Thanks for this. I too have the sct x4 and hate the cable. All I monitor is boost. This would be a good thing for me to pick up. I wasn't aware of all the different features and things you could monitor. I also didn't know you could just plug it into OB2 I thought you had to run to the vacuum line for boost. So that makes it interesting and easy to install. Thanks I'll be looking into this
Glad to help! There are two versions of it. Just the boost gauge, which is what you are speaking about. Or the multi gauge obd2 one, which is what I installed in this video. Obd2 is a bit more expensive, but was worth it to me.
Back in the days we installed them in our air ducts but we would block the airduct due to illinois we have our heat on blast and worried about things eventually melting wires or the gauge would have issues from the heat.
Worked no issues first try. Still working great to this day. Maybe your boost is set to bar? Maybe do a reset of the gauge and see if it goes back to the default settings.
People like WRX /STi content a lot because it’s a car that is nice but still affordable. If you get a BMW or Porsche I’m not sure the people will relate to the content as much . Most of your followers are STI fans . Make me think that a 2023 WRX build would get you a ton of views. If you are monetized I’m sure the channel will pay for the WRX payment . You would make the new WRX so dope.
The STI was a car I owned because I wanted to own it. Just shared my journey via TH-cam since I enjoy the process. A car purchase of mine is never based on views or trends. The vb doesn’t interest me at all. Sure, it would get views but that’s not what I’m about.

Installed for over a year. Been through heat and ac. No issues at all.

Yes sir. The starter x keeps the obd2 open. Both plugged in and working perfectly.

It would need to be the same shape as the vent it’s going in.

Nah, the wires are covered with a thermal sleeve. Plus it doesn’t get that hot.
