Did you know there's a lost game of the franchise? Did you know about Suikoden character cameos in other games? store.steampowered.com/app/19... / culganvalya / culganvalya #suikoden #konami #jrpg
Same! I remember my first couple of playthroughs when I was a little kid, I didn't get all 108 SoD. I didn't like Gremio much at first, but when he died I really started to miss him and wanted him back. Then I think on my 3rd or 4th playthrough I managed to get all SoD. I had no idea he could be resurrected. I was so excited that I put Gremio straight into my party for the final boss.
Really good information :D, I never understood the decision of not using a fixed name on the suikoden series, I believe that having a fixed name for the characters helps to that bond you create with them playing the game
I agree, It really helps create a bond between you and the character. Murayama always liked the silent protagonist style so that you could project yourself into the character and interpret the character and story in your own way though. I guess that's why he decided to not go with a fixed name. But it seems clear that the majority of fans prefer fixed names on the protags in the series.
I have to say that when it comes to the name for the protagonist of the fifth game, in my opinion none of the "canon" names truly fit him. Not like Tir or Riou (yes, there's an u in his name). I just can't decide which I prefer of Faroush or Freyjadour. Most of the time, I prefer the first one, since it makes me think of their parents. The second one is just so...fluffy.
I always use Freyjadour. I quite like the name Faroush, but I didn't find out about that name until I had already done two playthroughs, and by that point Freyjadour had stuck with me and grew on me a lot. I think the Faroush name is meant to be more of a blending of his parents names, but Freyjadour just sounds better to me.
Suikoden Tierkreis: Hoshikuzu no Shiro (Stardust Castle) is a different game from the NDS game. It was a visual novel prequel to Tierkreis that released only for mobile phone in Japan. It followed the story of The Nameless Hero(the father of the main character from Tierkreis on the NDS)
...but, Suikoden Stardust Castle its not the last entry in the series? Like I openly admit, I never heard of it^^ But the last entry is Tsumugareshi Hyakunen no Toki, which came out in 2012 for the PSP. ..its also incredible bad for a Suikoden game, and okay for an rpg. But well, just thought I let you know. The game also btw has a wonderful fan translation. (its just to bad that the game itself.. well, I already said, I think it sucks.)
I think you may have misheard my pronunciation of "Lost" as "Last". "The lost entry in the series". Lost, because it was forgotten about and most people never knew it existed. I've played Tsumugareshi Hyakunen no Toki, and it's not a good game. I thought it sucked. By far the worst Suikoden game.
In Japanese he was called Tyiru, so I just go by the Japanese pronounciation without the 'u' at the end. I could be wrong and it may just be Tir as you pronounce it.
All i know is that it's one of Psycho mantis's all time favourites.
I remember spending a LOT of hours trying to bring Gremio back, take awhile to get all of the stars of destiny

Cool video, and I just subscribed when you had 107 subscribers. So I just made us the 108 Subscribers of destiny. How bad ass is that? 😎
Awesome! The final Star of Destiny! I really appreciate it!
Amazing video! Keep the good work!
Thank you for the kind words! I'm still very new at this and that was only my second video.

Tierkreis was released for the NDS or is that a different Tierkreis? 🤔

I recommend you to try " Suikoden The Last Hope " for Playstation 1 it's including a different scenario for Odessa. 🎮
That looks very interesting. Thanks for letting me know. I'll definitely give it a try!
hmmm sounds like i've been saying Tir wrong, sounds like you say Tier where as i say Ter...kinda like Turd without the d sound lol

@@CulganValya honestly i think the way you say it right hahah XD
