I love those small quality-of-life addons by Kushiro, like Simple Bend, Bend Face, Slide Edge etc. Thanks for the video - I learned some controll options, I didn't know before!
Another great addon and clear video. Thanks! A little off-topic but I would pay money for an addon that locked scale to 1! I never use except to set it back to 1. Q (quick favs) > scale is almost muscle memory now. I'm sure my Q key will wear out first. Maybe a button to grey it out in the N panel. I'm amazed no-one's done it.
It's really useful when you want to preserve scale in a non destructive way. You can always scale everything together in edit mode, this way you avoid non uniform scale problems 😊
Auto Apply Transform Add-On For Blender 2.8 by Arsides 3DArs (Gumroad - Free). It still works in 4.1. Location rotation and scale each have checkboxes. When enabled its like nothing ever happened. Every now and then i need to batch a bunch of stuff and its handy for that. So far i havent forgotten to turn it off for fear of getting fk'd on my rotation location
You can use key frames from what I have heard. But if it's an extreme bend I believe that key frames work by giving each vertex a straight route so I don't think it would look perfect.
Very ironic I was just revisiting animall to tweak shape key animations.. I forgot about this. A while back I went on shopping bender with his addons and use some more than others.
@@ArtisansofVaul . The shape keys animation basically replays using the tool. The C key is crucial. Have you covered the grid modeler? KushiroTools dovetail nicely with Machin3, HOps... QOL for hard surface.
@fergadelics I haven't had a chance to do a video on grid modeller yet. It's on the lost of things to do. I was under the impression the shape key just translated the vertices from point to point by a straight line, not actually replay the movement of the tool...
@@ArtisansofVaul whoops. I was just doing gentle corrections with my stuff and the only extreme bends were with elongated cubes. With non squared shapes and cylinders it budges on the bend and non of the modes make a difference. So I’ve been telling lies.
@@ArtisansofVaul Yes, it's available on Blender Market for 12$. It's like the spin tool and the shear tool together, but much better. The selection process is a little bit tedious. You have to select the face, then select the edge you want to spin around. Arrows appear and you can select the direction you want to spin around and if you want to add one segment for a sharp edge (shear) or up to 16 to get a rounded angle. Aaand... You make it destructive with space. 😁😎
For this tool you don't need a vertex group, that's what is great. Just select what you want to bend and use the tool (I was going through it fast as its a pain and only needed with blender without the addon)
@@deaultusername There is probably a calculation you could do but if the object isn't really complicated for an exact measurement like that I would probably use the spin tool. I have a couple of videos on that.

Watching this imagining how much easier my life just became - excellent video 👌
And thats exactly the response I hope for 😁😁😁
Artisans of Vaul you are the master at providing useful information, about amazing add ons, in such a concise way. Thank you. 🙏
😁 That's lovely to hear. Thanks so much 😁😁😁
seems very functional 'for' tubular objects!
Totally!

@fergadelics oh awesome! Well done and thanks for letting everyone know 😁👌🏼
And those check boxes are in the N-Panel. Otherwise I think it would be too dangerous
Wow, this is incredible. Payday cannot get here fast enough lol
@emmamarx9284 😁👍🏻 Thanks so much. Glad you liked it
Im going to watch your vids tell i feel like ive downloaded blender in my brain.

I'm sure you have already seen it, but I love KushiroCG's Loop Copier.
I haven't tried the loop copier yet. I love the mesh copier tool though!
@@ArtisansofVaul Yeah it is a nice one. I think I asked a while ago on an old tutorial if you ever made one for mesh copier like you said you would.

The video and the addon brought by Jesus Christ himself😂 I needed this so much for my current project, thabks a lot!
My pleasure and glad its going to be useful! 😁
This looks like bit could do bended shapes on cars very well too, like quarter panels and things like that.
Hmm... I can't say I know enough about cars to confirm that 😅 But thanks for putting forward that use for people on the lookout 😁👍🏻
lifes aver, anda usefull great video again!
😁 Thanks

I haven't used this with shape keys as an animation... does the flexing look "right" using shape keys and keep the circular type motion?

anyway to but a known radius in it rather that freeform
