  • This week I continue work on my Knott's and Calico inspired Wild West boomtown, adding grade crossings, roads, retaining walls, and stairs to prep the town site for future structures.
    Thanks for watching, amigos!

    Somethin’ about the ‘Adios for now’ that ties up the whole show.

    As always good stuff. Plastruct makes a nice 1/48 injection molded set of steps that you just cut to length. May not look as good but for those of us less talented or hand issues! Thx

    Dave, big fan here. I need to explore all your vids as I'm curious about the history of your model building. It looks like pretty soon I'll finally be able to do a large layout and run trains across the fabulous fantastic American Southwest with possible connection to meter gauge in Thailand, hahahahah. Thanks again, Paul in Thailand-Agent D&RG Ry

    I love your videos. You have inspired me to build something similar in G scale, garden railroad.

    I can see a scene at the Calico Saloon now. A drunk walks off the top of the retaining wall and splat, right on the road below, while 3 or 4 of his buddies are standing up top, laughing their tails off.

    Hi Dave, I recently found your channel and I am enjoying it very much. Binge watch the GGRR. Amazing detail. I am wondering where you got the hydrocal stone wall or mold. I'm a big fan of Jerome, visited a few years ago when spending some time with family in Phoenix.

    Great video but for some reason the sound goes way down when you started talking about using grout???

      Sorry about that, I was having issues with my microphone.

    Looks great. Do you think that sanded grout could be used for n scale?

    Would stacking scale timbers work for stair steps too?

    • @ThunderMesaStudio
      @ThunderMesaStudio  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, in fact I did just that in front of the Birdcage. Most steps are about 6-9” high so they just need to be the right dimensions.

    Another great video. How are the building locked in position? Just by the sidewalk?

    • @ThunderMesaStudio
      @ThunderMesaStudio  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Good question! Different ways, but most are just set in place with the sidewalk holding them in position. Gravity does the rest.
