My boyfriend talked me into playing something scary for Halloween this year and Phasmophobia Date Night was the result. It turned out to not be as scary as I was expecting, but that didn't stop him from pushing my buttons. All in all, we had a good time getting a little frightened on Date Night.

Ironically, the girlfriends screams were fine. The boyfriend screams on the other hand? No please, my ears had enough and its even more funny considering how soft and calming his voice is.
From when? He barely screamed? and when he did it was incredibly muted and low. How did the high pitched whine compare to his? Or did I miss something.

Anyway its just a joke, dont take it too seriously. I hate both their screams :P
Tips for future Phasmophobia plays:
- Sanity drops more faster in dark. With lights on or holding a candle prevents sanity loss. You can also get sanity back from sanity pills.
- Some ghosts responds only to alone people, some responds to groups
- When hiding from a ghost, you should put your electrical devices off as the ghost can sense you if you keep them on.
- If the ghost makes that car alarm on, you can turn it off if you pick up the car key (usually near when coming from the main door)

This channel is like a warm fireplace in the evening and I love it
The “responds to people who are alone” only means only one person can be in the room when using spirit box. Also the reason why the ghost probably did nothing to nick when he went in, but then attacked you, is because the ghost gets more aggressive the less average sanity the team has. When he goes in, your sanity is really high, but his sanity tanks which tanks your average sanity so when you go in and lose just a bit of sanity the ghost gets aggressive real fast. Kinda set yourself up there 😂
That was the perfect combination of spooky and wholesome. Happy halloween guys

Oh, those are some devious plays by the boyfriend! Never have played phasmophobia, not sure that I would enjoy playing it, but it is fun to watch.

Amazing as always! Not a big fan of scary games (i get enough adrenaline flowing in my daily life than you very much), so excuse if my recommendations are a little bit weird: "Spooky's Jump Scare mansion" is a satirical take on scary games that also somehow manages to be scary in its own right, its not a big game, but being free on steam, its a nice little adventure that you can hotseat through when 1 person has had enough. "Sisyphus Reborn" is a different kind of scary, the meaninglessness of our world kind of scary, again a short little adventure game that will have you pondering rather than the adrenaline rush of normal horror.
3 Honourable mentions: We were here, Alien Swarm: Reactive Drop and Prey are all games that I've already mentioned in my recommendations, and they all incorporate horror elements very well, but arent horror games per say.

Some people have probably already said it, but the "only responds alone" is only for using the Spirit Box item and it only applies to the room the ghost is in, not the whole house.
I will always belive there’s nothing more painful but also funny to watch then people play phasmophobia for the first time

The ghost has a time limit before it can start to hunt. If the boyfriend went in first he was taking the safe time, that is likely why the girlfriend kept finding the ghost.

P.s as other said you can thrn the car off just gotta find the key for the car ^^ in a decent amount of maps it can spawn at the entrance on a table or in a small bowl :D
There is actually a very similar game called Ghost Watchers where you do actual have to hunt and capture the ghost at the end.

The ghosts can sense active electronics so when you are hiding you need to turn them off, unequip them or drop them.
There is no more classic horror movie move than the boyfriend who likes playing tricks on his girlfriend, so she doesn't believe him when he's actually being hunted by the monster so he gets killed
in case noone else told you yet: to make the car shut up you need to find the car keys and bring them to the car, maybe press interact but thats how it shuts up again

Really fun to watch you play! There are a lot games that 2 can enjoy! Better than playing alone! In my suggestion, if you haven't played, give them a try!
1. Trine (1-4) 1-3 players: Legends of a wizard, a knight and a thief set their foot onto a great adventure to save the kingdom. Puzzle platform game
2. Portal 2: Sci-fi room escaping. Campaign supports only 1 player but there are 2 player coop mode as well. Puzzle game
3. Haven: Sci fi, designed for couple coop. Adventure game
4. Spellforce 3: Not a popular franchise to be honest, but I think the game is good, immersive and beautiful with a long epic campaign and story. If you are interested in both RTS and RPG with coop, then you might give it a try. Ancient fantasy RTS x RPG
5. No Man Sky: Sci-fi space open world. Sandbox, survival, discovery.

To turn off the car alarm, you need the car key which can usually be found in a bowl right by the front door on maps with cars.

There is a few things that might have resulted in your death, as you said the ghost can hear you and if you panic and/or say words like "I'm scared" or "run" it's like a trigger word setting them off quicker to kill you. Also you need to find the car keys to turn off the car.

I find it the most funny that you seemingly never realised that ghosts see where you are during hunts when you hold an item that is turned on... such as that video camera Girl is always holding...
Also, the car alarm can be turned off with the car keys in the house. They always spawn in the same spot.

any chance of an EDF 5 date night? its a brilliantly b movie game (the story is told like a radio play where your character is not speaking but rather overhearing others talking) you can co-op split screen or play online co-op, no need to worry about ammo (for most weapons) I can see girlfriend being a ranger or fencer (fencer has 2 sets of heavy weapons and we know how girlfriend loves heavy weapons) and boyfriend playing air raider or wing diver (as air raider needs credits gained from kills to reload some weapons and wing divers weapons are charged off their jetpacks power source)

great video! if you're ever planning on playing more often, i'd recommend checking out Psycho his videos! (he's also the potato you found). he makes great videos, including tips and explanations about different game mechanics and ghosts! keep in mind older videos MIGHT be outdated on info though!
