Next at age 8 her summer concert singing What a Difference a Day Makes. That is the song that made producer David Foster fly to Norway and work with Angelina. He has worked with her several times since.
I think my favorite has to be Bang Bang. I love how Angelina takes a (now) obscure song and just slays it. Summertime is also super-impressive, though.
As complex the last performance was, her acapella performance of "I'm a fool to want you" is masterclass! She has a dozen or more that are next level event.
just turned 8 at that point, and she decided to give away her winnings to charity. Became the youngest author of a book at age 9, where she tells the story about why she always perform b a r e f o o t. 'How LUCKY are we to be able to follow such a talent from age6-7 yrs and onward?? what a 🎁❣🥰
Heard this song so many times and was memorized by AJ's voice that I never caught her count to four keeping count. 😮 Great ears Schofield. I appreciate your expert analysis.
I'm adding to the voices who are asking you to next do "I PUT A SPELL ON YOU" from when she was 9. This is the one that drops people in their tracks and is often people's entry into Angelina's music. My next favorite from this period is when she was 10 and has a live performance of FEELING GOOD. She's really into her own by then and has been singing in front of huge audiences for three years and always totally comfortable. (I hasten to add that although she's performed live many times by then, her family was/is very judicious with her performing and are the totally opposite of exploitive. They have let her grow at her own pace and the results are a seemingly wonderful young woman who makes amazing music.
Awesome reaction, it's hard to pick a favorite for they are special in their own way! It is just like what is your favorite top 5 Angelina songs and your list is more than 20, LOL, God Bless!
The next song should be 'I Put A Spell on You'. Age 9. This will make your jaw drop. You will truly understand why AJ has such loyal fans. At 9, she was years ahead of anyone else at that age. th-cam.com/video/nwFloCPXzCs/w-d-xo.html
I agree. That song is key to understanding AJ’s later performances. The way she plays with styles and techniques shows that she has total control over everything. There is a lot of depth to this performance, and it is rewarding to first look up the history of the song.
The next one still 8 a huge outdoor concert with backing singers WHAT A DIFFERENCE A DAY MAKE. It shows even more development in an incredibly short time since the show.
I believe this is the moment I fell in love with this beautiful little girl and have been following her with great pride and anticipation of all the accomplishments of her young life and her future journey . great reaction !
the lady with the 2 signs was angelina's inspiration and maternal grandmother who was a child prodigy at 9 being a painter , artist , poet and author...mery zamani...angelina has said her GM is her other half and they are so close that she doesn't realize any age difference. love ur channel...
Angelina's ears are her best feature...she listens and never forgets...what she hears she can incorporate into her work. Perfect pitch doesn't hurt either.
Yay! Nina, you are a superstar! I love watching the amazing growth in Angelina's singing from her Gloomy Sunday audition until this moment. She based this arrangement on one featuring Louis Armstrong & Ella Fitzgerald. The way Angelina floats between notes is breathtaking, and that rasp in her tone melts my heart. I love the way she flips into head voice for "Daaaaa-ddy's rich." As incredible as this performance is at age 8, Angelina's magnum opus of her early career at age 9 is coming up. I Put A Spell On You will make you doubt your sanity. I'll put a link below for convenience. BTW, the woman screaming at the sky when the winner is announced is her grandmother and muse, Mery Zamani. Fantastic reaction, Nina! I love your singer-songwriter viewpoint. I Put A Spell On You - writ by Screamin' Jay Hawkins; perf by Angelina Jordan: th-cam.com/video/nwFloCPXzCs/w-d-xo.html
The woman you saw at the end shouting with the signs and happy to the sky is her grandmother Mary Zamani, she is the one who lit the spark in this talent that Angelina has to sing to us and she is the one who exposed her to those old jazz and blues songs... Angelina's whole personality has been built quite a bit Thanks to her grandmother who is an artist in her profession 🦶🦶👑🗣🎙🎷
@@geoffreynorth9046 Yeah, I was still at work, and I utilized the speech to text function on my cell phone. I'm normally able to catch the errors and correct them before posting, but I have noticed in some instances that the correct word shows up first, and then somehow it's changed after a while. Oh well... 😁
Nina, Angelina had just turned 8 yrs old went she sang "Summertime." Went she first performed "Gloomy Sunday," Angelina was 7 yrs old, and the difference in a short period showed remarkable improvement in her voice control and tone. Her talent exceeded her age, and she has continued to define her style of jazz mixed with contemporary music.
