I collect amiibo cards, as my set completion rises so does the overall value of my collection. I swear by top loaders and team bags. Been doing that for many years, since humidity and dust is a struggle. As shown in the video, I didn’t like how the team bags fit in the card boxes. I ended up getting a super nice scrap booking box from the craft store and added my own dividers, it’s an awesome alternative.
I still give them sleeves in that situation, but only if they’re cheap and sets. In my experience, binders frankly suck when it comes to preserving cards.
On toploaders I often just out a piece of painters tape so that it gets pinches closed and less dust gets in. Some people will also use what's called team bags. Hope this helps

@@jordanclarke3170 I'm not convinced binders will ruin your cards so long as there aren't too many pages in them and you use common sense when handling them and putting the binder away. I'm using side-loaded pocket pages and a D-ring binder.
I live in the middle of the forrest so I definitely need to store my top-loaded cards into team bags because there is so much dust and silt. But the micro dust still always seems to find away in.Awsome video. New subscriber here.
Appreciate you smashing the sub button. And yes, it feels like no matter where you live, little dust particles will get in bo matter what. Just an unfortunate reality. The boxes definitely do help though!
@@redcapesports Yeah I smashed that like button so hard I think I might have broke it. Lol. Yeah I'm about 50 miles east of sacramento and there is two card shops inbetween me and the bay area. Well scratch that figure because out of those two, one is online but for some reason continue to advertise an empty building. We got crap for selection in these here parts. I really like to spread my hard earned dollar to as many small mom and pop stores that i can. I try my very best to stay out of walmart but that is basically my card selection. Pitiful utterly pitiful. Anyway thanks again for the reply sir. I plan on being a regular on your channel so keep that great advice and those supwe videos coming. Goodnight.
Hello. Can any one tell me when PSA allows 60/40 centering on the front of a PSA Gem 10 card? I've looked at hundreds of cards now from the early 80's to the present and couldn't find a card with worse than 55/45 centering in either direction on the front. This is in spite of the fact that PSA says in their grading description on their web site that the front centering standard is, "not to exceed approximately 55/45 to 60/40 percent on front.
Uhm no.. wear gloves as your oils get on the print.. and just the way u handle it is all wrong!. Your hands look sweaty too.. I would never buy a card from you
The only way to do it is to Penny sleeve EVERY card and store them in 800 count boxes and put them in an 800-count-box shelving unit in a cool dry temperature controlled room and put a few moisture satchels in the cupboard where u store the shelving unit. Oh, and make sure you always have clean fingernails. And never-ever touch ANY card (no matter the value) with a hand that is not gloved. If u think that is all too much trouble, you're in the wrong hobby if u want to make money.
Thank you for the tips on how you store cards that you were trying to grade
“There’s nothing worse than having bad cards.” 😂
*bad cards that you overpaid for
cheap ones, I'm ok with them
I keep my sets in binders. The sets are safer in my opinion since I don’t mess with the binder almost ever.
The binder issue is solved if you put your cards in penny sleeves. I've never had a card get damaged in a binder.
Definitely a good fix
Recently got back into the sport's card's collecting game, any advice?
Robert Hill ...Kobe Bryant Rookie Topps 1996 and or Lebron 2003 city heights
The last box of storage is the way to go. I have been doing it that way for the past few years.

Is it advisable to use the ultrapro 9 pocket page then kept in a ultra pro ring binders. What are the pros and cons? Thanks man. Cheers

What bags do you put on your toploaders.

I put sleeves on my cards and put them in a shoe box with a divider separating the different cards, I label it with the pack I got them in
Interesting!
That is really helpful thanks alot

I se all these methods. Although I've had some issues with binders.
Thanks for this informative video my friend
Thanks for watching!
If u put the cards inside the cardboard storages, will it cause damage to the card if u put it too tight? Even with top loader?
It can. I've had photo cards stick together. And if you take them out frequently the corners get dinged. I use those box's for mostly commons.
Great video, learned some good stuff here.Just subscribed!

You start organizing yet?

Are card savers/semi-rigids good for long term storage compared to toploaders?
Absolutely not - Mitch
