I remember buying The Crusade upon release and loving it, the whole album goes hard. Was it different to Ascendancy and Ember? Absolutely... but it just showed, that even back then, trivium could do so many variations of their own sound, build on it and expand, and be excellent at each avenue.
I remember hating it... Didn't really appreciate it until a couple listens later, but this song is up there as one of their best. So good. Once I really listened and really heard paolos solo... I got it and got the whole album. First couple listens, I was almost offended because of how good the first two were.
New drummer really improved the get up and go...wish Trivium would do an album without any slow parts...not in reference to black metal...but more like a constant high gear tempo.
I've tried so hard to get into Trivum over the years. I have so much respect for the drummer but the 80ies clean metal vocals just seem so out dated. I'll keep trying!
I feel the same way about Mastadon. I have actually spent money to see them twice and I really want to like them. I have some friends and family that swear by them but they just annoy the fuck out of me. Some bands just do that to you. What can you do man.
Damn Alex is a sick drummer
wish we could hear paolo's solo more, anyway great song!
this song will never gets old
I love when my favorite musicians/bands wear the merch of some of my other favorite bands. EG Paolo wearing that Khemmis shirt!!! LET'S GOO
Pure excellence!
Def need to turn Paolo up. I Wanna hear his solo
Brutal! Unreal drumming.
Esta cancion es tan buena y Alex la perfecciona con su estilo y forma de tocar la bateria

It was over-hated for sure. It's not a perfect album, but it's got some absolute bangers.

All hail Trivium! This is amazing….takes me back 🥰
Awesome that Paolo is doing his solo which I'd love to see live. Keep these Hangar jams coming!
my favorite song by Trivium🙏
🐲
Whole band are superb but I gotta give some extra props to Alex. Dude consistently puts on a clinic.
This song always felt like it belonged on Shogun
Legendary.
Vocês estão cada vez melhores ao vivo! Come to Brazil 🇧🇷
We want Alex, like forever.
Corey needs some water and a treadmill. 🥵

This album gets me thru the BS.

I think for a live setting, Matt plays it safe to preserve the voice box. On the records he goes absolutely ham
@@Just_B He does that without a doubt. He has almost ended his career as a singer multiple times so he is super disciplined with it now.
Yes! Same here. I have friends who are obsessed with Mastadon and I just scratch my head when I listen to them. I don't get it. @@joe2271
Awesome drummer, instrumental part too good, but what with the vocals? Maybe they should find lead singer?