Right after this, she toured the world a little singing. She was invited to The View where young AJ sung Fly Me to the Moon alongside an acoustic guitar! After this, you should go with the classic and legendary performance of I Put a Spell on You.
That bit you were asking about, if I'm not mistaken was Angelina saying the words of Louis armstrong, at that portion of his duet with Ella Fitzgerald. I'm not even sure if she did it on purpose... But clearly she was a big fan of that performance.
For those of us who have followed Angelina for years and heard this performance dozens or hundreds of times, it’s still such a pleasure to watch an informed musician discover how amazing Angelina is. She re-defines any conception you may have had about child singers. In these early performances, there are definitely times where she is following the lead of great singers, but her own musicality just pours out of her effortlessly and uniquely. There is no bad way to select your next songs from Angelina. Any title, any age, any genre. My suggestion is just a personal favorite, but if you want to hear what Angelina can do now-what incredible vocals tools she has-watch her cover of Adele’s Easy on Me. Angelina takes Adele’s beautiful songwriting to a level that Adele cannot reach-and I love Adele’s singing. But Angeline’s tools and vocal textures are staggering, as is her ability to take any song and make you forget previous versions. Here’s the link: th-cam.com/video/Mpw5Q76hWWE/w-d-xo.html
I saw a video where Simon Cowell followed Angelina off stage and commented, [paraphrased] I don't believe you know just how good you really are! Angelina is one of the most humble performers I've ever seen.
The lady yelling from the audiance and holding up two signs is her grandmother. She has been with her every step of the way. She is a very talented visual artist in her own right. She designed the outfit Angelina wore for Bohemian Rhapsody. She also has directed some of her videos and illustrated the book Angelina wrote explaining why she performs barefoot.
I've never been sure whether it's true or not, because no-one else has ever confirmed it, but a fan who claimed knowledge of the NRK tv recording schedule for 'Norway's Got Talent' wrote that the time lapse between AJ's audition ('Gloomy Sunday') and this winning performance was only 4 months! If that's true, then the trajectory of her vocal and professional/presentation skills during this competition was truly ballistic. I travelled to Norway twice last year (2022), in order to see her perform live, but I didn't think to go to NRK in Oslo to check this alleged timescale with one of the production staff, just to satisfy my curiosity. Nina - the period between this performance of 'Summertime' and her appearance on 'America's Got Talent the Champions' which is where you started this journey, is an emotional roller coaster, jam packed with outstanding and sometimes frankly unbelievable performances, which will test your ability to explain and leave you with a single word with which to react: 'How?' IMHO her output over the next five years after NGT will remain her foundation legacy for life, no matter what her future may hold. It's a vocal tour de force, the aural equivalent of a spectacular fireworks display! R (Australia)

@@branscombeR These four months are based on a misunderstanding. The first part of the audition was broadcast on January 17th, 2014 and the finale on May 23rd, 2014 - about four months. But that's the data of the broadcast. Semifinals and finals were live because they were decided by viewer votes, so we know the exact date. During audition and judge selection, the jury alone decided who would advance, so it could be recorded and broadcast with a time delay. We know the broadcast dates (7x audition January 17th to March 21st, 2014 every Friday with Angelina on March 7th + 2x judge selection March 28th/April 4th), but about the time of the recording we only know that it happened "in autumn 2013". This also fits with Angelina's claim to have been 7yo at the time her audition started, which would have been impossible with a Jan. 17th start given to her bday on Jan. 10th. I know from hearsay (unconfirmed) that it was Angelina's turn with the audition sometime in November 2013, around half a year before the finale. It also sounds more believable given her growth over this time, especially the growth of her teeth. 😇 Nevertheless, the progress on an artistic level in this short time is phenomenal. I agree with your second comment, what she has accomplished in those five years is what others achieve in a lifetime (if ever) and it would take a reactor easily two years if he responses to one of the best performances once a week.
