RC Icons | Tamiya Clodbuster - BIG FUN!

Hey everybody welcome back to the channel! I am FINALLY getting around to posting this video I made a little while ago about the Clodbuster we built for the Quarterly Classic back in January. I've wanted a Clod since I was in like middle school or something and never wound up getting one until this past Christmas when my wife decided to go above and beyond and buy me one. I was completely blown away needless to say but I got it built during the first weekend of January and made a video. This is perfect for one of my RC Icons videos because if the Clodbuster is anything, it is iconic. One of the most iconic RC monster trucks to ever jump a curb thats for sure. Anyway I hope you guys enjoy watching this video. It was a blast to make and I'm excited to finally get it uploaded. Any Clodbuster fans out there? Like you mentioned, at first I thought it was heresy to paint the parts differently than what the box art shows, especially Special Editions, but after I started building my own kits, I then realized that it's really up to the artist to paint whatever they want on their canvas. Love the pun of the channel's name BTW... 😊

Thank you for subscribing! I love how you referred to the kit to a canvas. One of the best parts of our hobby is the ability and freedom to make our kits our own! That said, I do stick to the box art with a lot of Tamiya kits because that is how they look best. I didn’t stray at all from the box on my Grasshopper lol! You’re only the second person to catch the pun in my channel name so far and I’m glad you like it. Anyway thanks for watching and thank you again for the sub. I’ve been building these Tamiya kits live here on TH-cam quarterly, and will be building another in April, so if you have any ideas of what I should build next I’d love to hear them!

@@Bash_TheStampede I'm mostly just into Monster Trucks, but I like all sorts or RCs, I do have some electric airplanes, but since I've moved, I've yet to find a club near enough to where I could fly them again. So, I say build what every you like, do it for you not just for the content. This hobby (or any hobby for that matter) can get very expensive, do it for your enjoyment and not others. I'm on a tight budget, and I'm putting together a Tamiya Juggernaut right now and reviving my Clodbuster (please don't laugh at my amateur video editing). 😅 I also have a couple of Tamiya TLT-1s, which I'll probably be featuring in my future videos.

I’ve always wanted a Juggernaut! I wish I’d have gotten into Tamiya monster trucks when some of them were still available lol. Enjoyment is definitely first for me in the hobby. I think the content creation part of it has been more of an evolution of how I enjoy it. I’ve been able to take multiple interests and turn them into one big creative thing! I haven’t checked out any of your videos just yet but since they’re about Tamiya monster trucks I’m excited to see them!
