I must get one of those 10 wheel azov's, they do seem pretty popular and versatile with the add ons. Going to park the actaeon and give the warthog a good drive now I think. Cheers for the shout out in comments! Decided on my imandra motto too: My truck *will* fit. Said in a determined tone of voice.
well. Imandra got me mixed feelings. at first it was hell to ride but fun when you reach target. Yet the main problem is that all map looks the same. if you would look for example at Smartvile Dam you could find parts with steep inclines and rocks, narrow traverser , muddy pits, piece of good highways, watercrossings, more twisty but still decent quality roads, narrow forest paths. It alllowed you to determine your strengths, weaknesess and plan your route accordingly. But Imandra is very simmilar at most of it's part, similarly to lake Kovd. Simply avoid rocks and try not to stuck in snow (which is so boring sloooooow), get on ice and try not to fall into it. It made me so bored that i stopped playing game, not because of difficulty, but it just didn't entertain me. I've been playing it since release (with a 2 week brake for Ghost of Tsushima), and probably when I'll finish Watch dogs I play now I'll come back to snowrunner to finish new task on maps that was in base game and then ocasionally just play to see what comes in next updates
I think the zink thing or whatever it’s called is really underrated because it can have a crane flatbed and trailer at the same time has cool customisation and has all wheel drive and diff lock so i think it’s one of my favourite trucks to use
The issue with Imandra is simple: A; Missing plower addon to clean up a route through rocks B; Missing option to cut down (maybe at the cost of some fuel, like the radar addon) / break trees (when a skinny tree stops ~50 tons of moving steel makes me laugh) If they add these the game would be much better (harder at first, but can be made convenient with some time investment)
I'm trying to beat each region with only the trucks found in them (apart from a Yar87 used to find one when first starting) on my first play through and realized slow and steady really pays off in the Kola Peninsula.
I run the Ford with the off-road gearbox and with the lift kit with the biggest tires and I've found it to be a pretty good truck for off-road, though deep mud does give it a little trouble sometimes
I think the paystar is overall one of best trucks, certainly one of the most versatile, it very rarely struggles with terrain, and sits high enough with the stock suspension to take the biggest tires it can as well as very rarely bottoming out, although it gets pretty easy to tip with either of the cranes
I prefer to use the combo : small crane, low saddle and side board semi trailer. It offers 5 slots of cargo and better maneuverability. And you have a larger choice of trucks to use.
You can also tow a flatbed trailer or even a ramped flatbed with the winch behind the semi trailer to take up to 9 slots of cargo, its rare to need that but hey, its an option
Yes but it's impossible to reverse. And so far 5 slots at a time were enough for me, I find it more efficient to make several trips than tying to make only one trip and going around the map to pick up all the different materials.
Sometimes I drive two or three trucks to collect what I need and have them meet another truck with a semi trailer and load it onto that, if any doesnt fit ill leave it on the other truck and winch it behind me. Its obviously not something you're gonna do for every contract but its a method to keep in mind at least
I usually take even a 6th item when needed, and put it upon the semi trailer and keep the crane holding on to it. That way i can make 2 missions in one run 👌
On Imandra they have even made getting to the trailer store from the garage a chore & on the Apache, the fact it cannot attach any trailers is shocking for a premium content paid DLC
Thanks a lot for this list. I recently started a play through series. You made me think to get the Freightliner oder Paystar later. Thank you for the tipp.
I'm personally finding MH9500 without AWD easier to drive than Fleetstar with AWD. Everything the GMC needs for me is good tires and that's it. I love that truck!
I was starting to lose my sanity with unlocking the garage in Imandra but after I have the garage as a fallback it's not so bad. Still a pain and the map will punish you for inattention.
I am glad to see another upload. It is always a joy to watch your videos. I would add more explanation points, however my "one" key has been broken for quite some time.
I used to be skeptical of the 73210 because a video highlighted the ground clearance issue but I quickly found out how great it is anyways. It'll hit a rock or the ground and then start right back up again
Exactly, the nose issue is either avoidable or you instantly pick up speed again if a minor bump. With active suspension it's one of the best trucks in SnowRunner. Definitely top three in my mind.
Thanks for another great video. Solid information, as always, delivered in an amusing and professional way (with no smut, unlike some other otherwise good channels - "That's what she said"). I've started from scratch again using all the previous information obtained to make life easy and efficient (eg. Get the survey trailer as soon as possible: Use the the Kulob to recover the lost tanker in Black River etc. ) so this truck comparison was excellent.
Another good point about the GMC 9500mh. You do not need the raised suspension kit to use the max size tire, and since it’s classified as a Highway truck, recover price is cheap compared to the Super Trucks, if playing on Hard Mode.