@@paulwagner9303 Thanks for the info, Paul. I did have the opportunity to talk with Angelina's mother, Sara, last year (2022) but was so star-struck I barely managed to string recognisable words together, let alone ask her to verify the schedule for the NGT recordings! Maybe one day soon, some lucky (and well-researched) interviewer will manage to get the full story from Angelina herself! R (Australia)
AMAZING Angelina Jordan is one of my TRIPPEL AAA TOP ARTISTS. The other two are the STUNNING SUPER SOPRANO and VOCALIST Amira Willighagen, and the ONE OF A KIND AMAZING VIOLINIST, PIANIST and COMPOSER Alma Deutcher. Great Reaction Young Lady, Angelina Sang this song again at 11 yrs old with a full on world class Orchestra at a charity event, the improvement is astounding
Nina , time to get serious with the most mind blowing video that started many angels to follow our barefoot princess ! Angelina at 9 years old with her rendition of Screamin Jay Hawkins's "I Put a Spell on You ! ! This is a studio produced video in black and white that she arranged as she likes to do in all of her songs ! The musicians called her the boss and that's a fact because she can take charge, be centre stage and lead the musicians naturally like a seasoned veteran ! I want to personally thank you for your continued support of this amazing young artist ! Angelina is about to release her first debut album that she recently recorded I am told at Abbey Road Studios to the world this year ! By the way Angelina is now 17 and just returned from Paris earlier this month where she performed at the FIFA awards show to a live streamed audience of over 300 million viewers ! She was fabulous and I'm sure everyone was wondering who this young woman was ? Republic Records are and will be promoting her big time this year ! Look out world Angelina has arrived ! Enjoy the journey Nina as we all have ! Sending you lots of thanks and love from Canada ! 👍👍🇨🇦🇨🇦❤️❤️❤️
In the passage at 4:52 that intrigues you, she moves the microphone away from her mouth and whispers "don't you say no", the same phrase that Louis Armstrong says to Ella Fitzgerald at this precise moment in their interpretation of this classic. In this version, if I remember correctly, Ella sings most of the song and Louis adds a few "comments" on the fly in his own distinctive way.
The best young female artist "IMO" just 17 years old today - Angelina sings better than already established world stars. No one can stop Angelina from becoming a world star. That's just how it is! Her first album will be released in 2023 with Republic Records. Over the years, she will become a legend for the great moments in the world. She has plenty of time. Remember she is just 17 tears old, which we forget when we see her perform. Republic Records who should also be praised for appreciating this unique talent.
You will find amazing deveiopment year to year that evolves exponentially and still continues.. Just when I start to think she couldn’t get any better she levels up sgain

Nina, you have truly encapsulated Angelina. It's that tonality. But perhaps more than than that, it's her musicality. You kept hitting on that latter point consistently throughout this performance. Well done. But, there is still more, much more. ... Next, catch Angelina at age 9 years and 2 months singing I Put A Spell On You. ( black & white video - important) You might want to check out the version by this song's creator, Screaming Jay Hawkins, as background.
You are reacting to the greatest of all time either male or female, as i believe you will undoubtedly find out in your exploration of this beautiful human being.
Thank you for continuing on with Angelina, Nina. You note in her second passage through "your daddy's rich", that her tone is "dreamy". Can't agree more. That moment when she slides up to the C# was an instant hair on the back of the neck standing up moment. I'm not sure what it is, but that moment sounds like it was pulled from the theme of a James Bond film. You will likely get an avalanche of suggestions to take up her rendition of "I Put A Spell On You" next, and I agree. However, I also want to get another song on your radar, "When You're Smilin' ". By this point, it seems that music is her plaything. I challenge you to keep a straight face through the whole thing...
