- This week I continue work on my Knott's and Calico inspired Wild West boomtown, adding grade crossings, roads, retaining walls, and stairs to prep the town site for future structures.

As always good stuff. Plastruct makes a nice 1/48 injection molded set of steps that you just cut to length. May not look as good but for those of us less talented or hand issues! Thx

I can see a scene at the Calico Saloon now. A drunk walks off the top of the retaining wall and splat, right on the road below, while 3 or 4 of his buddies are standing up top, laughing their tails off.

Great video but for some reason the sound goes way down when you started talking about using grout???

Yes I think so
Would stacking scale timbers work for stair steps too?
Yes, in fact I did just that in front of the Birdcage. Most steps are about 6-9” high so they just need to be the right dimensions.
Another great video. How are the building locked in position? Just by the sidewalk?
Good question! Different ways, but most are just set in place with the sidewalk holding them in position. Gravity does the rest.