I did nearly everything in Michigan with the Fleetstar, great Truck! Most delivery Missions done in Alaska with the Paystar and the ASOV in Taymir Zimnegorsk :D For Semi-Pulling i used the White Western and later P12 and 8x8 Derry
I bought the 9000 truck just for the Looks and Fun. I made it a Fueltruck, so i can rest it on Highways as a Drivebl Fuelstation!!! I like the Lake covd. Amandra is the next place i need to explore.... and lake covd is my Favorit, because there is alot of Ice . There is on problem. When drifting on ice to snow it falls, because of to much grip, thats not realistic...
I really like your content, I but wish the game had vehicle names easier to remember. Everytime I watch one of your videos and select a truck I want to test for something special, I have to go back to TH-cam to figure which Azov you were mentioning. Lol. Keep up the good work dude!
my fav. is the AZOV 8x8 because of the low fuel consumption and 8x8 drivetrain...only problem is that you can't atach a trailer when you have a crane...soo dissapointing, but hey, nobody's perfect you know...even the TAIGA king :) p.s. i like all the trucks in this game...that is why i have them all and i drive'em all...last time i was carrying a TUZ166 on my cabin with the AZOV 10x10...GREAT GAME
Freightliner 114sd is highly underrated tbh. Shit lasts forever and pretty much never flips on me. Loves the icy roads too even when hauling 4 metal beams uphill on ice. Power hasn't been an issue for me i just keep it in the lower gears and let er eat
By the way the best thing you can do for unlocking Imandra is taking 2 metal beams and 2 wooden blocks with you from the lake, take it with you into the 2nd map, then all you need is to know the route. For metal beams just follow the main road round until you can cut across the frozen body of water... Around the little wooden pier and up into the drop off. For wooden planks take chained tires and where the garage will follow the road to it's left and take the 1st Right (be careful on the rocks sticking to the left side) deliver 1 wooden block and continue on the road all the way down until you come to a tiny river crossing, this is where you need chained tires because you need to climb a ice hill and then you've unlocked the garage... Might be easier if I just make a video 😂
The Azov 5319 is also a great truck. Although it can't do the triple threat (crane/flatbed/trailer). It's awesome on Imandra. I agree it's a lot easier once you get the garage open. But, it is a frustrating map as there are these pointless stupid sections that are just irritating. They don't require skill and just waste a ton of time. We need a snow plow, back hoe and a chainsaw attachment ... that should solve most problems!
The most frustrating thing in Imandra for me were stones and boulders. I managed to get stuck even the trucks with the biggest tyres like Kolob, Antarctic and TS 6900...
I haven’t attempted the new map yet but it does look like it provides a challenge for those who are up for it. I’m going with Morocco for the country at the end based on the flag on the building on the right side.
Thanks for the video. As for the map, I got so frustrated with it that I only use mods now for all the missions. What's crazy is that even over the top modded vehicles really struggle in places, so I have no idea how you are supposed to do all the missions with stock vehicles. The mission where you have to get the plane to the airport took me several hours to complete and I needed the Arctic XXL mod and the Ural Next truck mod to have any chance of completing it. I agree with others that the balance on this map is off. I hope Canada will be better.
I've been using it Alaska, tamyr, and lake kovd and its been handling all three just fine, i highly recommended only using the wheel sets that only have 2 tires per axle, i can't say if they're better stat wise, but they serve me much better than the 4 tire sets
The loadstar is also a very capable truck once you have its upgrades, mostly found in Alaska, i highly recommend it, its a good scout and very good recovery/repair vehicle, one thing to keep in mind of you use it for that is only the pickup bed carries spare wheels and fuel, the other add on only has parts
last I heard, the devs made the Apache $4 (I always round up). This angered a lot of people. Are you going to post a video talking about this? Imandra was tough. I unlocked the f750 engine, then made runs for the garage. I needed a central base of operations to tackle this map with, or the logistics would hurt my brain.
Yeah, all highway trucks are capable of towing a trailer with both a crane and a bed, including the Transtar (on PC). The most versatile of which is certainly the GMC, because difflock and now AWD. In this case, Freightliner 114SD seems even more weak, cause GMC has all that it has, and weights less, therefore is faster. Without GMC's AWD buying a 114SD seems not that bad... if only it had top engine Westline V6 2350T or Gb-8v 2700T...