Many reactors stop and replay this "Your dadddd is rich". The first time I watched this performance, I admit I replayed it about 10 times. This passage still has the same effect on me, I wait for it and replay it more than once. I can't help it. Someone once said that it was a "blue note". If you look closely, you will see that her eyes roll back for a moment. At that moment, she's not singing, she IS the song. She enters what she calls her world of beauty.
AJ knows what other performances of songs sound like and how to sound like that herself. Also knows what she sounds like herself to an amazing degree. This gives her confidence in performing. What's more, she has great sensibility as to what sounds great. Together, those attributes make a generational class talent. Add in her humility, love of craft and people, the result is a total phenom. Thanks for sharing.
Nina, your reactions to Angelina are so genuine and it's no wonder. She has touched your heart and you are truly an Angelina 'angel'. Yes, her tonality as you called it, definitely changed during her appearance on this Show. In fact, her voice escalated to another level after each performance. Nina, I know it's still hard for you to believe but she already had a level of artistry about her which defies logic and for people like you who are well versed in everything to do with music, it is very difficult to contemplate how it is possible. Her runs are well timed. Her interpretation of the lyrics are right on. And, on and on. I know you could have stopped the video about 20 or 30 times to point something out but you decided not to so that the video has a flow to it and gave the listeners a chance to enjoy the song and her presentation. Nina, I know you have already programmed yourself to believe you will never tire of listening to her video's and what an accurate statement that is. You're still at 8 years old!!!!! You have 9 years of music to provide your expert analysis to and we'll be with you all the way !
Hi Nina 👋. Awesome and fun reaction to Angie. We love the analysis of Angelina, the nerdier the better. Nina you should react to Angie when she was 6 before all this, in a sound booth at her school on her 1st take singing "I who have nothing" made famous by Tom Jones and also Sherly Bassey. Get the one with English subtitles to read what's being said between her and the sound tech. You'll really love this. ❤❤😀👍❤❤🙏 God bless you sweetie 🙏.
Nina ! Thanks for your excellent reaction to Angelina our sweetheart! If you have time please check out a demo she sang when she turned 10 for Baby Fuzz from Norway called "Still holing out for you" it is amazing. There is also a song she wrote and arranged at 12 called 'Shield" have fun. Ray
You are the first one to show a sign of the whispering part, although I don't think it went unnoticed by all the specialist that watched it. I think I had to watch the video several times to notice it. And since then, I wonder what it could be. A phrase she decided not to include but hummed to keep the rhythm? I'm pretty sure it has something to do with the rhythm but... It's so mysterious to me. Of course, the whole performance goes far beyond that detail. And your reaction was beautiful and on par with her accomplishments :)
definitely "I put a spell on you" at 9 years old. That is just one year after this performance and the growth is incredible even though she already sounded like a grown person.
Wow - that was a really good reaction! Yes, this song was quite a step up from the other performances on NGT. Her inspiration for this rendition - probably a duet with Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong. You also noticed what I think of as the "place holder" - barely audible words not to be included in the performance - in these situations they have to cut out parts of the song due to time restraints - constraints - Angelina had probably learnt the whole song and had to navigate where she was in the song? My feeling is that Angelina really connected with the story of the song - she had probably started working on the book that she wrote around this time, the emotions expressed were from personal experience. She encountered a poor girl, probably making her realise that she was quite privileged, having a comfortable life, her father was rich (from her perspective), her mother is most certainly good looking, and her younger sister, just 2 years old at the time should have nothing to cry about... Just a as a side note, Angelina worked on the musical arrangement herself, insisting that the opening trumpet note was long and plaintive - a little like Louis Armstrong would have done. All this at just 8 years old... For your next reaction perhaps you could try What a difference a day makes, soon after this final performance - in an outdoor setting - surrounded by a large audience th-cam.com/video/XHnkVextoQw/w-d-xo.html - a seasoned professional singer already... After this, perhaps you should try I put a spell on you as many others will have suggested - Angelina showing respect to Screamin Jay Hawkins (with a sprinkle of Shirley Bassey at the end...) th-cam.com/video/nwFloCPXzCs/w-d-xo.html
Great reaction Nina. The section you took note of where it looked like Angelina appeared to mouth an additional word or phrase towards the end I believe was her hearing (in her head) the Louis Armstrong response in the duet that he did with Ella Fitzgerald in one of their iconic performances together of this song. In that performance, Armstrong is doing an echo or fill response at that point in the song. It has been speculated by other "Angels" that she took her inspiration for that song from that particular performance. Here is the link to the Ella and Armstrong performance: th-cam.com/video/h3kQt14_5OQ/w-d-xo.html
Just left my, now apparently superfluous, comment before scrolling down here! Oh yea, definitely Louis in her head there, she’s a big fan (as is her grandma!).
