I was so impressed by my tundras atrac. After coming over from a locked Tacoma I was a little worried how the full size would do but damn these trucks rip.
Nice! Last October I bought an ‘08 tundra double cab with 128k miles and the 5.7. I added 2.5” Icon stage 3 shocks all the way around with 35” K02’s, Icon 17” wheels +25 offset, SPC adjustable UCA’s (very little rubbing), custom built sliders by a local welding shop, skid plated everything, apex rapid deflators, and dumped the exhaust before the axle. Going to do a camper shell for solo camping, bumpers and a winch, lights, and regear to 4.88’s with an electric rear locker so I can run 37’s if I want to in the future, mine came with 4.10’s from the factory. I’m in Fort Worth. What have you done and what are your plans for the future with your’s? My son and I did Merus Adventure Park last February and Crown King Az in mid July. Plan to go to Big Bend or New Mexico this winter or next.
5:26 heard a nasty scrape on the sequoia what did he hit on? Lol. Looks like a really fun time we don’t have technical trails like this around here just a lot of muddy forest trails pretty easy going. Cool vid that tundra had no problem!
Great video man! Just got a ‘14 Tundra 4WD that I’ll be using to tow my RV and drive out to South Padre (beach access 6). Would love to go check out Hidden Falls one of these days. 👍
That was really cool, my son and I liked the video. Now he asks me over and over "can we go there with our Tundra". Good work on the video and driving. All of you.
Great video, as always. We were up there the weekend after you shot this and wheeled with your friends from the Valley. Maybe next time we'll see you out there. Merry Christmas from Portland, Tx.
Stupid question, never done this before. What if you get to this point and think "im in over my head". Do you turn around? Are all these trails a one way street? That would be my biggest concern. I want to do it but im worried I'll get to something that I dont think I can do and then ruin someone elses day trying to find my way out.
Is ATRAC as good as lockers? No, but it works almost as well. The ABS pulses individual brake calipers extremely fast. The Tundra makes perfect 11's with an open differential. I need new tires this fall, I've been waiting some time to do a couple of burnouts. Lol!
You've gotta know how to give the ATRAC system good data so it can do its thing. Consistent throttle, lower RPMs, don't panic when you feel the wheel braking and it will do its thing.
Sweet video man, looked like a fun day! I really like how you showed both angles on that hill climb. Are you guys planning on sliders? Also what were you guys aired down to?
Is this the best thing you have to do with your time and money? Go out in the country and tear up a decent dependable vehicle and tear up the landscape? I drive Toyotas as well but do not needlessly beat the crap out of them. I drive them in a fashion the will get the most longevity I can out of them. And the most economy. I appreciate the fact they are well built and will last a long time if they're taken care of. Please do something that makes sense for our environment and for yourselves as well. Doing this is not very bright, gentlemen. It's a waste of natural resources and your time and money. Go out and enjoy the country but in a less harmful way. Take a book. Or a fishing pole. Love you guys.
Its fun as hell, at the end of our life we’re gonna remember the times we were wheeling with buddies. Its an offroad park, it keeps people from actually going to the non designated countryside and tearing it up. “Doing this isint very bright gentlemen” lol nobody fucking asked for your opinion on how we should entertain ourselves. “Take a book” to the fucking countryside? Fishingpole ? Bro how do you make love to your wife at night? Ffs, I hate you.
Youre on the wrong page to make this argument silly. This is an overlanding channel for overlanders. And ill keep my fishing pole and books safe and sound in the back of my 4x4 as i drive up to a mountain lake. Have fun walking there lmao ill keep the fire on for you🤡
Seriously? Dude is out there enjoying nature not bothering anyone giving his son memories that will last longer than the truck. If he wants to spend money to have great memories with his kid then let him be. Psychopath
Loved it son! Keep inspiring others to get out and explore. In a few years Ezra will be in the driver’s seat ☺️
Thanks dad :)
Yes Sir , time past very fast .
congratulations you got great kid and a grandson. merry Christmas from North Texas. Luke 2:11

The tree driver is still green and those spotters are very helpful.
You and your son are awesome, I like your Tundra and your tent on it. Good Job brother, my 4 sons and I like your videos. 🤠😎 TEXAS
Wow thank you Ramiro!!🙏 Tell your sons hi 👋🏼
I’d say the tundra with A-trac did better than any of the other rigs. Impressive.
Can't wait to make a trip out there! Looks like the Tundra did awesome. Waiting for the review on that hardshell tent!
I definitely need to do a walk around 👍🏼
I love that you take your son on these trips. If ever I have kids, I would want to do the same. 👍
Thanks Gabriel! Definitely important to show them the importance of the outdoors👌🏼
Making good memories w your boy. Maybe consider some rock sliders/armor. Cheap insurance from expensive damages. Thanks for posting 👍
The jeep guy were amazed 🤣🤣
Enjoyed it.
Tundra & Sequoia, wheelin' 🤘

Nice video. It’s always the rear differential that takes the beating. Need that protection.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Years from Austin TX. Cheers!

That sure is one pretty Sequoia.
You’re dang right boy

Hey!!! I recognize those trails! I ride my dirtbike there
Woow the sequoia and tundra just woow.
Amazing.
Love to see it. Just picked up a tundra myself coming from the 4Runner platform, so excited to build it out.
Did you go through trails on 2wd or did you switch to 4H?
Were you in 4LO trying to get up on that steep hill?

Is A-TRC in 4WD (4H or 4L) mode managed both brake and engine throttle or just brake only ?
Always great videos 👊🏼👏🏼
Thanks Gabe!!
Toyota trucks rule!!! 💪
Great video!
Thank you!!
What type, size wheel and tires and lift are you running?
Damn i got scared for ur buddy and his car near the edge lol
Great video! Are you gonna put rock sliders on the tundra?
Thanks bro! Definitely will before bumpers
Another great video, keep it up!
Thank you🙏
More of that Sequoia!!

Thanks!! Just got bumpers and sliders installed this week😎
@@OverlandNomad Nice! what brand did you go with? and steel or alum on the skids?
@@oversizedoverlanding2365 custom made by a buddy of mine. Steel 👍🏼 I posted a little video on my Instagram💪🏼
Do you think a non-lifted tundra- with bilstein 5100's set to the highest setting, could make these trails?
Pick the right lines and be smart with Your throttle, I don't see why not.
Just need some better tires on the cars it be more grip n feel better too... nice video im getting a tundra.
We should all meet up at hidden falls, I got a 2011 tundra and a 2015 4Runner both I haven’t taken off road yet 😢
Is this a group? Would love to join yall in my new tacoma and try out some trails
How many miles is on your Tundra now?
You can camp at the park??
What's your next adventure. I want to join you guys 🙏
A little more speed at 5:49 and that hill would been cake
How much did you pay for your roof tent
What trd wheels do you have on the truck?
Off of a 2018ish tundra trd pro
@@OverlandNomad thanks! I think that’s the best looking wheel on these trucks. I’m hoping to find a set for my 2020
@@apapay01 that’s the reason why I bought them. I specifically wanted an OEM wheel and those were sweet
What are the names of the trails?
3.o gang rebuilds ?
Sadly, I don’t think so Frank