Tbh this video has a lot of opinion in it. The fleetstar, paystar and gmc 9500 over the freightliner comes down to preference/what job you're doing and how they're setup. I'd say anything from the freightliner up in the video you should just buy it if you want it and test it for yourselves. If you don't enjoy it you can get all your money back anyways
Yeah it's opinion because there's no wrong answer. All depends how you use them and many other things. But I agree you can just buy and try once you get enough money.
Since Azov needs ranking 20 , after this video I am confused on which to invest to, Paystar or Taygar (I have both). The 1st is the 2nd best do-it-all and the 2nd one does not have crane (I haven't gotten any quest yet that needs it, but it is the best according to previous video that u posted. Also Taygar has amazing 51 inch wheels but Paystar is much more limited. I am rank 4 so maybe I miss a lot so I can judge clearly hehe
@@ATribeCalledCars Today I got AZOV 64131 so I can unlock Quarry and then I did the quest for DAN 96320. I wonder if I should sell one of them in case one of them can do everything better than the other. Thanks :)
for everyone who thinks this map is too difficult...... for scouting tuz tartarin .... and tow a hummer H2 with radar addon xD. first location get to the airfield. and instead of going north you need to go uphill where the fuel trailer / mmonument is. ive got an epic picture of the tartarin pulling a hummer to the top. also never ever send just 1 truck :P. move in pairs with the winch technique. and place some maintenance / fuel trailers and alls ez pz
@@ATribeCalledCars me too. I was going to do broken power station with it but I tipped over. But luckily today I finally unlocked the garage with a voron ae4380 and an f750.
Maybe you're from the era when 7321's not used to get stuck into every small bump. It's been resolved in patch 6 or 7. It's now the most OP thing in snowrunner.
This is a beginner question, but what is the purpose of the crane? Is it just if you want to do manual loading/unloading? Or does it serve other purpose. I only am on Zone 2 of the first region so Mabey it comes into play later in the game more often?
I've found it helpful in Alaska and lake kovd with its chain tires, especially in kovd though, i use it as a bigger scout, the medium advanced winch is super helpful with its relatively small size and weigh to get to particularly hard to reach spots
I can do everything with the belo4fed Lo4F! Nah, just kidding. I use whatever truck I THINK is useful for a given task (which works out 42% of the time). Everyone else just uses the Tyga King. Oh wait, it wasn't even on this list! ^_^
I found the Pacific P12 to be pretty unstoppable on Immandra, occasionally its sheer size can be a touch annoying but definetly worth it to put up with it for its stability and good offroad towing potential
Well your going to need both truck with and without chains since your going across ALOT of ice and ALOT of mud so have 2 trucks pulling eachother and swap around when needed.
Having huge issue with hauling metal beams on either Yukon maps. Tried tons of different vehicles. All so far feel like or require diff lock low gear crawl speed only, except on the rare paved roads. Please help. Core/stock game only. I'm on PS4. Thanks!
no mud tires not a probem. may tip over tho. im level 6 and my truck is.ksr58 bandit. without it this game is hell. it took forever to get a good truck the othere are useless. bit of mud and its game over. and then i got to the snow level ow my god. just why. sorry bandit i need you again. snow level go. scout see what my bandit has to do here. im stuck sorry. fuck sake, bandit you now the scout and the heavy truck good luck. 3 days later i have opened up the map made a bunch of cash and it dont need upgrades. but its a bit tipsy. dlc damn lovely content.
the snowrunner and mudrunner drivers are demi-gods with powers only limited to what vehicle they are in, teleporting vehicles to garage? restoring cranes? self packing cargo? running a operation all by himself? no way man.
Imma wait to get the much better Ginaf trucks Russians make the least capable trucks in the eastern side "of the pond" the dutch and Belgium make the best trucks

and instead of going north you need to go uphill where the fuel trailer / mmonument is. ive got an epic picture of the tartarin pulling a hummer to the top.
also never ever send just 1 truck :P. move in pairs with the winch technique. and place some maintenance / fuel trailers and alls ez pz
If the 10x10 got raised suspension, it would be the only truck I need.
The problem with the freightliner is that is sometimes tippy.
Yeah good point, learnt that the hard way.
@@ATribeCalledCars me too. I was going to do broken power station with it but I tipped over. But luckily today I finally unlocked the garage with a voron ae4380 and an f750.
Could you do A video on the best vehicles for A no spend run? As in not buying any parts, just relying on stuff you find.
This sounds like it would need some thought! Cool idea.
Make sure you test the p12 with chained tires
Never used the 7321, may give a go
Maybe you're from the era when 7321's not used to get stuck into every small bump. It's been resolved in patch 6 or 7. It's now the most OP thing in snowrunner.