Hi Nina!,...Mysteries of the summertime.... summer with somebody as you, clear sky ,..warm wind n salty taste,...on the beach.... forever n ever summer time...
Nina, it's Great to see that there are still Reactors out there with 50.000 or more Subscriber's that still read and Reply to the comments section, it's so refreshing and I just want to thank you ✌️
If you want to continue chronologically then next ones are: Right after NGT while still 8-9 y/o she did "What a Difference a Day Makes", "Fly Me to the Moon" (2 versions - 1 on a Norwegian TV show and another visiting the View), "I Feel Good".... If you want to jump forward a little bit directly to the Heavy-Hitters and then come back and resume chronologically, then go jump to these: "I Put a Spell on You" (9 y/o), "Still Holding out for You" (10 y/o) and "I'd Rather Go Blind" (13 y/o)
Well done! It is so fun to watch again as someone new discovers the wonderful talent that is Angelina. I think the part where you ask "What is that" is where Angelina whispers under her breath the line that Louie Armstrong would sing in the duet version of the song. as that is most likely the version she learned the song with. Possibly to keep her timing, also the woman who stood up with her arms outstretched was Angelina's grandmother Mery. Looking forward to the next one!
I wondered if it was to keep her timing - but I am not sure as she seems to have an extraordinary ability to keep perfect timing without doing anything like that... I'd love to hear what Angelina says about this !
@@geoffreynorth9046 Or maybe this "Don't you say no" is simply a respectful bow to Louis Armstrong who said this same line in a duet with Ella Fitzgerald and which I believe is the version she sings here.
All four are amazing in their own way. The first one the toothing 7 year old Angelina going viral on a Billie Holiday song. The second one with her keeping pitch and tempo over a longer period of singing a capella. The third turning of her vibrato at will and interacting with a live musician. This one so rich in timbre, vibrato and of course that beautiful high note on Daddy that you loved as well. Wonderful that you noticed that spoken phrase with the microphone down low. It escaped me until someone pointed it out to me :-) Apparently it was something Louis Armstrong said to Ella Fitzgerald in their duet which seemed to have been an inspiration for Angelina. To me it seems Angelina has a phonographic (not a real world) memory and has the original music playing in her head.
I've tried to find a rendition of this song by anyone at all that is as pleasing to the ear as this is...I couldn't find one that is in the same ballpark, other than one - and, it is by a 10 year old Angelina, with the Norwegian National Radio Orchestra, KORK...that one's beautiful and mesmerizing too
10 finalist and she received 46% of the votes. Incredible and well deserved. Definitely see her in BEAST mode. I Put a Spell on You at 9 years old. Link from her channel - th-cam.com/video/nwFloCPXzCs/w-d-xo.html
Angelina has a wonderful gift of natural talent, for sure. But even though she was only 7 when she came on this show, she had already been in a recording studio studio (at 6 years old). And put in countless hours, not just 'singing around the house', but actually honing her craft.
Yes, her powerful recording of "I Who Have Nothing', in the year before NGT is perhaps the first glimpse of that 'tip of the iceberg' talent surfacing! R (Australia)
I had no idea you were this talented & you are only one of a few that understands what this little lady did in this performance. Talk about "Onion" layers to peel on her dynamics! So much going on. Great to know your on top of your game. Great reaction, Thanks. . Like-Comment-Subscribe! I did.
