I've been trying to learn the rhythm on Torn between..Jesus christ.... You guys are insanely talented. Matt, I can't imagine playing lead on tempo AND singing at the same time🤯(No discredit to Paolo, Corey and Alex they are beasts too) Please keep blessing us with these bangers! 🤟🤟
Had this down it for a few years now. Do it everyday with vocals and it becomes easier and easier. Try it! Nothing is impossible. If Matt can do it, so can you!
This is always a fascinating perspective. You can see Corey shredding the soul out of these legenderies songs. Shogun is such a complete album and a Milestone for metal in general. ❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉 High-school swimming pool memories 2007 always come to my mind. Congrats for such a legacy. Greetings from El Paso Texas and Juarez Chihuahua. I saw you on a little theater on downtown 2018. Now that theater is a baptist Church.
Matt needs to sing with that screaming enthusiasm again! I know he's got new vocal routines to save his voice, but man you're in a metal band, we wanna hear it like it's on the album!!
And that's how he blew his voice out to begin with. I have a very similar baritone voice down to how we talk. I've sung along with Shogun from start to finish. My throat was jacked the next day. All day. It's just not sustainable. Same thing happened with Matt from Avenged. There is absolutely no rasp in his voice at all that isn't studio magic now.
@@OzzyMandias-xl2hr happens when you get older. Look how bad Hetfield sounds now. I turned down seeing Metallica for free because James voice sounds so off now. I would still go see Trivium.
@@rolandomujica7176he messed up his shoulder or arm I think saw them in jan of last year he was fine saw them again in the September he was playing on a bass stand
Why Trivium aren't selling out arenas and headlining Download etc, I'll never know. Saw them last November and they were fucking fantastic. Been a fan for 20 years and they're slaying it still 🤘🤘
Still sucks matt just wont sing like it is in the albums with the grit in his voice. The soft singing just isn’t the same. His screams are on point though
I do wish there was more grit and power and less head voice in the clean singing. It lacks power and presence. The screams are bearable with the new style, just need something extra back in the cleans.
@@Siolarty19he uses his new technique live. As tight as the band plays, the singing is not on point unfortuantly. But, I have faith that he'll find a way and recover someday.
This is the best Matt's scream has sounded in ages. Sounds almost maniacal. Would be better to have better angles and mixes for these. Awesome nonethless
I love to see a band of this caliber still getting together and practicing. That's why they always sound amazing.
I thought the exact same thing! I mean I feel that nowadays many bands are not ''bands'' anymore...
this is fake

SICK, Shogun is one of the best metal albums of all time.
I still remember the day it came out, I cant believe its been 15 years.
Same mate, I got the deluxe edition on day 1 and remember watching the DVD that came with it. Great memories
Better times for sure
How Alex looks so relaxed while beating those drums like they owe him money is an amazing skill.
The synched screaming with Corey sounds really good.
Just heard Paulo’s harmonies too, can’t leave him out.
Paolo's harmonies sounding sick, and of course Alex is an absolute machine
Both songs should be played more often. Both are brilliant. Kurisute Gomen is one of my top 3 Trivium Tracks ever.
2008 was so special for me! Shogun, We are the nightmare, The way of all flesh....

You guys remember the net once said the verse "Would you like to buy a fridge?" for Kirisute Gomen. 😂
These were the two songs my uncle showed me to introduce me to Trivium!!! Still two of my favorites
Uploading this when I have a sore throat and can't scream along is criminal, but we will take it! Sounding killer guys!
Nice to see them play oldskool songs 🤘🏾
Alex has taken this song to the next level.. Gotta throw it back in the set list next tour
PQP, que nostalgia ter visto Trivium na minha cidade e de quebra na tour de um dos melhores álbuns já produzidos. Adoro Kirisute Gomen.
Love Scylla & Charybdis 👌 great song
They're so f*cking talented!!!
Torn Between is one of my absolute favorites from you guys. I love how all the strings have time to shine.

He does that intentionally to preserve his voice for concerts and studio recordings.

Johnny sins on bass

Really not enjoying the clean vocals Matt has been doing. Kills the aggression of the song for me, did he blow his voice?
Seems like he’s had to do it this way over the last few years
I miss the aggressive singing Matt used to do... it's just lost a bit of its edge.
He blew his voice out much like James Hetfield.
