    I have a serious example
Let's think that a couple is in live in relationship and have a quarrel with their neighbours for human or animal rights violation ,so with other laws can defend them but this ucc neighbours will torture them and can sent them to jail with few thousand rupees bribe to the police man

This issue is in India all these journalist and not really secular. The are fake or psuedo secular. If these individuals are questioning the registration of live in relation, they should question the need to register marriage which already exist. A marriage is a personal choice between a man and woman, and why should they inform/register it with government. Thru marriage if a couple is trying to gain tax benefits since they are living in the same house, sharing public resource, then they should file tax jointly simply as domestic partner and registering marriage can be fully optional. Other places where the advantage of having children (example tax credits for children) can be regulated through the woman identifying the father at the time of delivery either through a statement or DNA test, this will give them the evidence for tax credit as well as child-support as needed. Here the woman should be provided the option not to declare who is the father, then it should be made clear they loose her rights for child support from the male who is responsible for the child. And at this situation you cannot say registering marriage will protect the woman. So you cannot protect woman in one situation and not in another.
So if you want government to stay away from all personal matter, go deep and question everying thing and try to solve on the couples willingness to accept they are living in the same house (whether they are married or not) for them to gain tax benefits and make it compulsory for paternity test at the time of delivery and this will involve a man whether they like it or not. IF the woman refuses the paternity test on civil rights angle, then the burden will be on the woman and here you should not come say that marriage should be register to protect the woman.
you can not have the cake and eat it too.

A very valid point!! But I think it's the fault of our judiciary for the 3-4 crores cases in India... These all knowing creatures start taking PILs left, right and center, instead of focusing on lowering the backlog of cases... I mean, who made them God? Is it their right to decide a particular case is irrelevant and discard it??
I might have a bit more respect to the judiciary if I believed all the Milords in the Supreme Court were elected meritoriously.
We, the normal folks, have to sit for examinations after examinations, but these leeches only go to the top based on their birth (if this isn't caste system, tell me what is). And they have the gall to give us lectures on how we're supposed to behave and things like that.
Look at the current CJI and see who his father was. This esteemed gentleman giving us gyaan, look at his familial background. You deserve no respect from me.
The last brahmastra that these shikandis have is the contempt of court case, and lowering the dignity of the court. I wanna put a contempt of court case on these jokers themselves, but they'll dismiss the case thinking that I'm a crazy person.
But if you talk to any normal Indian, they have started to develop deep rooted hatred towards our judiciary. Unfortunately, what Pakistan army is to their country (a cancer destroying the soul), in the Indian context, it is our esteemed judiciary.
Edit: I would like to apologize to Milords, please don't put a contempt of court case on me.
When people wonder why the judiciary starts to crawl when a majority government comes to power (which is what is happening now, and in the 70s-80s), you know that these judges are only looking out for themselves, and not looking at delivering justice.
There was a research done by some company that showed, as and when a SC judge approaches the retirement age, irrespective of his/her beliefs, they all start giving judgements in favor of the government. Do you know why? It's in the hope that they get post retirement benefits like being the head of some tribunal or something like that.
So when this person gives us gyaan, I can only wonder why? Maybe he didn't get the plum posting he was looking for, and now venting out his frustration. I mean, "hypocrisy ki bhi seema hoti hai".

In the West, we have something called a Civil Partnership or Civil Union. Although initially intended for same-sex couples but its applicable to anyone who doesn't want to be in a wedlock but to remain in a relationship. Here, the couples can register this partnership if they need legal support from the State. However, registering such relationships is not mandatory. It is like having an analogy where they say capital punishment will have a detrimental effect on heinous crimes, which is so untrue. 🤨

The issue is, in India all these journalists are not secular. The are fake or pseudo secular. If these individuals are questioning the registration of live in relation, they should also question the existing need to register marriage. If you say living together is a personal choice, a marriage also personal choice between a man and woman, and why should they inform/register it with government? Thru marriage if a couple is trying to gain tax benefits since, they are living in the same house, sharing public resource, then they should file tax jointly simply as domestic partner and registering marriage can be fully optional. Other places where the advantage of having children (tax credits for children) can be regulated through the woman identifying the father at the time of delivery either through a statement or DNA test, this will give them the evidence for tax credit as well as child-support as needed. If you insist insisting for paternity test is a violation of personal right, the woman should be provided the option not to declare who is the father, then it should be made clear they lose her rights for child support from the male who is responsible for the child. And at this situation you cannot say registering marriage will protect the woman. So, you cannot protect woman in one situation and not in another. So if you want government to stay away from all personal matter, go deep and question everything thing and try to solve them on scientific and optional basis, such as the couples willingness to accept they are living in the same house (whether they are married or not) for them to gain tax benefits and make it compulsory for paternity test at the time of delivery and this will involve a man whether they like it or not. If the woman refuses the paternity test or not willing to name the father of the child on civil rights ground, then the burden will be on the woman and here one should not come to say that marriage should be registered to protect the woman. you cannot have the cake and eat it too.

Because marriage is already established institution which follows certain codified laws (religious or govt statute).
If two consenting adults want to follow it they have all the freedom to marry.
If they don't want to get into it, they find live-in convenient. Why make live-in certified as "marriage-lite".
Extremely stupid for you to even make such illogical claims and post it on the internet for everyone to see.

    Most Landlords would demand registration.
Most parents of the Girl would want registration,
India being what it is , it is usually the girl who is physically thrown

there is dispute / altercation / relationship sours.
A majority of Girls would prefer registration
    Karan did not pursue intercaste
Karan is obsessed with protecting interfaith.
Especially Muslim Boy - Hindu Girl .
Say it aint so Mr Thapar.
Many families kill one or both in the live in relationship.
Family Honor thing. Its in the culture and the DNA.
Registration gives the Police some evidence and a paper trail to follow up .
Registration can help in case of a rape allegation.( Girl looks at something
in the guy's phone , goes bananas )
Karan ..... Let the guest talk .... do not lead him with your agenda.

Registering live relationship protects both men and women. In case of men, women cannot claim based on promise of marriage for example. The benefits such as medical insurance, children etc. will also be protected including property for surviving partner. However, it should only involve registration with authorities having no right to approve or investigate. Similarly no fines or jail time.

Would former Prime Minister Vajpayee have had to register his live in relationship and the child born of the relationship under such an Act? Is there an age limit for presuming that a livein relationship exists? For example, what about a post menopausal woman who lives with a man, for safety etc.?

@@Neel454At least I never claim that India got independence in 2014. We should all respect our founding fathers and mothers, including JLN. But what I have a problem with is the sycophancy around the Gandhi family, and their new narrative of the North-South divide. I can't stand this being peddled by portals like The Wire, and is one of the main reasons why I'm gonna support BJP in 2024.
Do I think that party is perfect? Definitely no. I have many reservations about how they're alienating 20 percent of Indians, but I'll swallow the bitter pill and vote for them coz I'm afraid if INC comes to power, we're going to have a repeat of 1947 partition.
Edit: And I have serious reservations on journalists like Arfa Khanum, Karan Thapar, Rajdeep Sardesai and the lot. I was an avid watcher of Vir Sanghvi and Barkha Dutt too, but they destroyed their credibility (at least in my eyes), after the Radia tapes, and the same happened to me yesterday after you-know-who became a RS member. How can we trust these journalists and opinion makers, if they have their own ulterior motives?😢😢

An unregistered live in relationship should not be treated at par with marriage when it comes to maintenance. The couple should know very clearly that the rights and obligations in a live in relationship are different from that in a marriage. You can criminalize if one person wants to exit the live in relationship but is being pressurized by the other person to continue.