These four performances are spread over almost half a year and the progress you can see here in such a short time is amazing. So it's hard to pick the "best" of these, but my favorite would still be the Fitzgerald/Armstrong cover from the finale. Interesting that you recognized the moment after the second "an your ma is good looking" - that's where she left out the Louis Armstrong part, she sang it during rehearsals th-cam.com/video/l1VTpgR3vuA/w-d-xo.html and three years later in Seoul the whole duet with two of her a thousand voices. The next giant step would be "I put a spell on you, bw version" at the age of 9 . "Unfortunately" there are still some very nice performances right after the "Norway's got talent" victory you would miss when stepping forward to 9yo Angelina: the very first open-air performance at the sing-along show "Allsang pa grensen": "What A Difference A Day Makes" th-cam.com/video/XHnkVextoQw/w-d-xo.html ; the first appearance on US TV on The View with "Fly me to the moon" th-cam.com/video/nBGMQ9Kx9iI/w-d-xo.html ; the first time she made the audience cry at the charity gala "Swedish heroes" with Michael Jakson's "I'll be there" th-cam.com/video/VJIwvWdoO3o/w-d-xo.html ; her appearance at the Nobel Peace Prize concert with "What a wonderful world" th-cam.com/video/u-FKyXdZufc/w-d-xo.html and the broadcasts on both Norwegian TV channels with Christmas carols: on TV2 (including interview) th-cam.com/video/hmkU8jpbcpg/w-d-xo.html and on NRK (two songs) th-cam.com/video/_lSwH3Uqwe4/w-d-xo.html I also find interesting "At last" where we don't just get the stage performance but also have a video with three takes from rehearsals - you can see how this 8yo girl knows exactly what she expects from the band and that SHE is in the lead - after all she is the vocalist. Rehearsal: th-cam.com/video/VU_dbECo_5g/w-d-xo.html Final product: th-cam.com/video/sWf6qRvRMho/w-d-xo.html
Gorgeous and thorough review Nina, congratulations! Of course it must be a pleasure to review such a Talent, Angelina was born with jazz and manages it wonderfully but, you will discover in the continuation that she is fantastic in all musical genres that she touches, thank you very much, have a good life ,, Massimo
The lady in the audience at end is her grandmother Mery, who also was a child prodigy in Iran as an artist. Mery is probably the biggest influence on Angelina.
The bit you noticed was Angelina saying under her breath "Don't you say no" which I understand to be Louis Armstrong's line in his duet of this with Ella Fitzgerald... I find that remarkable and can only think she had the duet running through her head as she sang.. "Tip-of-the-icebergness" is my new favourite noun! :)
By the way... I think by the time of this performance (at 8) she had a pretty good idea of how good she is... people (starting with her family) had been telling her from when she was VERY young that she had a special and beautiful voice
She picked up the part after all, but could not make out what she said despite the big spoiler clue I gave her on her last reaction🙂. So you forgive me for giving it away?😂
Great reaction as usual. Unless you want to keep discovering the next level talent of Angelina in a chronological order, check out her treatment of My Funny Valentine. Gorgeous and very classy!
If I didn't know better I would swear she is singing a Louis Armstrong trumpet line. I think at some point she's realized that she possesses some incredible vocal chords and she's exploring all the amazing things she can do with them.
With regard to the little "mumble" you detected at 4:50 of your video: AJ is modeling her rendition based on an Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong duet of this song th-cam.com/video/h3kQt14_5OQ/w-d-xo.html At 4:15 of the duet, Ella and Louis are doing a 'call and response'. What you hear is AJ doing that under her breath. I imagine AJ has a 'sound-track' (thousands actually) in her head for all the songs she knows. BTW, that was Grandma with her arms in the air shouting in joy after AJ was announced the winner. You will learn more about her as you dive into more AJ.
