Just got my RC 6” lift installed today on my 2014 Platinum but currently running the spacers in the front and the n3s in the rear. Waiting till I pay this off to upgrade to better shocks but will be using this video as reference for installation. Thank you so much for this! Love your channel!
Just installed these same shocks on my 2016 tundra, replacing the pro comp shocks I installed 3 years ago. Thank you so much, I did not know how to place the washer and grommet. Your video made the difference.
After watching a few of your videos, subbed! Great content. I have a 18 crewmax. Love my tundra. It’s just a stock trd off-road 4x4. Gotta support a fellow tundra bro 👊🏾🤘🏾 keep that great content coming brougham
Thanks for checking out the video! I'm glad that it was helpful! Yes, my shocks came with the hardware (discs and grommets) to install them. Most shocks ARE sold with the installation hardware. If you're pulling used shocks from another vehicle, you should take the discs and grommets from that vehicle too. Did your shocks not come with installation hardware?
@@toyotaFANatic81 no mine didn’t come with them. I have the eibach pro truck and it’s instructed to reuse the old bushings but I feel like I’d rather get new ones
Great video! I have the BDS 7 in lift on mine. When you shop for your shocks is it the same as factory or you are looking for something to accommodate the 7in lift? Ps I bought my truck already lift so I am learning with you my brother. Thank for all your video have been very helpful and entertaining.
Thanks, man! The R.C. shocks that I bought work for Tundras with 4" to 8" lifts. I would expect BDS to have shocks and struts for trucks with 7" lifts. Check out their website. Thanks for supporting the channel, Bro!! 👈🏾👊🏾👍🏾
Thanks again real appreciate your time I am going to get some from BDS hopefully they ride as good as yours. Keep up the good work I am learning with you. 🙏🏽
Icon is a GREAT brand for suspension components, including shocks. If your icon shocks are old (or leaking), and they need to be replaced, then definitely change them out. You can use the link in my video to purchase the V2 shocks. If they're still good, I'd leave them on the truck. Even though it doesn't necessarily help me (or the channel) to say this, ICON is a good brand.
Did the same shocks on the rear, and had a shop do the M1s 3.5s on the front. Huge difference. Worth every penny.
Nice work, Man!!
I'm happy with these rear shocks and I'll be doing the front struts myself next month.