I'm usually in the voron grad white western star yar or international scout
I have spent over 12 hours trying to get the garage. So an hard
What truck would you choose if you have to play the whole game with 1 truck and also best trucks for different regions ?
Probably the Azov 73210 or Kenworth 963. I do a best trucks video for most seasons, worth checking out :)
Can you do the Chevy Apache 6x6
Hey, it's not lazy it's efficient.
Work smart, not hard right?
One of my armored cars is glitch inside the wall in the little ice area. Idk what I do
You may need to restart the mission
This is a beginner question, but what is the purpose of the crane? Is it just if you want to do manual loading/unloading? Or does it serve other purpose. I only am on Zone 2 of the first region so Mabey it comes into play later in the game more often?
Manual unloading, carrying an extra slot of cargo, rescues and jousting in co-op. Cranes aren't massively necessary, except in a few select cases.
Wonder if they’ll add tracked vehicles
I can only hope.
A Tribe Called Cars that’s amazing that you reply to your commenters. I appreciate that.
4Y later, the mastodon is king. The Zikz 612H
Don’t believe zisk has mud tires either and is an off-road truck
I've found it helpful in Alaska and lake kovd with its chain tires, especially in kovd though, i use it as a bigger scout, the medium advanced winch is super helpful with its relatively small size and weigh to get to particularly hard to reach spots
Honest question. What's the point of being able to pull crane, bed and trailer if the engine lacks power?
For self-inflicted pain.
73210 is like a demi-god.
Great video! 👍.
Apache is out boys,go to the store and it’s 3.99 usd
Could you tell me why the most guys i See use the flatbed and Not the other one?
They should add dollys
My guess for the country would be Turkey
Bolivia at the end ? That the country...?
I can do everything with the belo4fed Lo4F!
Nah, just kidding. I use whatever truck I THINK is useful for a given task (which works out 42% of the time). Everyone else just uses the Tyga King. Oh wait, it wasn't even on this list! ^_^
mr. Lone Wolf's agent detected
I found the Pacific P12 to be pretty unstoppable on Immandra, occasionally its sheer size can be a touch annoying but definetly worth it to put up with it for its stability and good offroad towing potential
i had it tip over multiple times
I like the big kolobs for that same reason, great towtrucks and can push their way through a lot too.
I wasn’t really paying attention, but you say Do Not Use chains??
Well your going to need both truck with and without chains since your going across ALOT of ice and ALOT of mud so have 2 trucks pulling eachother and swap around when needed.
Having huge issue with hauling metal beams on either Yukon maps. Tried tons of different vehicles. All so far feel like or require diff lock low gear crawl speed only, except on the rare paved roads. Please help. Core/stock game only. I'm on PS4. Thanks!
What trucks and tyres have you tried?
I know I'm incredibly late but I used KOLOB 74760 with the 8 slot trailer for metal beams.
What about the Bandit?
This was before it existed, the Bandit would definitely feature if I did this round-up again.
@@ATribeCalledCars fair enough, luv ur videos, been binge watching them since I found ur channel last week
no mud tires not a probem. may tip over tho. im level 6 and my truck is.ksr58 bandit. without it this game is hell. it took forever to get a good truck the othere are useless. bit of mud and its game over. and then i got to the snow level ow my god. just why. sorry bandit i need you again. snow level go. scout see what my bandit has to do here. im stuck sorry. fuck sake, bandit you now the scout and the heavy truck good luck. 3 days later i have opened up the map made a bunch of cash and it dont need upgrades. but its a bit tipsy. dlc damn lovely content.
Ah yes, the flatboard bed
It's a hybrid.
Hehe.. Complaining about Imandra... Oh you sweet summer child...
Why is Imander soooooo hard.... also does anyone know when console mods are coming
In this class the Freightliner 114SD is my favorite.
Come on, where is my Chevrolet apache 6X6 video
That's tomorrow. I was finishing off another video today so didn't get time, but it's coming!
@@ATribeCalledCars Thanks Ben :)
10x10 azov sucks in swamp/ Deepwater mud though
Why don't the international HX520 get more fame that thing is evil
I think this video pre-dated it, but it is a great truck for most tasks!
LIKES FOR THE LIKE THRONE!
COMMENTS FOR THE ALGORITHM GODS!
FOR CONTENT!
the snowrunner and mudrunner drivers are demi-gods with powers only limited to what vehicle they are in, teleporting vehicles to garage? restoring cranes? self packing cargo? running a operation all by himself? no way man.
Its over 9000 thousand
Im a banana and im back!
Hooray, I'd been waiting.
Do you play on Xbox?
Yes!
A Tribe Called Cars Yay!
We all know it is royalbm17