Nina, I loved ur reaction to Angie , thank you. Apart from Queen of Jazz, Barefoot Princess, Angie is also referred to as the girl with a thousand voices (for good reason). U picked up these changes in just a few songs, she changes a lot, it's incredible. Hard to comprehend the beauty of this performance, simply stunning regardless of age. Lovely reaction.
She will be the greatest
just turned 8 at that point, and she decided to give away her winnings to charity.
When she's announced as the winner, the lady in the audience with her arms raised and shouting is her grandmother.
Angelina Jordan... the little girl who saved Jazz!
yes definitely
I love this.
Not just Angelina resurrected the jazz genre, the Barefoot Angel also made millions of people happy by traveling in their memory time machine.
I concur.
Good suggestion 👍
Yes. I second that suggestion.
I agree. That song is key to understanding AJ’s later performances. The way she plays with styles and techniques shows that she has total control over everything. There is a lot of depth to this performance, and it is rewarding to first look up the history of the song.
couldn't agree more ! it's a once in a lifetime performance, here is the link to the right version th-cam.com/video/nwFloCPXzCs/w-d-xo.html
The announcer said she received 46% of the votes! That was her grandmother in the audience with the posters. Enjoyed your reaction!
You are absolutely right. This song is on a whole other level compared to the last one we heard in this competition. Worlds apart!
The next one still 8 a huge outdoor concert with backing singers WHAT A DIFFERENCE A DAY MAKE. It shows even more development in an incredibly short time since the show.
you will be shocked how she changes thru the years....a big WOW factor....super reaction.
I believe this is the moment I fell in love with this beautiful little girl and have been following her with great pride and anticipation of all the accomplishments of her young life and her future journey . great reaction !
She won by getting 46% of all votes given in the final, so clear win! I was one of the voters....
Oh wow!
You obviously were as impressed by this performance as I was. It's unbelievable. 😎
the lady with the 2 signs was angelina's inspiration and maternal grandmother who was a child prodigy at 9 being a painter , artist , poet and author...mery zamani...angelina has said her GM is her other half and they are so close that she doesn't realize any age difference. love ur channel...
Yes, Mery Zamani was considered somewhat of a child prodigy herself, and she excelled in assets and writing 😊
Ah fabulous! Thank you for sharing 😊
I obviously (or maybe NOT so obviously 🤣) meant ARTS and writing.....
@@poolhallshark I wondered what you meant ! :)
@@geoffreynorth9046 Yeah, I was still at work, and I utilized the speech to text function on my cell phone. I'm normally able to catch the errors and correct them before posting, but I have noticed in some instances that the correct word shows up first, and then somehow it's changed after a while. Oh well... 😁
Enjoying watching your AJ journey. I would suggest “I put a Spell on You” or “I’m still holding out for you” next.
She's a rare gem. Watching her growing up is absolutely miraculous.
Angelina is only 15 in her performance of Easy on Me. She has done quite a few Adele songs.
I've never seen someone become a real professional in such a short period of time as AJ did between her NGT audition and her final performance.

Nevertheless, the progress on an artistic level in this short time is phenomenal.

You've heard that too... a voice that whispered "don't you say no" eerie!!!
Just unbelievable talent from a child
Thanks for the new reaction and for the playlist. Hope to see more soon.
You are reacting to the greatest of all time either male or female, as i believe you will undoubtedly find out in your exploration of this beautiful human being.
You saw it, too. She grew exponentially from "Gloomy Sunday" to "Summertime"
Great! You’re the only reactor I’ve seen catch that little whispered line! So subtle, subliminal, and sublime.
That was her grandmother standing up hollering in the end.
Good Morning Nina, great to see your reaction this morning. :D
👋🏻 😊
ANGELINA....👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
❤❤❤😊

This is why she is called the "Angel with a 1000 Voices"
Wonder reaction 😊
I love her singing summertime! It’s on my playlist everyday! She’s so magical! Thank you 🙏👌💫❤️
Wow - that was a really good reaction!
Angelina's vocals makes a good study. She's not your average singer but a piece of art. Looking forward to some more Angelina.
