Wow Stoozer, what a tough climb and a beautiful view from the top. It's always great to watch your videos. Unfortunately it's only a short comment from me. I broke my collarbone on Saturday and writing with my left hand is very difficult for me. Thanks for sharing and have a great week my friend

Oh man I am so sorry to hear that Christoph. I sincerely hope you make a quick recovery my friend. I hope all is OK otherwise. I'm absolutely gutted for you. Crack open a bottle of Whisky to dull the pain, put your feet up and binge on Netflix. That's what I did when I injured my back a few years ago. The Whisky really helped. The best pain killer ever made by man. I assume there will be a big crash video to follow or did you just get 'pissed' and fall over? If so I hope you filmed that too 😂. Joking aside, you must be really 'cheesed off'. My thoughts are with you. Take care, my friend. Cheers. Stoozer. 🇨🇭🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

@@bigstoozeradventures Thank you very much Stoozer, I really appreciate your reply and can't thank you enough for your kind words, I really appreciate it. As soon as my medication is discontinued, I will toast you with a fine whisky. Have a great week my friend and take care of yourself.

I most certainly did. It was a bugger of a climb though but so worth it for the views. It's a magical Munro. Glad you enjoyed it. Cheers. Stoozer. 👍

Did a recce recently and got to that same section you stopped at to decide whether to keep going or not! I had all the same feelings as you - no point taking my eeb on these kinds of rides as you just end up pushing a 25kg lump up most of the way!
I bailed but still considering a return

My problem is I never learn. I did Carn Liath munro on the same bike and that nearly killed me also. On my next Munro adventure, I will definitely choose my normal Mountain Bike. It would have been a lot easier negotiating the climb that's for sure. But the big 160 forks were a boon on the descent. I was going to turn back but when that guy told me I was only 45 minutes from the summit I just had to go on and finish it. Saying that I laid on my sofa for the next three days, eating crisps, drinking beer and binging on Netflix. So, in the end, it was not a very healthy adventure for me 😂🤣😂. When I looked at my drone video afterwards, it appears that there is a much easier track to the left side of the main trail so if I did it again, I would choose that one. If I was you, I would give it another go on a long summers day just and take your time because the views from the plateau and the summit are jaw dropping. Mountain Biking it is all about sharing so I am chuffed you enjoyed the adventure. Cheers. Stoozer.

Well done, what a slog, I was thinking about doing this one, but after watching I may not do it lol, I recently got my rear gears ripped off halfway up a Munro in cairngorms, turns out they don't like Heather very much.. lesson learnt ...at least you got a brilliant day, I totally get you saying why the hell am I doing this 😅

This post really made me smile out loud. I did exactly the same last year, going through some Heather and ripped my derailleur off. Fortunately, I was only a mile or so from the van, otherwise it could've been a long walk. It was a mistake to choose the Ebike for this one, at times it felt like I was pushing a tank up a wall. It would have been much easier on my normal Marin MTB. It was a slog but well worth it. If I was you, I would give it a go next year on a nice hot summers day. The landscape is jaw dropping and made all that effort worthwhile in the end. Glad you enjoyed it pal. Cheers. Stoozer. 👍🏻

Fantastic day for riding Shiehallion, amazing view from top with some excellent drone shots. Know that feeling of hiking an ebike up a munro some parts are unrideable but like yourself once I start I have to get to top weather permitting its a bugger forgetting water and having to go back down and up again. Those steep steps down are difficult definetely one to be careful on along with the water bars dont want to hit them and crack rim of wheel (took bike to bike shop to replace spoke, turns out I had cracked rim new wheel needed they quoted £300 plus got online less than half that). Thanks for sharing Stoozer, once get new wheel will have to organise meet up, cheers Gary 😁🤙

That would be great Gary. I will be putting together our Benarty Hill adventure soon. It would be great to visit you over your way for our next adventure. Shiehallion was a great experience pal, but not one I would do it again. Well done, getting a cheaper quote online for your wheel. I crashed my drone recently. I got it repaired with Drone Doctor for 200 quid. Glad you enjoyed the video pal. Cheers. Stoozer. 🤠

Utterly awesome. Brilliant footage. My only suggestion is that it could even be improved slightly if you took fabulous with you.

A few comments: It's spelt Schiehallion. The shelter at 7 minutes 40 secs is a grouse butt, (the new path follows close to an old much less used path which linked up the dozen or so grouse butts on the east shoulder). There are no 'right' bikes for Schiehallion - it is better walked, and I say that as a mountain biker of 40 odd years. Interesting to see the mountain close up from a drone's perspective - have been up there dozens of times but drone picks out the (much more complex than it looks from ground level) topography of the shoulder and summit.

Oh dear me there goes my Dyslexia again (and maybe a typo to blame) for the frequent mispelling. Thank you for pointing it out though. I will put a comment in the video description highlighting the correct spelling so very much appreciated. I take your point about the bike but I have no doubt it would have been much easier on my lighter normal Mountain Bike. Just bad planning on my part. If I was to do it again it would most certainly be on foot😃. There you go showing my ignorance again regarding the grouse butt. Yes I was fair chuffed with the quality of the drone footage which made the tough climb worthwhile. At lease I can change the spelling on the Thumbnail and in the Video description so thank you very much for pointing it out. Very much appreciated. Cheers. Stoozer. 👍🏻

There you go my friend. Thumbnail, title and Video Description changed to show the correct spelling. I can't do anything about the text within the video and will just have to write myself off as an idiot...again 😂. Thanks again. Stoozer.
