structure to come.

Great tips Dave! Thanks for sharing!

Cereal boxes are perfect cardboard for mockups, too

Great video Dave. When you stain wood, I have seen you use wood stain and ink and alcohol. Which do you prefer
I like both. I use the wood stain pens for fresher, newer looking wood, and the ink and alcohol mixture for silvery old weathered wood.
Hi Dave, great video as always. What software program do you use to create your building images?
I use Adobe Illustrator
You did not show the actual scoring for bending the cardboard. I suggest scoring on the backside to maintain the paint or ink surface.