Yes, that is correct, Phil❤
And on all the cheering signs for Angelina, in the audience, you could see a photo of Louis Armstrong.

If you want to continue chronologically then next ones are:
Right after NGT while still 8-9 y/o she did "What a Difference a Day Makes", "Fly Me to the Moon" (2 versions - 1 on a Norwegian TV show and another visiting the View), "I Feel Good"....
If you want to jump forward a little bit directly to the Heavy-Hitters and then come back and resume chronologically, then go jump to these:
"I Put a Spell on You" (9 y/o), "Still Holding out for You" (10 y/o) and "I'd Rather Go Blind" (13 y/o)
Also "What a Wonderful World" at the Nobel Peace Price event.
A very generous kind review.
Great reaction thank you wild bill 🙂
@@shaneconstantine6531 yes, I think so - honouring her music heroes (that is definitely the version she sings here )
All four are amazing in their own way.
Don't kid yourself, she knows exactly what she's doing.

These four performances are spread over almost half a year and the progress you can see here in such a short time is amazing. So it's hard to pick the "best" of these, but my favorite would still be the Fitzgerald/Armstrong cover from the finale.

the very first open-air performance at the sing-along show "Allsang pa grensen": "What A Difference A Day Makes" th-cam.com/video/XHnkVextoQw/w-d-xo.html ;
the first appearance on US TV on The View with "Fly me to the moon" th-cam.com/video/nBGMQ9Kx9iI/w-d-xo.html ;
the first time she made the audience cry at the charity gala "Swedish heroes" with Michael Jakson's "I'll be there" th-cam.com/video/VJIwvWdoO3o/w-d-xo.html ;
her appearance at the Nobel Peace Prize concert with "What a wonderful world" th-cam.com/video/u-FKyXdZufc/w-d-xo.html
and the broadcasts on both Norwegian TV channels with Christmas carols: on TV2 (including interview) th-cam.com/video/hmkU8jpbcpg/w-d-xo.html and on NRK (two songs) th-cam.com/video/_lSwH3Uqwe4/w-d-xo.html
I also find interesting "At last" where we don't just get the stage performance but also have a video with three takes from rehearsals - you can see how this 8yo girl knows exactly what she expects from the band and that SHE is in the lead - after all she is the vocalist.
Thank you so much Massimo! Really appreciate you watching and commenting 😊
Haha thank you! Re-inventing the English language 😆
She picked up the part after all, but could not make out what she said despite the big spoiler clue I gave her on her last reaction🙂. So you forgive me for giving it away?😂
@@claudest-gelais8456 of course :)

Magical storyteller ❣️
Great reaction as usual. Unless you want to keep discovering the next level talent of Angelina in a chronological order, check out her treatment of My Funny Valentine. Gorgeous and very classy!
If I didn't know better I would swear she is singing a Louis Armstrong trumpet line. I think at some point she's realized that she possesses some incredible vocal chords and she's exploring all the amazing things she can do with them.
The little breath out so her tiny lungs could fill with fresh air to finish the song.
Prodigy falls short of describing how amazing she is.
Amazing performance and I loved that you pointed out the word daddy... love how sings that word ❤️
Yes it was beautiful! Thanks for watching 😊
That's the part I keep rewinding over and over every time I watch this performance. It's hauntingly beautiful to ear 🥰
Great reaction. This performance is one of my top 5 favorites from her.
You really should check out her version of Screamin J Hawkins doing I Put a Spell on You when she had just turned 9. Mind will be blown!
Nina, I loved ur reaction to Angie , thank you. Apart from Queen of Jazz, Barefoot Princess, Angie is also referred to as the girl with a thousand voices (for good reason). U picked up these changes in just a few songs, she changes a lot, it's incredible. Enjoy the journey, any of the suggestions here will not dissapoint, neither will any from her catalogue of YT, Insta or TikTok recordings ❤
Thank you for this nice reaction. Must have been so overwhelming for her, suddenly all those screaming people.
i really like watching your angelina reactions
