Glad you did that I've had a leak for a long time and that pump looked a little intimidating was worried about messing it up those suckered are expensive
Your mechanical experience is gaining an international flavor LOL. Wonder if Oliver mechanics that went to service school for Fiat versions were given a colorful vocabulary of Italian cuss words? Glad you got the critter going.
I’m sure they had some training on them but boy it seems like everyone kind of shut them out of their mind. I’ve had to pretty well learn everything by doing 🤣 thanks Don!
Other than time consuming, this looks to be a rather easy fix. Hopefully it will last a long time. Thanks for the information on the pump and I will see you soon.
9 dollars could save alot of fuel in a years time ,and I hate leaks . I know how ya feel this time of year just the dog days of summer iam glad I've not been as busy as last year I was wore out last year when harvest started . You got lots of things two tractors with heads off your old car , plus all the other stuff n might whitey has a sore foot those will make you about scream to bye those rubbers , been mowing with the 185 white I worked on doing rather well big old Cummings rumbles. From turkey creek farms be safe n thankful
I wanted to know what would try to stay connected on the top cover of the CAV pump of our Massey Ferguson 35, which is ejecting primer pump pressure from the back end of the top gasket, all over the left footplate! Your channel looked the most likeminded and friendly... It was both those things AND really helpful! Big thank you from sunny (now rainy) Essex, UK 🙏
Some sweet day I need to pull my dad's 66 series 2 hydraulic unit apart to replace the o rings so it stops leaking oil out by the levers. Hopefully, that isn't too much sadness but by that point might as well go through the pump
3 Metric adjustable wrenches up. A CAV pump is basically a copy of (or maybe the grandfather of) the RoosaMaster pump. Both could be worked on on the tailboard of the service truck and made to work when put back on the tractor. Maybe we can get Vito up in Chicago to find you a real Italian gal fresh from Italia. But then we would never see a video again due to you being too busy.
@@rosstheoliverman keep them coming Ross , you make me laugh Look behind you you might see me looking over your shoulder . Kidding. But that is how I feel watching your videos
OK , 🤨 I see it. Do you see IT ? A short spring goes to the throttle eye from the fuel shutoff eye BEND that throttle rod so it don't contact the nut . Great fix it video Thanks
Another leaky pain in the butt design (?) used by Fiat. That faster idle may be because you have better fuel pressure, aka no leak? If your having the summer blues and feeling tired; maybe you have a case of pre-harvest depression? Also, as usual your local Dove is in full voice. Do you have a hunting season there for Doves; they are small but tasty.
What we know is smartphones are everywhere and they are rich in data. What we know is that there are apps once downloaded by the consumer that will also in turn download the consumers' contact book. Most consumers don't want that to happen and don't know it's happening kackle kackle
Ross you reminded me of an old Dire Strait lyric "money for nothing and your chicks for free" you got a luv those Italian ladies.
🤣🤣🤣
And I love watching your shows Ross
Thanks Jeremy!
Ross looks like you did a fine job getting the leaks to stop 👍🤞 looks to me like you're in 💘 with the Italian tractors. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Thanks Michael
Thanks Michael!

It’s not too bad as long as you take your time and make sure you don’t lose anything.
Thank you very much for sharing your projects! You and Chris do a great job keeping the Olivers going!
Thanks Doug!
Small fixes are usually the largest accomplishments, at least that's what I've learned over the years. Great video as always, cheers :)
Thanks!!

To heck with those Alfredo burning tractors!
Fix your Grandpa's 1655!!!!!
Hopefully soon. That’s gonna take some cash.
You have too many Italian women. One faithful one is all you need. One with red hair(way more feisty), aka Cockshutt.
🤣🤣 Thanks for the laughs Ross👍I'm always watching not always comming up with a comment tho, my brain is kinda slow sometimes too.
🤣🤣🤣Thanks!!
Thank you! Very helpful.

Nice job Ross, i had to do that to mine too
Thanks!
Well, that didn't go too bad! Hopefully it won't leak! 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞
Thanks Charlie!
That doesn't look like too bad of a job. I can send my stuff to you now.
I’m here all week
thank you verry much
She’s Italian, going to be feisty lol
Working on equipment this time of the year you become a blood bank for mosquitoes and other pestie bugs .
But she sure is sweet!
You should make sure you get the spring in the same place as it was or it will not throttle up or down.
Same thing I was thinking, happened to me, one hole off and it will change the idle.
That’s why I took it out of the other end and didn’t unhook it inside the cover
@@rosstheoliverman There are 3 different holes in the cover and 3 in the bottom i note it before taking it out.
Ross is there such a thing as a metric cotter pin?
It sure sounds good doesn’t it? 🤣🤣🤣
Did back idle bolt bolt
It seemed to be adjusted correctly.
Some sweet day I need to pull my dad's 66 series 2 hydraulic unit apart to replace the o rings so it stops leaking oil out by the levers. Hopefully, that isn't too much sadness but by that point might as well go through the pump
Don’t worry, there will be sadness 🤣🤣🤣

How many Oliver 70 single front wheels were made. Bought one today
I’m not sure that the numbers exist for that. The records before the supers are kind of sketchy
Are you going to try and pick up one of those Lamborghini tractors next? That would make for a right smart stable of the Italian ladies.
🤣 that would be cool! I bought my super 55 from a guy who had a Porsche tractor. I think that would be neat to have too
School started already?? Thought it was three months not three weeks!!
Back in the day, school was out before Memorial Day and did not go back in session till after Labor Day.
Seems like they’re starting earlier every year!
More better!!
Thanks John!
Did you ever get the handyman tractor running ? I been wondering. I know it wasn't playing nice
Not yet. It’s lucky I walked away 🤣🤣🤣
Drip, Drip, Drip of Dieselria!:)
🤣

The right pliers might help
Yeah, I need to get my red pliers out again I think they’re still in the 4-180

The Trailer park is full of those Dark haired ladies holding out their pots looking for the Rieckers Gruel . Daglielo, ragazzo innamorato .See
🤣🤣🤣
OK , 🤨 I see it. Do you see IT ? A short spring goes to the throttle eye from the fuel shutoff eye BEND that throttle rod so it don't contact the nut . Great fix it video Thanks
Yeah, that’s why I rotated the bracket on top of the starter. It keeps that rod from hitting the nut.

Case pressure is a real issue. It helps fill the injection head plungers.
This Italian has nothing but green hair.
🤣🤣🤣

Thanks Tom!
Somehow I’m not sure it’s the dark haired lady’s. I suspect it’s the meatballs.
